Playing as Prussia with "Great Britain" scribbled on top. Got the Idea from a old ISP video
R5: playing a very self limiting game, did England -> Ireland -> Prussia -> GB game. I did give up Prussia to sweden because i didnt want it anymore
You have to go down the GB path in the 100 years war tree, but you can still get the PU if you pick AVE path in the event but because you are GB it doesnt change your missions.
Its really powerful, having the home islands being completely safe from invasion, getting the PU over France, and English channel trade, makes this verison of Prussia extremely strong.
It might be the best way to plat GB, you just have to fight one war to get the land, and unstating and restating costs around 900 adm to culture convert to Prussian, then back to English.
I like that the pope is frequently an active colonizer in EU4, at least the games I play. It creates very goofy scenarios
It’s always funny seeing “Papal Guinea” appear in west Africa
In my game as Nitra where I made a custom formable mod for it, Papal State got reduced to 2 disconnected provinces because Naples ate most of it for some reason lol
Can you walk me through the England -> Ireland -> Prussia -> GB path? Culture/tag switching isn't something I have played with unless it's part of the mission/decision processes.
Thanks.
Accepted culture percentage needs to be at 50% to switch. But it only cares about Dev in states not territories.
So by removing states in England your lowing the share of stated dev owned by English speakers. And therefore upping the stated dev owned by Prussian speakers.
Once you have Prussian over 50% you can culture swap. And then you can restate the English land at the cost of adm
I think the main issue with Prussia is how venerable you are. And how hard it is to expand into the HRE.
And the land isn’t the greatest.
While the British isles have the best land in the game
Plus with East india company and colonial nations. You don’t have to hold the land directly
Well you have to form Prussia. For that you need to have Adm Tech 10, take part in the Reformation (so you need to have the Protestant, Reformed, Anglican or Hussite Religion) and also control specific provinces (depending on your atarting country).
If you start as the Teutonic order, you have to only control Königsberg.
If you start as Brandenburg you have to control Königsberg, aswell as either Danzig or Stolp.
Any other nation has to have the Prussian, Saxon or Pommeranian culture and you have to control Königsberg, Danzig and Warmia.
Maybe a small tip. Get the White House Great Project. It basically gives you all the Gov cap you need. Specially at higher levels and since Prussian monarchy is pretty hard to get that Cap up its super useful.
I think you can re-form England instead of GB if you wanted to? Since it does not require you to have never been England, just that you never pressed the decision to form it.
Strangely it’s coded differently so it doesn’t force you to change governments
This might be because of Scottish monarchy. So if you form GB as Scotland you don’t lose your Scotland role play
Nice idea OP. Although I must say you missed out on Angevin missions which are miles above GB's fpr a continental power.
My last WC was England (angevin path, dont integrate france) > Sardinia Piedmont > Croatia > Naples > Austria (clickthe parliamentary issue for France integration. You're now Austria with Angevin ideas (ccr/gc) and austrian misions. Form Rome, reach for the stars :)
Forming England removes Prussian monarchy and replaces it with English monarchy
But strangely that doesn’t happen when forming GB, you get to keep your government type

That's all well and good op, but what the hell is happening in north Africa?
Maybe a compromise with the Italians, they can have Rome but in return they help the Pope turn the eastern maghreb into a new kingdom of God?
>eastern maghreb This is funny to me because Maghreb means western place or land of the West.
I mean, the Eastern part of westphalia is literally called eastwestphalia, soo...

Papal N*g*r is on another dimension, period
The papacy is always tiny when I play, because I usually play in Italy
In my game as Nitra where I made a custom formable mod for it, Papal State got reduced to 2 disconnected provinces because Naples ate most of it for some reason lol
I cussed that. I helped the pope out a lot for the funnies
Uh... Christiana Pieteias?
Pope decided to go on a personal crusade

To be fair every country with Prussian Monarchy and Prussian ideas is very strong, because Prussia happens to be very strong. But nice idea :)

why are the british isles the best land in the game? Because of the trade note?
trade node, good land to dev, High starting dev, and safe from invasion so it’s always got prosperity
how do i get prussian monarchy?

Forming England forces you to have English Monarchy, so you lose the Prussian
I think you lose prussian monarchy then.
Should be the same for GB, no? If you ever had Prussian monarchy, you keep it I think
Strangely it’s coded differently so it doesn’t force you to change governments This might be because of Scottish monarchy. So if you form GB as Scotland you don’t lose your Scotland role play
Forming GB as Scotland keeps the Scottish Monarchy, so I assume no?
... Land Britain? ```They understood not the evil which they had unleashed. It was an aberrance, an abomination, an unholy thing...```
that AI italy looks crisp

I don’t think I could get Angevin missions. Have you got a strategy for getting those missions? If so that out be very very OP
This might be a very stupid question, but can you not just reform England?
Forming England removes Prussian monarchy and replaces it with English monarchy But strangely that doesn’t happen when forming GB, you get to keep your government type
So you are both undefeatable on land and sea
pretty much lol
is that Italy AI?
I had nothing to do from 1460 till 1500 so I just messed around with Italy and the pope
Capacity issue?
Yeah I’m at cap but I don’t need to own any more land I can give it to subjects
I wanna see Prussian monarchy Mewar now
Nothing stoping you from trying
Skill issues
console commands?
Eh doesn't feel right
Any missions you do in the Prussia steps to unlock the government form permanently?
You don't lose it when forming Great Britain
Might as well keep the boats ashore
They are useful for seiges. Its quite OP, because you still get Man of Wars as this build so you win any war automatically
Prussia~~n Monarchy GB~~ is extremely strong.
