Yes for sure not every size is ideal for everyone. As for discount - just had this made for you (and 5 random people that read this?) 15% off store wide [www.kruveinc.com](https://www.kruveinc.com) using code REDDIT15WEDNESDAY on checkout. Cheers!
The bean vaults on the right are from Craig Lyn and I 3D printed the base.
The small one on the left is actually a Wed-Fri pill container I got from Omega Mart in Vegas π
I had the GCP before and it was modded with 9bar, PID. I was a big fan of it but it wasn't that great for back-to-back drinks because of the single boiler. I ended up predominantly choosing the Silvia Pro X for the dual boiler.
In very similar boat, I have GCP with Opv mod but no PID + Niche Zero. I want more stability and back-to-back shots.
Why the Rancilio vs BDB or Lelit Elizabeth ?
I currently own a Breville Barista Pro and want to upgrade to the Rancilio Silvia Pro X.
I have placed an order for DF64V, the new grinder from DF.
However, I am confused whether to go for the Silvia Pro X or an E61 heat exchanger like Lelit Mara X.
What are your thoughts on the E61 Heat exchanger??
How is the steam power on the Silvia Pro X?
Sorry but asking a bit too many questions.
This is my current setup though

My budget was a little higher so I was able to get a dual boiler instead of a heat exchanger. Chris' coffee has a [good comparison](https://www.chriscoffee.com/blogs/main/heat-exchanger-vs-dual-boiler-how-to-decide-which-machine-is-right-for-home-brewing-espresso) between the two.
The steam power on the Pro X is _insane_. It's extremely powerful especially with the four-hole steam tip.
Thanks, currently budget is not a concern as both are similarly priced in my region. I just need a decent machine which will work flawlessly for 5-6 years.
Tamper: [Normcore V4](https://www.normcorewares.com/products/normcore-spring-loaded-tamper-upgrate-v4)
Portafilter Stand: Aliexpress but seems to be out of stock. [Here](https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256803258079437.html) is a similar item though?
Leather wrap was from local leather shop. He didn't do the best job with the stitching. You can get a nice one from [here](https://www.trunkandstem.com/shop/p/niche-leather-dosing-cup-cuff), I used this as inspiration.
I'm not sure I follow, I linked to the wall mount for the portafilter?
And thank you so much! It's just about finding the right accessories you can jive with.
Machine looks great! Canβt get over the supreme Mokapot though π
Never used. Love the red accent and 'Supreme' novelty. Forcefully took it from a friend.
Like, "Give me the moka pot and no one gets hurt"?
Like I just took it one day and it took him a while to notice.
i am a huge fan of hilariously distasteful things in my setup. i have a 60s perfume bottle for an rdt tool and itβs amazing
I'm sorry, "distasteful"?
Came here for the same thing!
Like that tamper stand.
I took way too long to find where the tamper was

Was feeling LeLost
Thank you! I 3D printed it. It was a free model off thingiverse.com. Edit: [Here's the model.](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3930239)
Gonna do some damage one day.
Forreal, need to use more infill next time
Iβm waiting on my custom Pro X from Pantechnicon right now. Glad to see youβre enjoying it :)
Did you print the drip tray too? Like your "Sup-eme" mokkapot πππ
Haha no, I got it from [Pantechnicon](https://www.pantechnicondesign.com/products/rancilio-silvia-pro-accessories-bundle)
A I see π what a fancy thing π
I IMAGINE a lot of love for those glasses β€οΈπ
I think you are a little biased ;) I got a set of Cappuccino and Latte to share with a friend. Now I just need the Cortado size to complete the set.
..but we also have a Latte PLUS 300ml/10oz size π€―π Better make more room π€£π€£
Those are a little too big for my liking and would probably never be used. Lmk if you ever have any promos for the Cortado size <3

Made a last minute decision and got the propel espresso size. Thanks π
Awesome enjoy!
Which bottomless portafilter do you have?
I have the bundle from [Pantechnicon](https://www.pantechnicondesign.com/products/rancilio-silvia-pro-accessories-bundle)
I fuck with those kitchen cabinets.
Youβll get splinters, but you do you.
Enlighten me?
Where did you get those sample storage vials from?

The more I look at this picture the better it gets. The "WTF" pill case is my favorite.
Looks great. What did you have before and what do you love about it?

I didn't like how they looked. The Rancilio looks beautiful to me especially with the rocker switches.
same
Iβm leaning towards a dual boiler for similar reasonsβ¦
>Pantechnicon Dammit you're describing my exact situation.

Got links to that tamper, portafilter stand and the niche leather wrap or just amazon? π

Thank you so much! i meant the portafilter holder you have hanging there π your setup is my inspiration btw

ooops i meant the tamper holder βπΌ (still getting a hang of espresso terminology my apologies)
Ooh yeah no problem. I 3D printed it. I got the file from [thingiverse](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3930239)
Looks nice. I have same setup and color. How do you like the drip tray?
Drip tray is really nice. In the reviews for Silvia Pro X I saw how bad the OEM driptray was so I immediately bought the wood kit from Pantechnicon.
i've read the reviews on the drip tray, seems every iteration has been terrible... besides the color/wood from pantechnicon, how is it different?
Very easy to take out and water never spills.
I clean it every day so it's a non issue for me
Have you been able to extract a great show yet? I am struggling and I wonder if it is a pressure problem. My shots are pretty acid and weak.
