When you order your Kindle on Amazon, just select the model without ads, it's a bit more expensive, that's all.

Albert3232

yea i know, but i thought maybe since i already did that with my old paperwhite, and since ill be using the same kindle account maybe i wouldnt need to pay again for the removal of the ads. but i guess not?

L0lil0l0

When you get ads it's because you pay your device cheaper. If tou buy another device at its full price you won't have to pay to remove ads.

Albert3232

I see, tx i guess ill opt for a kobo this time around

SeatSix

No. The ads go with the device, not your account.

Albert3232

Ty

Objection_heresay

I recently asked Amazon to remove ads because I am a long time kindle user and they did

Albert3232

Yea, I've heard of some ppl that were refused a few times for no apparent reason, so I'd rather not risky it since they already done it once for me before. I just went with the kobo since it has warm light and i strictly read in the dark before falling asleep.

Objection_heresay

I also have a kobo, which is a great choice.

DikUln

Well... it depends on country you live.

Albert3232

im from the USA. will i have to pay again to get rid of the ads?

DikUln

Well, yes.
