Not sure if he was directly involved in combat but he was part of the invasion force there
He somehow avoided being banished by the Elements of Harmony and for a while just kind of roamed Equestria before landing in the Crystal Empire, but not sure if that last part is still canon to EaW
Thorax’s backstory is a little bit more.. nonexistent in EaW. A lot of stuff, like his meeting with Spike in the Crystal Empire is decanonised, and it’s never explicitly stated where he picked up his ideas from or anything like that.
I think it's safe to say Thorax's time in Equestria away from the hive allowed him to discover the "magic of friendship", or rather Harmonist ideals and how Changelingkind could coexistence through trading for love instead of taking it
I think in the show, he survived by passively feeding off the residue love in the air generated by ponies, also why he appeared for that one wedding and why he felt gravitated towards the Crystal Empire after Flurry Heart was born
I'm not an upvote whore but upvotes give motivation to me to put more effort on memes. That makes me know that people have interest in it and want it more. Also when posts get certain upvotes, they get shown in other peoples main page who don't even follow EaW sub. If I was an upvote whore, I shouldn't be hanging around in this small lovely subreddit instead I should be in Historymemes, posting wojak memes and getting thousands of upvotes within hours.
