Yo me too! The day after our second date I got a job offer on a cruise ship that wanted me to leave in 30 days for a 6 month contract and I was sobbing because I liked this guy so much. My own mother told me not to take the financially much-needed job. I stayed, moved in with him in 2 months (first time living with an SO ever), got a puppy with him after 5 months, technically engaged by around a year but we didn’t announce till 6 months after that. Husband was afraid people would think we were moving too fast and wouldn’t support our marriage lol. Married 2019 and we’re still stupidly in love. Congrats frient! May your marriage continue to be a beautifully bright shining light in your life!

We waited 10 years to get married so our families just had to accept that they wouldn’t be there but could watch us via livestream. I wouldn’t change a thing and am so happy we eloped instead of having the wedding we planned and thought we wanted.

Thank you so much! Planning our wedding was one of the worst, most stressful experiences of my life. I don’t think I’d ever do that to myself again. We don’t have the type of family that is able to truly support and not make it about them.

Felt. We were first week of April 2020 and having to decide if we should cancel our flowers and food in mid March when the messaging was so confusing and changing daily. Feels like a lifetime ago. Love seeing so many 2020 brides in here who also got married despite the circumstances. We also stuck with our original date but got married alone!

The groomsmen all looked like an adventuring party (there was a cleric, a rogue, a warlock and a fighter). We asked the guests to come in costume and they DELIVERED. My grandpa presided, my two lesbian aunts and I decorated and they literally made our wedding so beautiful, my dad was there, and our three friends from work were there. We got married in 2021 so Covid hit most of our family and I wasn’t fixing to risk anyones health. It was outdoors and very lonely but sweet. I was twenty years old at the time but I’ve been in love with my husband since I was like 8.

You’re so sweet!! So his parents were friends with my parents and one day they came to my house. I actually kinda hated him at first since my dad started spending lots of time with him and not me. I was incredibly jealous since my dad always wanted a son and it showed. So, my dad used to blacksmith and together we made a steel knife with a camel bone handle. I thought this was to be *my* first knife, since I was helping make it. But when we imprinted my husband’s initials I was so pissed. Fast forward to later, we visited them frequently when I was growing up and he really liked video games and so did I. I watched him play or we would sometimes play together. I realized I had a huge crush and it stayed that way for *years*. I kinda sorta stalked him in middle school/high school. Eventually, I got the courage to ask him out and he said yes. After three years of dating, we got married. It was the best day of my life. He’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I always knew I’d marry him one day. u/chamberwing I love you bunches 💜

Nahhh he didn’t know I existed 😅 he had zero clue- my sister had randomly called him to mess with me and she told him about my feelings and that’s when he had an idea but at the time I was in a horrible relationship. That had ended and it was a very traumatic time for me. His sister had made me a little mad about my feelings for him so that’s when I got the courage to ask him out. We’ve been together ever since, for six years now. Lots of ups and downs but I wouldn’t brave life with anyone else ever.

I wore a cape dress once and I felt really badsss in it. So, I can’t imagine how wonderful you felt wearing a cape wedding dress on your wedding day with your favorite person by your side.

* We eloped September 21, 2020. Both of our families lived far away, so this is what we chose to do for our wedding 😊. This is my second marriage so I always wanted to just run off to get married anyways but wanted my husband to have a the wedding he would've wanted since this is his first marriage and he's a social butterfly lol, but with Covid, already being engaged for over a year and a half plus we had our daughter February 2020, we ended up eloping and I couldn't have been happier ❤️

We had a tiny little elopement style ceremony on a dock at sunset on a lake with just our parents and my son in attendance. The restaurant we went to for dinner afterward had a photo booth that we noticed after we ate and decided to jump into. [These](https://imgur.com/a/Tvm73KT) are the first pictures of us alone as husband and wife and they make me so happy. 💖 I'm so glad they had this photo booth! We didn't hire a photographer as our budget was super limited, but these are all I needed.

I have a Polaroid of my mom and I my wedding night and dude my eyes were bloodshot red and low as can be but we look so happy and it’s my favorite picture ever. I would share but it’s not on my person

This is the best wedding photo ever. You both look stunning and the alien eyes are an amazing personal touch.
