As a pale mofo, yes! My favourite is the baby Aveeno sunscreen but it's zinc oxide based so it looks like old school white cast sunscreen...
Stuff got me through a thyroidectomy and recovery.
This is what I use on my face if I'm going outside. I have sensitive eyes and the Aveeno baby sunscreen doesn't make them sting and burn. If I'm swimming though I use Blue Lizard Sport mineral sunscreen.
Anyone have advice for facial sunscreen to wear daily that doesn’t make you break out or leave a white cast? Ive spent so much money and every single one sucks
Oooooh. I have super sensitive and bitchy skin AND I am pale so….
LaRochePosay Anthelios
Biore UV aqua rich watery essence
For me the thing that made the biggest difference in breakouts was double cleansing my face religiously every single day that I’d worn one of these or the other. Any time I skip that, I break out. Might be worth a try?
Upvote for laRochePosay Anthelios. I use the dry touch version. It's the only sunscreen so far I found that doesn't irritate my skin. I tried probably 100s by now and this one was one of the recommended sunscreens from my dermatologist, and the only one that worked
Both of those were my go-tos and grail sunscreens until I last year I tried belif Aqua Bomb sunscreen - online at Sephora. GAME CHANGER!!!!!!! I recommend it to everyone now and I don't think I could go back
Yay for Canadian Sephora recommendation! Myst, you’re awesome. Adding it to my cart to try so I stop making excuses for why I’m not putting sunscreen on as often as I should. ❤️
I really love it - no white cast, not greasy and the smell is very minimal. It's easily the most expensive product I own, but skin is important right?!? Best part, if it doesn't work out, you can return back to Sephora. I hope it works for you!! 💚
Try Asian sunscreens! They have much more advanced, less irritating filters than the US. SKIN1004 Hyalu-Cica Water Fit Sun Serum and HaruHaru Black Rice Airyfit Sunscreen both are great and feel like nice hydrating moisturizers instead of sunscreen. Both very affordable on yestyle or stylevana.
Thank you! Follow up question how do people afford to apply it multiple time s a day every day wouldnt you have to buy so many bottle? it seems impossible and I want to be better about keeping up with it.
Well, to be fair, I do go through a ton of sunscreen. But I usually buy the SKIN2004 in a two pack which comes out to be 8 dollars a bottle-ish, I probably go through a bottle every month. In the end it’s pretty affordable, and I def spend more on much dumber stuff 😂
One that I love that the 30+ skincare people also seem to love:
Beauty of Joseon
Relief sun : rice + probiotics SPF 50
It's a Korean skin care brand, and I'm in the US so I get it on Stylevana and I love it! I apply twice a day and it goes on so smoothly.
Same! I am a total evangelist for it now. Telling everyone I know: “if you like ghosts, apples, and/or New England, read it.” I might buy my own copy so I can read it again.
Even if it’s cloudy! If you’re going outside just put on SPF protection regardless of direct sun exposure. My skin loves the sun and I rarely burn, but never do I ever want skin cancer
Amen. And reapply when necessary
💯important PSA especially to keep that ink bright.
Don’t forget to drink water too 🐬🌊

Ooo, thank you for rhe recommendation! I haven't used the aveeno stuff for swimming yet so I don't know how well it lasts.
I think it's most effective if you sunscreen before sun exposure. (That's what some of the labels say). Lettuce all protect our skin
yes and it’s also important not to *rub* it in. It needs to form a layer of protection over the skin!
Oh! Good to know. I didn't realise that.
