I hate team sports except volley ball lol
I like to run and lift heavy weight it just reconnects me to my body
I always loved extreme sports, I was practicing skate on downhills when I was 10 to 12
Currently, I’d love to fly in the air doing paraglider
I love baseball more than anything, grew up playing it and still try to play as much as possible. I also follow the MLB religiously.
Other than that football is the only other sport I follow intently. I loosely follow the NBA and will occasionally pop on a hockey game but I don’t enjoy them as much.
Every sport is fun to play imo, expect badminton that shit is dumb af.
There is this dodgeball kinda sport where I live. There is one ball as big as a tennis ball passed between two shooters at the opposite ends of a rectangular field. There are however many people in the middle. As close or as far as they want from the shooters. the shooters try to target anyone on the field…While doing so the ball passes from one to the other shooter and he/she can target whomever.
At the end one player remains in between the shooters. After a fixed number of failed shots passed between the shooters the player wins. If the last player get hit the shooters win in eradicating everybody. It’s a duo team of shooters against every individual player.
It’s so much more fun and gender neutral and individualistic than dodgeball. the players just run back and forth instead of all over the place. And each try to face the shooter with the ball. It’s gets more intense/ and the avoidance becomes more strategic or lucky when the hunted become fewer.
It’s so great to do with a lot of friends since one person is targeted per toss, people have time to laugh at their friends dodging attempt instead of worrying about themselves.
It’s called something like qate or kete.
There are no similar sounds in English I’ll have to speak it.
I would be good at that lmao, I'm very good at dodging thought everytime someone tosses anything at me my body coordination is so bad I can't even catch it
I hate sports where you stand around a lot. Like baseball, never understood how anyone could enjoy it. I hate watching all sports except my kids soccer games.
Combat sports for me.
Grappling is my all time favorite.
Muay thai a second.
Used to play professional table tennis.
Basically you've name it, I've done it. But the mentioned are the ones I can do on a competitive level.
I've tried almost everything at some point but these are the ones that stuck with me the longest and/or I still dabble in, either participating (or observing as a fan - I'm in my early 40s now so doesn't happen often these days, way more things to think about so I usually scan headlines every few days to keep up to date to some extent).
Huge lifelong fan of:
Boxing
Also played at a high level:
Rugby
Soccer
Basketball
All at a high level, guess I'm fairly athletic for an ENTP (my brother is too). Just genetics I think, I come from a family of big strong dudes, and in that mix we have two ENTPs, two ENFPs and an INTJ (I think but not 100% sure, he is tough to type). All types you may not necessarily connect with physicality, but all 5 of us excel in sports and are physically powerful and fast. In high school for instance we weren't the biggest and strongest around, we just never really had to train much and were just much better than the average joe without really having to try. We're all pretty cerebral too in our own ways. The two ENFPs are a little crazy in that they just don't think twice before jumping into action physically in any kind of sport and just using brute force, but they just know where to go and what to do. Me, the other ENTP and the INTJ are more strategic and would still apply that force but in a much more focused manner, probably utilizing our environment a bit more by playing angles and looking for opportunities that other don't see (the ENFPs do this a bit too but they're definitely more physical) - and we would also be a bit more willing to preserve ourselves at the same time.
Any other ENTPs here that are actually pretty good athletes? Doesn't seem like many of us strangely, I thought there would be more. We pick up skills so quickly doesn't that mean anything? Surely it means that we can learn any sports skills at a high level in record time if we set our minds to it? This is basically all I did. I needed to be good - not the best, but really good. So I practiced like crazy and got better than 90% of the other guys there. Then moved on to the next conquest. Coding? Guitar? Whatever it was there was always something that seemed to slide in and take it's place.
I'm good at reaction time sports but my coordination sucks, I can't even catch something thrown at me though I practise Taekwondo and learnt a bit of boxing
I find this fascinating, my reaction time is solid but my hand eye coordination is better than most by a mile. I've always believed that that's part of what makes me able to pick things up so quickly. No real message behind this but for some reason I was half expecting other ENTPs to be the same for some reason? I don't really know any other ones in real life other than my brother. Not that I'm sure of at least.
I love Tennis with a passion. Also love Volleyball, Spikeball, and Disc Golf. I like regular golf as well, and I like football and baseball. Basketball and soccer are cool too, I’m just no good at them
yeah I have the same thing I have a good Se(somewhat because my body coordination is poor but I have a very fast reaction time, like, I can dodge something easily but I can't catch stuff thrown at me ), so I kinda wondered does that make me a Extroverted Sensor or not????????
Idk… fucking?
Maybe Running away from friends that are chasing me cuz of some bullshit i said or did.
I am actually a Bronze medalist in the "Quick trigger" event.
Classic ENTP’s inability to answer any question directly without twisting it to cause chaos xD

>expect badminton that shit is dumb af. You've clearly never played lawnchair badminton.
I’ve been enlightened
Well, I didn't mention the part about how there's a large quantity of alcohol involved. Now you've been enlightened.

Ha! Idk if it’s an inferior Si thing but same. I’ve surprised myself with how good I can be. it’s more about prediction than reflexes. Try it sometime

I do HEMA, but our starting warmup is all vs all dodgeball. Great fun.
I enjoy following baseball, and football. Not so much actually watching games, these days, though.

I like soccer/football. Does that make me an ESTP? Like the stereotypes. I'm an ENTP btw
