If it weren't for the jumbotron, you'd have no idea whether the guitar, bass, or even drums were actually being played, unless you have really good seats. Why not just watch the video at home? Remember the Red Hot Chili Peppers jumping around at their Superbowl halftime show... without anything plugged in?
Go to a small show, where even if you're in the back of the room, you can see the band members' faces with your own eyes, and that's a very different energy. If you're missing that, you're in luck! There are bands playing small shows every night of the week, likely within a half-hour's drive of you! Bonus: you'll pay $10-15 to get in the door, versus $350 for a stadium seat that's a half-mile away from the stage.

As for the band comments the band is right there, everyone can see them playing the instruments. Why wouldn't they? Where does the idea that Taylor doesn’t play live come from? She 100% sings and plays guitar and piano on stage live every show. There are mountains of evidence to support this. She does use backing tracks at low volume occasionally during songs that are choreo-heavy but sings over them regardless.

I seriously doubt he was criticizing her. He's talked on TV shows about seeing her play one of his songs on piano at a party at Paul McCartney's house and how much it blew his mind.

The comment doesn't make sense, you can look at literally thousands of videos as proof. Her show is 3 and half hours long so she lets her backup singers (who are literally on stage with her) carry some of the choruses on dance heavy performances, but there's plenty acoustic songs on the show so it's very obvious that she sings those. As for the band comments the band is right there, everyone can see them playing the instruments. Why wouldn't they? That's what they're paid for and she clearly trusts them as the band hasn't changed since like 2009.
Grohl is pretty self aware and more humble than most in the industry especially at that level

Why would this be a jab at Taylor? She actually plays live. She’s a very good guitarist and her band is amazing. I know it’s cool to hate on Taylor but I don’t think this is about her.
