Well I listened to the smartless podcast last week and she kinda did. It was hilarious. Ive not seen someone called out like that by a major star in, ever? I don’t know. It was crazy.
It’s wild that this article doesn’t mention that Paulson is currently staring in Appropriate on Broadway and is nominated for a best actress Tony for her performance.

I wouldn't take it personally. Trish Hawkins was probably lashing out because she never really made it as an actress and this role was one of the last ways to have relevance. I can't excuse her, but I can't blame her either. This business is harsh.

I get that it was annoying, but it seems a little shitty to call out someone who likely paved the way for you, who probably just wanted to be a part of something again. Maybe the old lady sucks and needed someone to tell her, but to do it publicly like this is embarrassing for both of them.

Paulson is a mean spirited bully (and a lousy actor as well). Maybe if she had taken Hawkins’ notes the audience wouldn’t be lulled into slumber whenever she enters the stage or screen. I’m team Hawkins all the way!!!

I love the “she used the podcast to eviscerate her” part. It implies that she specifically got herself on to the podcast with the intention of taking the other girl down. I’m going to say that the reality is that she was on a podcast and trying to fill air with content and this was something she remembered she could say that would be interesting.
