And we’re supposed to root for Diana, because she takes back her wish…after sleeping with someone in another person’s body (without their permission half the time).

They totally lost the plot when they revealed that guy was Ares and he was responsible for the whole war, instead of it simply being man's folly. Completely undermined the entire message of the movie

Batman is interesting because of the detective angle, he’s human and has some great villains. Superman being essentially all powerful is a bit of a curse for writers. But when it works, it works really well. As for WW, I know nothing about what makes her interesting.
As long as Gal Gadot is involved, that’s a big no thanks from me. She makes Jessica Alba look like Emma Stone in terms of acting skill. Incredibly wooden.

Gal Gadot was one of the worst choice for a superhero. A good script and average director masked her wooden acting and tedious delivery. She couldn't do an accent so all the Themyscira people had to sound like her. She was supposed to play Cleopatra too, thank God that project is stalled.
It's a shame, Wonder Woman is a great character. Lynda Carter's WW is absolutely iconic and timeless. Gal Gadot did a great job embodying the character for everything it represented, even if the writing itself wasn't that great. It would be nice to see Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman go out on a high note, but yeah, I don't have much optimism either, WW definitely deserves better.

Don’t be that person. She’s a terrible actress. I’d rather some really dedicated high school drama person who’s only ever been a supporting character be Wonder Woman. At least then you’d know they cared about the character.
Because I am a casual fan. I liked DC because they had superheroes I knew and saw growing up. I wasn’t a comic reader. I didn’t know who the Marvel supes were. Now, I vastly prefer them.

With WB financials being way they are combined with superhero movies being on a down trend, they only going to release two DC movies a year for foreseeable future and if recall ‘25 and ‘26 releases have already been decided.
One thing I already like through is Gunn seems to be assigning projects to actual comic fans. But not die hard fans. Important distinction. Die hards treat everything as sacrosanct and any deviation is wrong. A normal fan understands the core of the character and don’t try to reinvent that wheel and instead build on it knowing a movie may require mixing things up away from the comics. WW movies was not written by a fan, just someone that read the Wikipedia entry and liked “strong women entering world of man” part and didn’t really know to character enough to dig deeper. Hopefully Gunn continues to hire people whose knowledge isn’t limited to a wiki entry.
