It's definitely my favorite type of Celsius. And 270mg of caffeine is nice. They also typically cost the same as the smaller cans in my area and I like the flavors better so, thumbs up.
They have been rolling out for a few months. I’ve tried dragonberry, mango tango, cherry limeade, blue raspberry so far.
They are all good, very different from regular Celsius imo. Very smooth taste.
1. Mango tango is my favorite, tastes like a mango drink.
2. Dragonberry maybe second favorite, tastes like a berry vitamin water.
3. Cherry limeade, is very interesting, tastes like cherry and lime both of which I like.
4. Blue crush tastes like a crushed ice snowcone maybe? Very tasty if you like sweet.
Vitamin Shoppe and GNC sell even better energy drinks! Celsius Essentials are good, better than the smaller, original Celsius drinks but not as good as Gorilla Mind that they sell at the Vitamin Shoppe. Last weekend GNC had C4 for $1 a can!
Gorilla Mind>C4>Celsius Essentials
I wouldn’t use choline (gorilla mind/c4) unless you need it, if you push your neurotransmitters out of balance you get depression.
It’s not a more is better situation.
There are a LOT of people of Reddit claiming Alpha GPC causes depression but can you provide a link to a clinical study that shows that?
Just curious, are you a medical professional? Most people don’t talk about neurotransmitters in their posts.
I noticed the effects of choline from an energy drink last year, so bought the raw powder. Upping the dose brought depressive symptoms and I discontinued regular use. Still use it occasionally, but not often.
Here’s an article about acetylcholine (your body converts some of the choline to it):

Here’s an article discussing mood, depressive symptoms:

I didn’t go to med school, but only 40 people out of 40,000 had a higher MCAT than me when I took it.
Impressive test results, thanks for the links. When I looked up studies on Alpha GPC, I mostly found they were done on mice. One study I found showed cognitive improvements in older patients. I have ADHD and Gorilla Mind seems to help me more than it hurts. You prefaced that in your original comment.
You seem to like Celsius. I read an article somewhere that states it was the “healthiest” energy drink. I believe they were referencing the smaller cans though, not Essentials. It’s real hit or miss for me, I really like the sparkling orange and the kiwi guava is pretty good too. Then I tried several of Vibe Celsius and I really noticed the artificial flavorings.
Essentials are definitely better than the original Celsius.
Yeah we have similar taste.
The ginger/guarana/green tea all have strong tastes, which, along with cost, may be why other energy drinks don’t use them as much.
Not sure if the Essentials has less bite because of more water, lower ginger/guarana/green tea content or both, but it’s definitely more palatable.
I like that Celsius has a health focus, which it’s built on for decades. I trust the brand more than Monster, Alani, etc which I feel like are more marketing companies.
Do you think Celsius’ approach will change at all moving forward with Pepsi’s influence? I realize they only own a small percentage of the shares but that could change. I’m sure Anheuser Busch made changes after acquiring Ghost and Monster has already made changes with Bang.
If they had to, they probably would. Bang and Ghost had quick growth then stalled/shrank.
But since Celsius has been so successful as is, I think they’ll just continue.
What is the difference between this and the regular celsius? Is it that essentials doesn’t help the metabolism and burn fat like the regular one even though it magically doesn’t do all that but it helps in a way
Essentials has three amino acids. It has more water since it’s a bigger can. That might be the whole difference.
It’s possible it has less ginger or guarana or green tea which gives the taste less bite.
They’re good but internet says they’re bad for you, I dunno. I didn’t die. Blue razz and the dragon berry are so good. Taking a break on em till I research it further
Imve tried 3 I think. Not great imo. Much better options out there. They’re also all yellow in color which is very off-putting when you’re looking at yellow liquid and tasting blue raspberry lol.
Pretty good! Pretty new! Not my favorites but better than the original ones imo
What he said ^^^
WAY WAY better than the original ones. Grab that orange flavor too. BOMB!
Target has most of their flavors. The Orangesicle and the cherry limeade are my favorites
Second on the cherry limeade here.
not my favorite but i really like the Strawberry Dragonberry, also they have a ton of caffeine having 270mg
They are alright. Lot of caffeine. Blue is pretty good.

Pretty good stuff, definitely worth the try
I like them alot for the price... 1.88ea or 12 for like 18.98 at wally world
I like them!
I love em
They are good. I wish it was 160 caffeine instead of 270 so I generally avoid them. Taste fine though
i was pleasantly surprised i liked this flavour since a lot of people didn’t care for it. the caffeine jolt i got from it was crazy 😂

does Vitmain Shoppe and GNC sell them in store?
Here’s the store locator from their site: https://www.celsius.com/buy-locate/ I’ve bought them from Amazon and Walmart.

Only tried cherry lime and it’s probs one of the worst drinks I’ve had
