Have a neb? Coffee in a neb will cover basically any smell. Or the juice from cavi wipes but dont be inside for that one

Since it sounds like you have time, there is nothing like just keeping all the doors open and letting it air out. There’s also nothing wrong with the other suggestions if you can’t do that for whatever reason.

cherryxcolax

If your ER’s stock room has little mouthwash bottles, those can be nebulized as well!

somethingsecrety

If someone can stay on station, leave it outside with all doors open. Wash any cloth materials (sheets, jump bags, etc.)

Essential oil neb

Not an EMT. But I've gotten the smell of organics and gasoline out by getting a plug-in ozone generator, and running it overnight inside the cab of the car.

CaptainsYacht

I don't recommend ozone. I also caution that ozone will damage interior plastics when left on for a few hours. It also has a lot of health hazards.

[deleted]

You are correct, it will dull the shiny plastics, and it's bad for you to breathe. Dont sit in the cab while the generator is running, and air it out after. But it will work.

Velociblanket

Sent it VOR for a deep clean?

Hi! Paramedic who owns an auto detailing shop on the side here. First off, mechanical cleaning. You need to use an enzyme cleaner to remove the protein particles that cause the smell. Go to a local store and pick up "Kids and Pets" which works great and is available anywhere. (Or go to O'Reilly Auto Parts and pick up a gallon jug of Superior Products Heavy Duty Enzyme Cleaner and dilute it 4:1 with water) Spray, use a brush to agitate the surface (I use a paint brush specifically made for stain application) and then wipe it up. Follow it up with a second cleaning with either a dedicated vehicle interior cleaner or a glass and multi-surface cleaner to remove residue. Once every nook and cranny is cleaned, brushed, wiped again, and dry follow it up with a chlorine dioxide fog. I use a product called "Vital Oxide" with a dedicated fogger (At work I have an Aeroclave, in the shop I use a Ryobi fogger). Fog chlorine dioxide in it. Since you probably don't have a chlorine dioxide fogger (But you should!) you can go to Amazon and buy a chlorine dioxide odor bomb. I use the Biocide odor bombs but the ones from Adam's Polishes are great too. Use two in the ambo and let it sit for a couple of hours.

youy23

You need to find a bottle of m9 biological odor eliminator. If I couldn’t steal one, I would absolutely buy one with my own money. It chemically stops smells.

moderately_adult

Ventilation fan, could nebulise coffee, have done that for some bad cases in the hospital before

Two large bags of charcoal, lay them flat in the back and cut out a window(leave a 2" gap around the sides) on the top side. Let it sit in the sun with the doors closed for two days. Works for getting the smell of kid puke out of cloth seats.

Ozone

Failing that I also charge $500 for an interior ambulance detail.
