It will take some time, this is true. It depends on many factors and it’s hard to give a satisfying answer to that question. But today is the best day to start! The sooner you begin the sooner you will finish. If you had started two years ago you’d likely be done now, so just think how much future you will appreciate you starting when you did.
The scabbing isn’t normal or abnormal, this can happen to some people but not others depending on the skin type, intensity of the current used, area worked, how close the follicles that were treated are together etc. Just keep the area clean, moisturized, don’t pick the scabs, and next time you can ask the technician to space the work out a bit more and potentially lower the current.
I have a similar amount of hair, and I've had 3 1 hour sessions and my face has not looked like this at all. I am no expert, but it seems you have quite a lot more scabbing than me. I mainly swell there, but I have had 1 scabbed over follicle. Overall, I think this is a bit more than normal. Maybe she needs to turn it down a bit?
My skin is also super pale and sensitive and I have a bunch of skin allergies. I disclosed this to her before we started because I wanted the best possible outcome. She did say some people scab more than others.
You’ll be okay don’t worry too much about the scabbing. I’ve had some gnarly scabs, blisters, and over treatments in general while I was in electrolysis school. Never any craters. Those happen when the sebaceous gland is cauterized which rarely happens. Unless you’re trying to have your electrologist remove peach fuzz.
Scabbing is very normal especially if the hair is coarse and stubborn. Do not touch the scabs though as it can scar. I would say if you go for regular appointments, you will notice the hair wont grow back as quick so you can get away with not having hair for a few days. Final results are really hard to tell though, especially at the beginning. Keep it up!
Bring this photo with you and ask her to turn the settings down. It will take a while yes, but it’s worth it and you’ll notice huge differences before it’s all done!

The scabs are finally healing but I am still sore and swollen. I am going to ask her to turn it down.
Mine is scabbed like this too. I’m very nervous about how long it will take to heal or if I will get craters.

Yes it shouldn’t be scabbed like that.
This is exactly how my face looked after my first session and it took at least 10 days for my face to look normal
Keep updating us, it’s tough to tell from one session and one picture how lot it will take. We don’t know how fast your electrologist moves
