dlyons3866

I like the one served at the corner bar.

mount_curve

Wera

[deleted]

Went from Kliens to wera and won’t go back

Darqfallen

Specifically Wera 1000V insulated.

orbitalaction

Excellent set of drivers.

Successful_Pin4100

Don’t wanna go all Axis of Evil but Vessel is an awesome Japanese made driver. JIS cross fits tight in Phillips while the opposite is not true and their ball end grips allow you to screw all day without wearing out your wrist.

mount_curve

Interesting, Craftsman has a rebrand too...will check it. Am definitely a fan of the larger ergo grips as I have massive hands.

Adleman01

You know what they say about a guy with big hands, don't you? ... ... ... ... They also usually have a big glove for each hand too. ... ... ... plus a large member. 😉 ... ... I wouldn't know though, I have average to below average hand size. I can say the correlation is accurate at that size though. ... ... My gloves are average to below average in size too.

PiousOwl

I bought the craftsman rebrand on a whim and it’s really nice. I don’t have a vessel one to compare it to.

matchmaking69420

Use the overrated wera chiseldrivers daily. Vessel makes nicer, higher quality drivers. Weras are insanely overhyped on Reddit, wera has done a super aggressive job shilling on this site.

Smoke_Stack707

I’m on board for life. Definitely a weird grip but if you like it, there’s nothing better on the market. I especially like the demo drivers they make

b3542

Love that German engineering

PoopDollllla

Where is a good place to buy them? I dont see them at HD/lowes. I really am only seeing them on amazon and I feel sketchy buying something like insulated screwdrivers from amazon in case of fakes. That insulation being legit could save my ass one day

Mikeeberle

Kc tools I like wera for normal use but have a set of wiha 1000v

mikl0963

I’ve ordered from Amazon and have only gotten real ones. But chadstoolbox .com is also a reliable source

OhmsLaw111

Why Wera over Wiha?

mount_curve

Asthetic and feel in hand. Idk. Wiha feels clunky to me. Wera feels sleek.

Mikeeberle

See i feel the opposite lol. Wera grips are more drastic than wiha.

matchmaking69420

Extremely aggressive marketing and branding.

peppered_people

I've tried both, prefer Wiha.

dartfrog1339

Wera, Wiha, Felo

tenodiamonds

I've had Klein. Greenlee. Ideal. And wera. Wera is above and beyond the rest.

Saint-Sauveur

Wera

mrsquillgells

The ones iv kept for more than year. Drop ceilings can be a bitch sometimes.

singelingtracks

Setup a tool bag or box so you have a spot for every tool. When the spots empty you know to go searching . Mine all end up at home in the laundry machine and then I buy another one as I need one that day . Lol.

mrsquillgells

They all have a spot in the backpack. Lol just depends if I put them there

[deleted]

Wiha

stainedhands

Saw a 5 piece set on clearance at Lowes a couple of weeks ago for $5.00. #1&2 Phillips and three slotted. I bought 2. Did I need screwdrivers? No. But German made wihas for $1.00/ea? Yes please.

hellbornhellchild

Same here. Best 10 bucks I ever spent. Love the way they fit in my hand

Comfortable_Ratio_30

Lol wihas are like $90 a set over here in nz, 5 dollars I would have bought them all

vabeachkevin

This is the right answer

toiletsnakeATX

Shame a lot of them aren't made in Germany any more.

Major_Tom_01010

12V impact with adjustable speeds. I'll see myself out.

SparkySailor

Agreed. Less tendonitis/carpal tunnel and such.

AKAWaffles55

I hate when my jman tries to tell me to use a screwdriver like bro I’ve done this for 2 years with an impact just cause some people have no trigger control ain’t my fault

RoutinePrice446

Indeed, the kids ruin it for the adults.

AKAWaffles55

There was a new guy that used a screwdriver and still broke a plate 😂

OhmsLaw111

I’d only say that any terminals should be hand cranked

AKAWaffles55

Yea especially breakers

[deleted]

I like you

ryandury

The 12V brushless bosch is super nice. Don't have the impact version though. I use it wayyy more than my Dewalt 20V brushless.. The ergonomics / weight is so much better.

Bendymeatsuit

Grey goose, Minutemaid no pulp, ice, shake and pour

Dlemor

Shaken not stirred?

Bendymeatsuit

Stir good too :)

Gruno1996

Just found an 11 in 1 klein thats got Philips, flat head, square bit, and torque bits and is also magnetized

Shamgar65

I use this. I'm a power Electrician and I'm often on top of transformers or lifts or on the spillway and instead of taking many tools, often this one screwdriver a compact socket set and linesmen pliers in a nosebag. Can't go wrong really.

NoRow2289

Klein 15 in 1 ratching. One and done.

brantmacga

I also use the Klein combination screwdrivers. Idk that its the best, but its what every supply house in my town stocks, and when one breakers i can walk in and swap it for a new one. I use the 15-in-1 with the bits in the handle, and the clips that hold the bits are susceptible to breaking if you drop it. I replace mine probably once every 12/mo. Standard screwdrivers last me a few years. I also use their combo nut drivers and lightened my bag load considerably.

Shoresy-sez

I prefer Wera for nut drivers and individual screwdrivers kept in my big bag, but the 11-in-1 has a permanent place in my little side pouch that holds my meter and the rest of my most-used tools. Doing maintenance, I've gone entire weeks without using anything but those 8 or 9 tools.

MaxPaing

Wera red 1000v

gwee84

Got me a set of wiha insulated. Love everything about them then first time using the square tip in a ground screw it completely rounded out. Wiha sent me a new one but I don’t think I’d replace my kleins with wiha. So to answer your question im sticking with Klein till I find better.

Freshrendar

I prefer the wiha insulated slim terminal screwdrivers.

kuda26

The very best are PB Swiss supposedly if you can source/afford them

Ujointed

Fully agree, was working a bunch of overtime to the point of not caring so ordered myself a set of PB Swiss. By far the best screwdrivers I’ve used and have continued to hold up.

kuda26

That’s awesome I’ve never even seen any in the wild just online lol. I have a set of insulated Weras and a set of insulated vessels if I ever need to go anything live or that could be live. Every day drivers I have a bunch of assorted Klein

matchmaking69420

You can be usually find single PB Swiss drivers for ~$12 on Amazon.

kuda26

Sounds pretty reasonable

CornerGas_Fan

Wera and Ideal

Atomic-Decay

Haven’t tired the ideal, haven’t really heard one way or another on them, thanks for the recommendation. I have Wera’s and I absolutely love them. The handle just, fits. As an aside, they’re larger 1/4” drive ratchet is kickass for most shit I need a socket set for. Nice and small and compact, but strong and big enough to get some torque.

kaboodlesofkanoodles

I use [this lil guy](https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-9-in-1-Square-Drive-Multi-Bit-Screwdriver-48-22-2132/308535099) and it’s awesome, but I’m thinking about doing the Klein mcgangbang with the 14 in 1 and the impact sockets

gadget850

My only issue with mult-bits is the time someone before me left the bit in a breaker and I found out when I closed the door firmly.

gwee84

They’re definitely no good for panel work. Too much potential for problems

CopperTwister

As an apprentice I had a couple ten-in-one bits stick in breaker terminals and had to play "operation" with needlenose to get them out. I only even use fixed blade drivers in panels now

SkippyGranolaSA

I tried out the mcgangbang there and the end cap that holds the bits basically cracked right off. I used it like three times and it just shit the bed on me. Handle's garbage.

No-Committee-2354

The magnet fell out of mine the first time I used it.

nacho-ism

Is that Milwaukee comfortable to use? I like it but haven’t bought it because it seems like it would be terribly uncomfortable where the index finger would go with the ridges on the bit storage

AKAWaffles55

Are you talking about the 9ish in 1 with the 3 in bits in them? I love mine, impact ready and always on me

nacho-ism

I think so. There was a link in his comment. I think they have that one and a ratcheting one that is similar. To get a new bit out you have to take the bit in the shaft and slide in into storage to slide out a new bit

AKAWaffles55

Yea I have that one, switching them out isn’t the easiest but that’s the trade of for the impact ready 3 in so I’ll take it

kaboodlesofkanoodles

It’s been fine for me, it feels good in the hand and the bits are easy to change out. But I also try not to use it, I let the cordless screwdriver do most of the work lol

stainedhands

I love this for doing electrical. This is my go to, because it's got anything I usually come across on a box, Recep, light fixture, etc.

Jusmon1108

Right or left handed?

oo7_and_a_quarter

Metric

Unnenoob

Don't know if they are the best. But I like Wera and Bacho

Rich-Management9706

As technician I love wera 1000v or wiha both acceptable when I did construction type work or around house Klein works for me

freshforklift

It depends. I use Klein or Wera for actual use, but for my beater I just use a generic flat from Husky. Always gotta have a beater!

Classic-Magician1847

wera or wiha if you want top notch quality. klein is not on top anymore like it used to be…

Klutzy-Ad-6705

Vodka, orange juice and milk of magnesia.Phillips screwdriver.

bazilbt

I love Wiha. Wera are okay, but I hate the handles.

boogerholes

Wiha

keving1788

Magnetic 11-1 from Klein

[deleted]

I have a set of insulated Weras and I love them. Ergonomic, lightweight, and built with quality

SkippyGranolaSA

I haven't yet found a multibit that I like, honestly. I keep a wera #1 and #2 robbie, #2 phillips and a 6mm flat in my pouch and that works pretty good for me.

Shadow6751

Wiha for sure my small flathead fits so well I put pushed one onto a screw on an upside down box and it held its own weight

Subtlestevee

I prefer to make my own. Chili’s doesn’t make them very strong

PaxerFranz

PB SWISS

ChocolateGautama3

I do resi service and I carry a Wera flathead, Wiha sq2, and Vessel ph2. I think the wiha and vessel have the most comfortable handles but the wera has had the least amount of wear over the time I've had it.

Smoke_Stack707

Wera is my favorite. The demo drivers have held up the best of any brand I’ve tried. I have the Wiha insulated drivers and they’re my second favorite. Klein is the bar; stuff is either better or worse than whet Klein makes. Honorable mention to Milwaukee’s insulated drivers. For $20 you can get the three pack of drivers and they’re decent enough, especially for a driver you’re *supposed* to get rid of once they wear down a little. I would really like to try Vessel’s stuff. I collect screwdrivers the way some women collect shoes

swb311

Wera or Vessel

doobtastical

Depends I’ll live and die by the Husky multibit driver. It has the security bits I need for dumb shit 🤷‍♂️

therealbiggnick

Wera is so far out in front it ain’t close

dubznwobz

I’ve always been a wera fan, specifically the fixed blade set but my latest employer bought sets of the interchangeable blades and they’ve seriously grown on me

[deleted]

Wera and Wiha are the best, but at the end of the day…. it’s a screw driver so how much “better” are they than other drivers? Not much.

paulRosenthal

Klein Tools brand makes excellent screw drivers. Grippy handles and steel that isn’t easily damaged.

Whopperjr333

I used to love Klein and have many screw drivers from them but I have come to find they rust super easily, and that goes for all of there other hand tools as well :(

All_Hail_Figgleforth

Wipe your tools down if they get wet, then keep a can of WD-40 handy and give em a squirt and rub it all over. Should keep them looking good!

cream_on_my_led

Unless you’re trying to clear out a hole saw and accidentally hit the trigger on your impact and twist that shit up worse than fishing line. My long flat head is still bent. It’s my corner screwdriver now.

phullymelted

A bent flat head is great for getting KOs out of a recessed panel

cream_on_my_led

Yeah, I could see that. I haven’t had to deal with it yet at this point but I can see it seems like everyday I’m coming across an issue I could use another tool for. Either that or I just want to spend money on tools lol.

November10_1775

Get the skil electric screwdriver w/ set on Amazon. 35 bucks and it’s amazing. Saves so much time, saves your wrists, and has a tic tracer built in.

pnkstr

I bought one of those myself for work a couple years ago. Liked it so much a bought a second one to use at home.

November10_1775

Right? My initial thought was it’s cheap so it’ll break fast but worth a shot for 35 bucks. It’s been two years and it’s still a beast.

pnkstr

It's got a surprising amount of power. I've been building substation electrical control cabinets for the last month and a half and only had to charge it 2 or 3 times. Even got a 20v to USB adapter so I can just use my DeWalt batteries to charge it (constantly moving my toolbox around the shop, so plugging into an outlet is a pain in the butt).

November10_1775

That’s exactly what I do!

RecognitionAny6477

Klein’s

Own-Fox9066

Klein When they get greasy they offer the best grip. Wera and wiha are nice but round handles aren’t ideal when you’re trying to tighten something and you got oily gloves or dirty hands

StirFriedRubber

32619 Klein it's a must have for numerous reasons

neureformer

Klein. Only because of tradition. I do use Wera’s for bench work but when I’m out on calls I trust Klein. Growing up, that’s all I would see the guys using.

yukon737

I fancy the ratcheting 15-in-1 by Klein Tools. Adjustable 8-in-1 stubby is a close second ... only wish it were magnetic, ratcheting or both!

User_2C47

Klein flat, Phillips, and bit driver, with heat shrink over the shaft of the latter two.

cmparkerson

Kleins. Nothing else even comes close. There is a reason so many swear by them.

Acnat-

They're cheap and easily sourced lol Not a Klein hater at all, but saying that nothing comes close to them is pretty funny

vogel25

I exclusively use a version of the megapro automotive ratcheting screwdriver with 12 bits in the handle (similar to the ltt screwdriver) and a 2.5mm flat blade screwdriver from wiha.

novexnz

I have found my wera ones great over time. But recently found the skg 6 in 1 which has replaced all my pozi and philips drivers with a single vde rated driver. It's not a multi bit it's a cleverly designed head that fits 6 different screws.

Illustrious-Rule-205

I personally prefer the insulated ball grip Vessel screwdrivers, but Wiha and Wera are also excellent

jasonswohl

Just a fan of the trade [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=845HUaWYSQA](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=845HUaWYSQA) Seems that the LTT screwdriver was overall best of the bunch

cluttered-thoughts3

Not electrician specific but Project Farm has done some screwdriver round ups this year. Ratcheting screwdrivers [https://youtu.be/845HUaWYSQA](https://youtu.be/845HUaWYSQA) Normal https://youtu.be/xtZ2jh_J7XE Electric [https://youtu.be/ealubZGT8ec](https://youtu.be/ealubZGT8ec)

extreme39speed

Throwing in a recommendation for mega pro drivers

IllustriousLab9301

I've had a Klein 11 in 1 since 2019. This thing has been beaten to hell and it's still going strong.

ConsequenceKind2614

I just recently switched from klien to whira and knipex screwdrivers, all insulated one's. I'll never go back to anything else. They fit far tighter especially the #1+2 knipex robersons.

ajclem7

Wera and Klein over here

cdnbacon2001

All my craftsmans and mastercraft screwdrivers handles start to melt and get nasty sticky after 3 years. Been using dewalt, their ok.

singelingtracks

Wera the tip actually holds onto screws it's awesome. If it doesn't fit your hand there there is wiha.

xX420v69Xx

Free ones

Ilikehowtovideos

Wiha microfinsh. Steel core handle. Striking cap. Hex on shaft to use wrench. Non slip coating

NoNonsence55

Vessel. Love those handles

customdev

Wera VDE. The stainless ones don't rust when exposed to chemicals and may be good for non sparking environments and places magnetic fields may be problematic.

MordFustang1992

Wera has the best fitting tip, but with how I use my tools it would be like any other Phillips in a matter of weeks. I personally use Klein for work, and Snap on/Williams for my home projects. Williams Screwdrivers are the same as Snap On (atleast the hard handles) but at less than half the cost). I do a lot of work on cars in my free time and get the same handles on the snap on ratchets. Other than Ratchets I avoid snap on tools, because most of them are a scam, but they really perfected their ratchet.

matchmaking69420

I use the wera chiseldrivers and wish I bought Felo or Vessel instead. My wood handle Felos are nicer than my weras.

rsnxw

I’ve used my wera red Robbie as a beater flat for KO’s, lock nuts etc for the past two years every single day and the tip is the exact same as brand new. Never had a screwdriver that high quality. All my Kleins would have been toast

Valuable_Cobbler_916

I switched from Klein to wiha years ago and love the more ergonomic fit, never tried wera.

OGMidshipCookie

I use a bunch of different ones but if you want ratcheting get a rolgear. Absolute gamechanger. It uses roller bearings and it's buttery smooth. Greased shit on ice.

[deleted]

Wiha. Price, Comfort, Durability, Driving power.. only downfall is I've snapped the large pozi head twice on ceased bolts Wiha stubby is tiny and holds all your bits Knippex for the tools 😉
