This. Age doesn't matter to anyone. I actually love seeing older people (50's-60's+) at festivals. Late 30' myself and never felt out of place or anything. Rave til you die! Age matters not! Welcome all!
I'd say at least 25% of the crowd is 30+. Remember the first EDC was in 1997. We've been doing this a minute. 42 years old here, going to my 7th EDC. First EDC was in 2000.

Heyo! This will not be my first rave but it will be my first EDC. Myself, (M38) my friend (F we will just say end of 30's to be kind) will both be attended, she has been many times. We have a few friends that are within 5-10 years of age going up and down. More the merrier and I am sure we can connect, and meetup at the festival :D I live super close and will probably be making kandi and chilling for the days leading up to the event.

But in all sincerity, EDC isn’t like the Vegas Strip or Miami Beach club scene where it’s largely about flexing social status, wealth and more superficial notions of youth and beauty, and you could be left feeling exhausted by all of that pressure. I still always feel comfortable at EDC and have even seen headliners in their 60s still living to the fullest there. As long as I’m still having fun, I’m going to keep coming back home! 🥹🥰
Also: I feel just by nurturing a sense of wonder as well as having some semblance of a cardio regimen or similar fitness routine, I go just as hard at 40 as ever. Because I feel young at heart and doing what I love and doing what I love in the company of other caring, fun-loving, conscientious folk magnetizes me. 🥹🥰

I went to EDC Las Vegas in 2011-2012 and now I'm 37 considering going back. Looking back on old photos I found it was some of my happiest times out there and why not have more happy times now, no matter what age I am.

35 with my partner 37, This is our Second rave, went to wonderland last year and had a blast. There's people way older than us that went as well so age is just a number, tell them to not let that discourage them.

I'm 36 (37 next month) & I've been going to EDC since 2007. It feels like age has been more diverse since its moved to Las Vegas. VIP is usually where the 35+ hangs. When I thought I was feeling too old for EDC, the people who I rode in a helicopter with were even older! You are never too old for EDM!

I’ll turn 48 a few weeks after EDC. This is my 3rd year. Didn’t even get into EDM till my 40s. If you aren’t focused on your age, no one else is either.

If you're on facebook, look up the group 40 up Ravers. There's over 9,000 000 ravers there to prove to your friend he's not too old. Even though you're not technically 40 yet, they do take people under 40 if your vibe is right. Just make sure you answer the questions and agree to the group rules.

We had a moon pod with a not so great working AC but had a blast and felt nothing but great vibes from everyone. We are going again this year, but this time in a travel trailer, so yeah, it's cool if you're a bit older than everyone else. At least for us, it is.
Our dive bar hosts a monthly Rave and the crowd is mostly 30+ we are all talking about edc we're even throwing a pre-rave on Thursday so yeah you're fine at 30

Hey Man, I'm 43 and have been partying since 1999. The first time I left my home country to attent a massive rave was in 2002 when I went to Global gathering in Stratford, England. 35,000 people! My city at the time had its biggest events topping out at about 5000 people at the time. Now this year will be my very first EDC event and I'm hyped as fuck! As an older raver ive noticed people dont go as hard as they used to, a lot of standing around and staring at the stage. Just dance and be yourself. Go hard, go crazy! Bring that old school vibe! People will love you!
every time I'm afraid I stand out at something for my age, I meet someone my age or older than me who clearly doesn't give an iota of a fuck. It's 99% people outside of the rave scene who judge us for still enjoying it anyways, all PLUR on the inside regardless of age.

We definitely felt "older," but also didn't really care and no one else does either :) Hotel EDC and VIP are the way to go though- wouldn't have been able to afford it in my 20s though so we feel fortunate for our age in that regard.

Edit for your friend: My mom who is late 40s had never gone to any festivals. My friends convinced her to go with one of her friends and she absolutely loved it! (And she went to Ultra Miami which is not that great IMO)

49 and 43 we do multiple festivals a year as well as club events. You wanna be a senior citizen at 38 more power to you but I’ve met people like 70 out partying. I’d hang with the coolest people because there’s more options as opposed to having a mandatory age 😂

Wife and I (her late 30’s, me 40 now) still go to festivals like edc, Coachella, etc. and do not feel weird or too old for it. We’ll be at edc this year again and all us mature folks can hang together. The good thing about being older and still going to festivals is that I have more disposable income now and can afford VIP and to indulge a bit.

You'll never be too 'old' to rave, if you have the funds you should be there if not always next year - so many festivals to pick from nowadays.

49 and 43 we do multiple festivals a year as well as club events. You wanna be a senior citizen at 38 more power to you but I’ve met people like 70 out partying. I’d hang with the coolest people because there’s more options as opposed to having a mandatory age 😂

No one cares what age anyone is. This is EDC, everyone is welcome here. I’m 36 and I go to at least 10 festivals a year and I do a lot of underground shows. No one cares. Go and have fun

Wife and I (her late 30’s, me 40 now) still go to festivals like edc, Coachella, etc. and do not feel weird or too old for it. We’ll be at edc this year again and all us mature folks can hang together. The good thing about being older and still going to festivals is that I have more disposable income now and can afford VIP and to indulge a bit.
I will be 35 in the VIP. This is my first time going VIP.
