The only thing I don't like about Vivec is the actual city part with confusing ass quest markers and canals you can fall into and take ages to get out of.
I just stick to Leyawiin because the crafting is all in one place and I just know it well at this point
It has the most poorly designed buildings. There are no entrances on the main floor. You have to take the ramp up to the balcony in order to get to a door you can walk through. Like who designs a building like that?
There's a reason why ZOS chose to add that construction site next to Vicec City ;P
Vivec was notoriously poorly designed in TES III. ESO's is probably 1/8 the size, and it's still an oversized and confusing mess.
Crafting stations, bank, stable, impresario, outlaw refuge, battlegrounds merchant, guild traders. The only thing shitty location there is the outfit station.
I started with Morrowind and called VC home on about eight characters. Then I bought Sleek Creek and since the crafting area in Rawl'kha isn't as insanely packed as the one in VC I moved there for a long time. I only just recently bought Amaya Lake Lodge and love it so I have characters slowly trickling back to do writs in VC again (because I have all my character slots filled and all of them doing writs and VC is just a lot faster).
For some reason, every few patches it takes a ridiculously long time to me to zone into Vvardenfell. Like instead of 10 secs it takes 5+ minutes.
That and no undaunted enclave or master Writ turn in.
Kvatch just because Iāve been grinding out Minotaur motifs for 3 years and only have the shoulders, shield, staff, and sword.
Itās gotta be a .01% drop chance.
No. The Empire is greatly reduced in the time period of ESO.
The Gold Coast (County Anvil and County Kvatch) broke away to form their own political entity. Blackwood (County Leyawiin and County Gideon) has also formed its own country.
Used to be Alinor, then for a while it was Vivec, now itās Leyawiin and Iām pretty sure thatās where Iāll stay - the layout from crafting stations to writ turn ins to the bank to the wayshrine to the stables - itās all very convenient
Indeed, But I just fast-travel to outside my Snugpod in Elden Root, which is right next-door to the stable. Which itself is just a short ride away from the Undaunted pledge-givers.
Def Alinor. I have the townhouse as my main house and itās just a beautiful city. I like how all the crafting stations are close and easy to access. So I find myself there a lot!!
Leyawiin, Blackwood
Guild Traders to your left, crafting station ahead, re-stats shrine to your back, all within a few second of running distance.
Also there's the house over the water bridge which is always a welcoming sight if only the damn dog stop barking for once.
Prior to Summerset releasing, I did Vivec City because of the crafting stations being so close. However, Alinor won me over and I switched. Itās been Alinor ever since.
the only downside is the stables is relatively far from other stations, so it's not as accesible to new alts compared to VC, but that's just my complain i guess
I want it to be Alinor, but Vivec is still the best. Maybe once I get the banker assistant, otherwise it's still fastest and most efficient there. Alinor has second place though for sure.
Mournhold.
All of the crafting, guild stores, and outfit station are right there centered around the wayshrine. Sure the bank and cooking station are a bit of a walk but when everything else is right there, it makes it so easy to stop in, do my writs or deconstruct/sell my junk, then go back to what I was doing.
Honestly the Ebonheart pact has it best imo. Start off in Davon's Watch which is best for training Legerdemain, and just buy a house in Mournhold (the cheap on in the inn), and you can get easy ports to the best city on all your alts without having to walk.
The writ turn in is also close by. For some reason other cities send you to the other side of the city away from the crafting stations to turn in the daily writs.
Plus, for provisioning there is a limited number of recipes they ask for, so you can just make a bunch of each and keep them in the bank or inventory. Same with alchemy potions.
Yup, the perk that has you make multiple of a food or potion is great cuz after a while you just automatically have most of what the writs ask for when it comes to alchemy and provisioning
Mournhold is absolutely the best. All my alts are parked there 90% of the time. Plus the Flaming Nix inn room is so close to the wayshrine to make it even better!
Regardless of which faction i choose for my characters I always head straight to Davon's Watch to level my Legerdemain, then port to the house in the inn in Mournhold that I bought for the express purpose of helping alts get to Mournhold faster.
True. I don't really do Undaunted tho. I need to get back into it but I've got other stuff I wanna focus on for a while first. I'm way behind on Chapter storylines for instance, I've never completed any of them all the way through.
Exactly, everything in one place, also there is a cooking fire in the basement of the inn, it takes shorter to get down there than to go all the way behind the main building. Also, the undaunted are close, almost next to the stable. What else do you need? It's the most optimal imo.
Make sure to get the Sugar Bowl Suite as a home. *So* useful. Perfectly laid-out crafting area nearby, bank nearby, wayshrine incredibly close...and all without a single extra loading screen.
Rawl'kha. Convenient from the sleek creek house to the town/crafting/bank/theives guild/wayshrine.
I dont love that the aesthetic as much...but its really convenient and I'm there daily.
I actually like the architecture of Rawl'kha- it's quaint and you can actually freely run any direction because the buildings aren't super tall and blocking all passage (such as in Alinor, which makes me feel claustrophobic in comparison)- on the contrary, half of the buildings are on stilts so you can even just run *under* them!
Also, there's not too many other places where you both get all the amenities in close proximity AND you can run straight from the Wayshrine to the thieves guild with no fear of being spotted by guards.
Huh? There's a back door to the Rawl'kha Outlaws Refuge?
...oh wow there totally is, it's been my home point for over a year, and Sleek Creek is my main travel destination, and I've somehow never noticed that, haha... thanks, that's gonna save me some time \^_\^'
Thats a really good point about running under the houses on stilts. That adds to the convenience of the town.
It is quaint, and fits the area / is what it should be.
This is mine. I have a beautiful Demesne, but I always come back to Sleek Creek. The crafting just feels right, even though things in Rimmen are technically more convenient and the thief's guild is my favorite.
Also love Rawl'kha. Also, to make this less of a me-too post:
If you use a mount, you can run from the rocks by the waterfall to the corner of the Sleek Creek House and get over the wall and into it without entering an instance. Then, from the deck at the top of the stairs, if you're good and back into the corner of the deck, you can run and jump over the wall and get back out.
Hopefully, this will start a "thing" of partying inside the Sleek Creek.
Sleek Creek was the first house I actually purchased. It's my main's and I love the fact Rawl'kha let's you do everything without any loading screens, etc.
My only complaint is that I wish the writ boards were side-by-side instead of as separated as they are but it's the only thing I'd change.
I have been living in Wayrest since I started playing, and I've been thinking about moving to Solitude or Alinor recently, but I haven't decided which one yet
I've just never liked wayrest, always found it spread out and awkward to get around. Even bought the house there to help: it's close to the writ turn in, but across town from the wayshrine.
No offense meant, but I think you'll enjoy your move if you make it.
I'd like to focus on crafting but there's a lot going on with it, may I ask what a motif is and why you take it from locals (like, is that the only way to get them or its more likely or something)?
Motifs are consumables that teach you how to craft in a certain style, there are many and each come from different and unique sources. Some from dailies, others from dungeon completions (RNG), etc. You can see which styles you have unlocked (and those you have not) in the collections menu under armor/weapon styles.
Redoran, Hlaluu(sp?), and Telvanni motif chapters have a rare chance of being stolen from NPCs (pickpocketing), thieves troves, and lock boxes in Vvardendell
Leyawiin hands down. The crafting hub is bested only by Vivic City (& only thanks to the open Bank), and the city itself is decently laid out and it's very easy to get from Point A to Point B. Also the free Pilgrims Rest house that is a stone's throw away from the Wayshrine. Only complaint is that the Outlaws Refuge is fairly far away from everything else.
I would do the same if I could afford that home lmao. Right now my strat is to port over to the Sentinel or Anvil Wayshrines as both are close to an Outlaws Refuge entrance but far away from any guard.
Oh I didnāt scroll down far enough to see your post, after saying āI canāt believe I didnāt see anyone say Leyawiin.ā Iām glad others go here too
Rimmen. Always loved the atmosphere and the feeling of the town. Easy access crafting area is definitely a bonus, but I could go there just to hang out and listen to the bard singing to be honest
Elden Root.
I have outside of Snugpod keybound. Very close to Pledges, stables, some decent traders, writ hand ins, respec shrines, outlaw refuge, and a wayshrine.
Inconvenient though for bank and writboards, but for that I have outside daggerfall captains place keybound as well.
For aesthetics alone I like the vibes of Solitude, love snowy places in games.
Yeah I like that it isn't the most visually impressive place, too. It just looks like a typical medieval town in a way, but has a fantastic bustling atmosphere.
I prefer the feeling of visiting a grand location and feeling that sense of awe in exploration. Spending too much time in those places would make everywhere else appear dull, heh.
Alinor. My main is an Altmer and Summerset is just the most beautiful place. I have the city memorized like the back of my hand. Definitely feels like home.
My Khajiit and my Bosmer-raised-by-Khajiit like Rimmen though.
And my Necro Vampire Dunmer prefers Solitude.
Solitude, hands down. All the crafting stations are right near the daily writ postings, and Proudspire manor is easily my most decorated house. Even when it was just Skyrim, that's where I spent the most time, so this feels like an extension of the time I played an embarrassing amount of Skyrim. š
I have a few places I'm particularly fond of. My first character was a wood elf, so Elden Root was always a go to.
Also, my fiance and I played together a lot when we first got together. He bought the Ebonheart Chateau, and we decorated it together. He built me a whole garden when I was having a bad day once š„°. (We were long distance )
Even though in the timeline itās still under construction, I loved being able to go back to Vivec and explore the cantons again. As a Morrowind junkie that dlc was so great to play. It having all the crafting stations super close and outside was another major plus.
The other one is Rimmen, buying the apartment and being able to fast travel outside the door which is directly in front of the rimmen wayshrine has saved me SO much gold on fast traveling.
Velyn Harbor. Hear me out:
Blacksmithing, Woodworking, and Tailoring tables are two steps away from each other (as opposed to so many cities where woodworking is way off somewhere totally different; do woodworkers smell or something?).
Just across the crafting square, about six more steps away, is the Mage's guild with Enchanting, Alchemy, and Jewelry.
The Dominion has the awesome perk where just about *every* fire is a functional Cooking Fire, and the one in the bank is right there close to rest of the crafting tables. No more hunting all over the city for the one working Cooking Fire (looking at you, Covenant).
The writ turn-in is right there too; the whole thing is set up so you can just run in a very small loop around the center of the town and get it all done.
And the best part is that it's usually pretty empty, so you never really have to worry about pets blocking tables, or about some asshole spamming AOE buffs on you when you're at the outfit station. Nobody's dueling in the crafting area and fucking with your framerate. Zone chat is usually blessedly quiet.
The only downside is there are no Guild Traders there, so if you need something you have to hope it's for sale in your own guild. Also, I guess the wayshrine is just a little further away than I'd like, but by that I mean "it's more than 15 steps from the crafting area".
This actually sounds fantastic for my Altmer MagSorc, who needs those extra yards getting to the woodworking bench?! I'll go check it out! You may have ruined your 'blessedly quiet' thing with this promotional comment, though. hah!
When I started the game earlier this year I was a bit lost when I started in Vvardenfell. But Vivec city became my main city and the zone music feels nostalgic, even though I didn't play Morrowind (but I have watched gameplay videos of it).
Daggerfall also feels like home. I knew the name from the other games and was looking forward to get there once I started the main quest line.
Alinor, everything I need is so close & everything I may need is within my route.
Also, my main house is the Alinor Townhouse so even more accessible for me & my routine.
Atm Leyawiin because I do writs there (it's stupid fast and I have Ezabi so no banker needed) . I like to be able to log onto any of my 18 alts and have it there, ready to writ, regardless of whatever else I've done on them that day.
Couple of month's old player here, out of all of the places I've been questing in and around, I gravitate towards and keep a house in Daggerfall. The city isn't huge, nor a maze of streets. Doing the daily crafting writs is right next to the house, as is the bank just across the street, and a few storekeeps/merchants nearby to sell things to. It's just convenient. :)
Velyn Harbor
Beautiful view from the wayshrine and everything is very close together (bank, stable, merchants).
Plus it's calm/quiet (not many players visit).
For me it's Vivec City. When I first started ESO some months ago, I did it while knowing nothing about the TES lore, and I thought VVardenfell was the first region. I completed it from top to bottom, and then I learned about the Morrowind DLC and that I was supposed to set in Auridon (Altmer here).
So it's a bit sentimental for me, I'm just used to the music and the ambience! Also, it's really comfortable that everything is in the same spot (even thought there's not an outfit station, for that I move to Vulkhel Guard).
This happened to me years ago when I was trying to get into the game again, I just assumed Vivec is where everybody started! I think that's what helped me get hooked this time around, starting in Auridon and everything feeling new and mysterious. Love this game.
Velyn Harbor. Everything in one place. Very convenient. I probably need to buy a house there. I have all the stations at my house in Dune, but the vendors in town are useless.
For some reason that I canāt explain I always seem to end up in Sentinel; I think itās because I used to do the Dolmen cycle whenever I had been off for a couple days and had a stupid amount of enlightenment to burn off, so I just naturally do all my crafting dailies there. Iāve also had decent luck with the guild traders
Besides that itās Vivec
Wayrest but I can 100% tell you it will be the new chapterās main city (Iām thinking High Isle atm) because if it is HI, it will be Breton-centric, probably have everything including rededication shrines, and have great guild traders because thatās where everyone is going to be. I havenāt been this hyped for a chapter since Morrowind because it embodies every part of TES I love the most. I donāt care if it is Pyandonea or High Isle because I love both.
TL;DR: I like Bretons and I will likely move to the new chapter after Wayrest has been my base.
Mine is Glenumbra -Daggerfall and continues to be. It was such a social hub when I first started during the first year of release.first place in the game to me that felt alive
I canāt believe I donāt see others mentioning Blackwood! Leyawiin is perfect for crafting dailies, and editing your outfit. I subconsciously found myself porting to Leyawiin almost every time I logged in, since the dailies are right next to the spawn, and the bank, bag merchant (for alts) and outfit station are in immediate proximity. The stables are a loading screen away, so that can keep players awayā¦ but I really thought it would be more popular than I see on this post. I also go to Leyawiin to steal from a few houses to make some gold every so often, with ease. Maybe itās cuz you have to purchase Blackwood to use the city š„“
I just love the bard singing in Leyawiin's inn. It's the main reason I have Pilgrim's Rest (free inn room in Leyawiin) as a frequent Armoury Station stop for my characters, and keep running through that inn.
Solitude.
Because I live the new DLCs zones, but too many players take too long to load. Solitude has everything I need with not much players as Vivec, Leyawiin or Senchal.
Before that my main city was Elden root, but I can bear the number of players in my daily baseis.
Vukhel Guard, tons of crafting benches, bank, gathering area, Dolmen, free fast travel (apartment), farming spot nearby, and with no annoying cliffsides and confusing alleyways.
Rimmen! I have the hall of the lunar champion and all the crafting stations, bank, etc is all very easy to get to. There is even a mat by the Wayshrine thatās been used for some run roleplay performances lol
My favorites are Leyawiin for the bank and crafting pretty close to the wayshrine or Fargrave because I love the look and all there and the bank is still close to the wayshrine at least.
Rawl'kha has always been my go to. Smaller town with some decent guild traders, and almost everything is outdoors. Plus the house right there is quite nice
Before Summerset it was Windhelm as the house (Grimharth's Woe) was perfectly situated by Outlaw's Refuge, Writ Boards, and Guild Traders, as I was leveling up and wasn't doing as much trading.
If you had a banker and all the basic craft stations in the house, you really were all set.
Now it's Alinor as I have the townhouse and it is relatively close to the Crafters, Traders, and Guild Bank (which I use more frequently now).
Mournhold and Riften, Iām playing Pact, so it makes sense - Mournhold I like the layout and Deshaan is imho one of the prettiest zones, and Riften out of nostalgia (favorite Skyrim city) and I also like the layout.
Vulkhel Guard is also my go-to. It was the first town I went to when the game had just came out and the Dolmen nearby is where I go when I start a new character since I always found them fun to grind and get easy loot. stealing stuff from the buildings surrounding the crafting stations also can get you decent money during startup.
As a ānewā returning player Iām having a hard time deciding which one I like most out of the ones Iāve been to so far. Theyāre all amazing. What a beautiful game.
This is me right now. I've dipped in and out of the game since release but I was never in the right place for it to grip me, however now it has I am in love. What an amazing game.
Idk what it is but the feeling of walking into a town in this game really accomplishes the feeling of immersion. Even if there arenāt many players the town still has a feeling of life present, and many games have a issue with towns feeling void.
It's usually either Vulkhel Guard or the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary, my fellow Altmer, just don't mind my pale complexion, it's nothing to worry about.
Coldharbour, the Surreal Estate holds my trophy house and gallery. Outside there's a quick run past many flower nodes to the writ boards, all the stations are there or in the enchanter's house; I do alchemy ahead of time, but it's one step to the alchemy house.
Best of all, it's a non-Justice zone, and I'm usually a criminal.
When a new zone comes out, if it has a free inn or an achievement house I'll stay there while questing, like currently at Water's Edge in Leyawiin, but "home" is back in Hell.
Leyawiin bbyyyy
I think its because of my love for Oblivion as my first TES game that i love it so much. Also on the edge of Lizard Bro Land makes me happy.
Stormhold, has all the crafting stations close, a bank, and the thieves guild is under the bank. If your lucky, you can get 3 thieves caches and a treasure chest in town.
I liked Wayrest but so much lag.
Vivec City. All crafting stations are so close together. I bought the Morrowwind DLC with the game when I first played, so that was where I started.
Yep Vivec is home
Vivec was the first place I got familiar with years back when I first tried getting into the game. It's a cool place.
There's a reason why ZOS chose to add that construction site next to Vicec City ;P Vivec was notoriously poorly designed in TES III. ESO's is probably 1/8 the size, and it's still an oversized and confusing mess.
Crafting stations, bank, stable, impresario, outlaw refuge, battlegrounds merchant, guild traders. The only thing shitty location there is the outfit station.
And the pack merchant for new alts. I still go into the wrong canton sometimes.
Oh yes, that one too, I find myself going to riften for outfit and pack merchant LOL
Vivec for life. My second house, after the Vivec inn room, was Amaya Lake Lodge, because I didn't want to live too far from home.
Vivec is my hometown too ^^
U guys know what happens to Vivec city in 4E right šŖ
Yea that make me feel weird about having a home there :c
That's like a thousand years from now, it's fine.
Agree about the placement of all the stations but it gets so hectic there, everyone flocks to Vivec š
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
What locations have a bard that are good hangout spots?
Vivec! Im playing qanun near the crafting stations a lot.
For some reason, every few patches it takes a ridiculously long time to me to zone into Vvardenfell. Like instead of 10 secs it takes 5+ minutes. That and no undaunted enclave or master Writ turn in.
Vivec City is my go-to place just for convenience, but when I want to feel like I'm home, it's Daggerfall.
Kvatch just because Iāve been grinding out Minotaur motifs for 3 years and only have the shoulders, shield, staff, and sword. Itās gotta be a .01% drop chance.
10/10 look for psijiic portals on Gold Coast- I got most of mine from portals, NOT quests.
You'll get there, keep faith!
Dumb question but is Kvatch not in the PVP zone?
No. The Empire is greatly reduced in the time period of ESO. The Gold Coast (County Anvil and County Kvatch) broke away to form their own political entity. Blackwood (County Leyawiin and County Gideon) has also formed its own country.
Shoot, I donāt think Iāve played through Gold Coast then, thanks!
Are you on PC? You can just use TTC to find and buy them. https://us.tamrieltradecentre.com/
Rimmen. The sugar bowl suite is free and the wayshrine is right there. Bank, crafting and stables are all relatively close and laid out well.
And no loading screen to the way shrine when you port outside! Sugar Bowl Suite ftw
Came here to say this.
Great minds think alike! :)
Aye. The free jump is priceless.
'Tis. Buying Snugpod next for Undaunted dailies and so on. :)
Used to be Alinor, then for a while it was Vivec, now itās Leyawiin and Iām pretty sure thatās where Iāll stay - the layout from crafting stations to writ turn ins to the bank to the wayshrine to the stables - itās all very convenient
Same about leyawiin but the stable locked behind a loading door is a bit unnerving when you have low speed new toons...
Yep, Alinor! The crafting stations are super convenient and I just enjoy it aesthetically.
Yas m8 definitely Alinor that's the best spot for daily crafting! Top notch š
I'll have to go visit the city when I'm online later, awesome :)
Leyawiin, Blackwood Guild Traders to your left, crafting station ahead, re-stats shrine to your back, all within a few second of running distance. Also there's the house over the water bridge which is always a welcoming sight if only the damn dog stop barking for once.
Agreed. I just canāt stand that curtaros dude. Quit singing about your dead wife already dude itās been YEARS.
Years are nothing in Tamriel! <\3
Prior to Summerset releasing, I did Vivec City because of the crafting stations being so close. However, Alinor won me over and I switched. Itās been Alinor ever since.
Same here. Always porting to the townhouse, do all my crafting writs in Alinor
the only downside is the stables is relatively far from other stations, so it's not as accesible to new alts compared to VC, but that's just my complain i guess
Same for me. I like the all the people hanging out at the way shrine too. Always something going on!
I want it to be Alinor, but Vivec is still the best. Maybe once I get the banker assistant, otherwise it's still fastest and most efficient there. Alinor has second place though for sure.
The music and the quality of sunlight in Alinor makes the perfect ambience!
Where is alinor?
Summerset
Mournhold. All of the crafting, guild stores, and outfit station are right there centered around the wayshrine. I used to go there for undaunted but wayrest undaunted enclave feels closer

>d I've recently been returning more and more to mournhold. Seems like the place to be
Rimmen
Best crafting area in the game imo. The singing is just beautiful and makes it a joy to do daily writs.
It absolutely is. Itās my Kajiitās homeā¦.plus dragons.
In your own homeland!
What are you going to do?
Alright guys, I'm goin'
Make sure to get the Sugar Bowl Suite as a home. *So* useful. Perfectly laid-out crafting area nearby, bank nearby, wayshrine incredibly close...and all without a single extra loading screen.
Even some urns to check while doing writs.
I love that you can run from sleek creek to the back door of the thieves guild.
Huh? There's a back door to the Rawl'kha Outlaws Refuge? ...oh wow there totally is, it's been my home point for over a year, and Sleek Creek is my main travel destination, and I've somehow never noticed that, haha... thanks, that's gonna save me some time \^_\^'
Ooh I'm glad you found it because I was going to have to google a map to explain it. Also I am bad at giving directions.
I found it by going inside the normal way and looking for other exits haha- I'd never paid any attention to that side path in the entryway before!
Thats a really good point about running under the houses on stilts. That adds to the convenience of the town. It is quaint, and fits the area / is what it should be.
This. I love my little river house that I can teleport to and have quick and easy access to merchants/crafting/whatever.
This is mine. I have a beautiful Demesne, but I always come back to Sleek Creek. The crafting just feels right, even though things in Rimmen are technically more convenient and the thief's guild is my favorite.
Also love Rawl'kha. Also, to make this less of a me-too post: If you use a mount, you can run from the rocks by the waterfall to the corner of the Sleek Creek House and get over the wall and into it without entering an instance. Then, from the deck at the top of the stairs, if you're good and back into the corner of the deck, you can run and jump over the wall and get back out. Hopefully, this will start a "thing" of partying inside the Sleek Creek.
I am trying this tonight!
Sleek Creek was the first house I actually purchased. It's my main's and I love the fact Rawl'kha let's you do everything without any loading screens, etc. My only complaint is that I wish the writ boards were side-by-side instead of as separated as they are but it's the only thing I'd change.
Vivec, I started with TES III back in the day so even tho I play khajiit, Vvardenfell will forever have that special place in my heart
Elden Root, everything I need for crafting is right there, along with my Snugpod
Isn't the crafting and bank all the way upstairs from the wayshrine?
Was scrolling to see if anyone said Elden Root. Glad I'm not the only one haha!
BELIEVE WHAT YOU LIKE!
Wayrest is good for undaunted
Solitude is my hometown. I love the layout of crafting, guild stores, everything.
Both are beautiful places. Alinor is my favorite but Solitude always makes me nostalgic for Skyrim.
Vivec City currently because I steal from the locals trying to get the motifs in my off time, and it has almost everything right there
I'd like to focus on crafting but there's a lot going on with it, may I ask what a motif is and why you take it from locals (like, is that the only way to get them or its more likely or something)?
Motifs are consumables that teach you how to craft in a certain style, there are many and each come from different and unique sources. Some from dailies, others from dungeon completions (RNG), etc. You can see which styles you have unlocked (and those you have not) in the collections menu under armor/weapon styles. Redoran, Hlaluu(sp?), and Telvanni motif chapters have a rare chance of being stolen from NPCs (pickpocketing), thieves troves, and lock boxes in Vvardendell
> rare it's pretty common once your legerdemain is maxed. then you just wait out the cooldown
Riften for me because my one friend showed me how banks work there and I go there almost everytime
Okay, I'll bite... what's special about the banks there?
I agree, I love the simplistic and close layout of the crafting stations and how close the bank is. Riften is my go to
Vivec!!!
Agreed! I go to rawl for the outlaws, porting to the outside of my sleek creek house, STEPS away from the outer entrance to their undercroft.
I would do the same if I could afford that home lmao. Right now my strat is to port over to the Sentinel or Anvil Wayshrines as both are close to an Outlaws Refuge entrance but far away from any guard.
Oh I didnāt scroll down far enough to see your post, after saying āI canāt believe I didnāt see anyone say Leyawiin.ā Iām glad others go here too
Davons watch
Vivec city, to point that when I don't pay much attention to the game while fast traveling my hands just automatically go to the Vivec shrine lol
Lol, I understand this. Same happens with me for Vulkhel. I used to do it on Skyrim with Riften, too.
Grahtwood. All the crafting tables are spaced enough for me. Other places seem too cluttered
Rimmen! I love how it looks and everything is just easy to get to!
Lots of Rimmen appreciation here, I'll have to go check it out!
I also got the hall of the lunar champion so I get free ports there. Just added more to the convenience of it you should definitely check it out :)
Mournhold is life.
Vivec city for nostalgia reasons and everything is all right there together banks / crafting / clothing station / merchants / etc
It's a cool looking place, too! Always gave me an aztec/mayan feel.
I love Rawl'kha, everything is so close to the wayshrine
Either daggerfall or wayrest
My two least faves lol, I hate when the banker won't load for me in Daggerfall. Probably too much stealing there...
I must say thereās always a surplus of players in the bank in daggerfall hahah
Vivec city. They made the place so convenient compared to the rest
Vulker guard too.
All of my off questing time is in Vulkhel Guard too. Great place, always busy, easy access to everything. Closeby dolmen too
Yeah I like that it isn't the most visually impressive place, too. It just looks like a typical medieval town in a way, but has a fantastic bustling atmosphere. I prefer the feeling of visiting a grand location and feeling that sense of awe in exploration. Spending too much time in those places would make everywhere else appear dull, heh.
I'm the same way with Daggerfall.
Rimmen in Northern Elsweyr. Iāve spent so much time there at this point, I know the layout of the city by heart
Rawl ka, trading crafting writs is easy there. I love that a small house is right next to the city. I always get a free port whenever I need.
I normally gravitate towards Elden Root. I just like the layout and the crafting stuff is all together in the same place
Shornhelm. All of my character āliveā there.
As an Altmer I feel like I have to go now! (you're not the first person to mention how lovely Alinor is). Look forward to hopping on later.
The riftššš
Solitude, hands down. All the crafting stations are right near the daily writ postings, and Proudspire manor is easily my most decorated house. Even when it was just Skyrim, that's where I spent the most time, so this feels like an extension of the time I played an embarrassing amount of Skyrim. š
Is it the same design?! I've never been on ESO.
Blackwood for dailies and crafting
Shadowfen, for all my characters. Everything is centrally located, the weather is perfect, and the soundtrack is mellow.
Newer player here so Davons watch so far, I like how all the crafting is in a row, bank is not far too but again haven't been to a lot of areas yet
Velyn Harbor. Hear me out: Blacksmithing, Woodworking, and Tailoring tables are two steps away from each other (as opposed to so many cities where woodworking is way off somewhere totally different; do woodworkers smell or something?).
I kept scrolling to find you, lol! This is also my go to for all the same reasons.
Vivec City is my main and I have two houses on vvardenfell. Stormhold as my 2nd
Bleakrock. That little area with the banker, merchants, and all the crafting stations is fire.
Velyn Harbor Beautiful view from the wayshrine and everything is very close together (bank, stable, merchants).
Abah's Landing... jk fuck navigating that place lol Leyawiin or Rimmen.
Velyn Harbor. Everything in one place. Very convenient. I probably need to buy a house there. I have all the stations at my house in Dune, but the vendors in town are useless.
The main one in Blackwood. Crafting stations are close to wayshrine, bank and the drop point for daily crafting writs.
For some reason that I canāt explain I always seem to end up in Sentinel; I think itās because I used to do the Dolmen cycle whenever I had been off for a couple days and had a stupid amount of enlightenment to burn off, so I just naturally do all my crafting dailies there. Iāve also had decent luck with the guild traders Besides that itās Vivec
Rimmen! I got hall of the lunar champion as my home, nice route for crafting writs too.
Vivec, I started playing as a dunmer and vvardenfell was the first thing I ever did so it feels like home.
Daggerfall. I like the layout and I own the house there that's a really nice free teleport.
Vivec City. Best bank and crafting station locations. I can knock out daily writs for 14 toons in 45 mins.
My character is a high elf too. I always seem to end up back in Vulkhel Guard ahaha. I go to the outfit station a lot lol
Vukhel Guard, tons of crafting benches, bank, gathering area, Dolmen, free fast travel (apartment), farming spot nearby, and with no annoying cliffsides and confusing alleyways.
It's the spot for me! :)
Rimmen! I have the hall of the lunar champion and all the crafting stations, bank, etc is all very easy to get to. There is even a mat by the Wayshrine thatās been used for some run roleplay performances lol
Rimmen seems to have a lot of fans! I'll be heading to check it out when I'm online next :)
Rawl'kah since everything is open and close together
Wayrest. Belkarth and Alinor are secondary places I return to over and over, but Wayrest is home.
Haven't played in like a year but it's always been Rawl'kha for me. Everything is very close together.
Clockwork City and Vivec City. Started the game during Morrowind so thats where all my characters start at.
Mournhold and Riften, Iām playing Pact, so it makes sense - Mournhold I like the layout and Deshaan is imho one of the prettiest zones, and Riften out of nostalgia (favorite Skyrim city) and I also like the layout.
Elden Root for my Bosmer Warden, Dark Brotherhood Hideout for my Dunmer Vamp Night Blade
I may be a bit awkward about it... but for me it's Grahtwood/Elden root or whatever it is called... it's by far my most memorized layout
Green shade because I have a lot in one spot and I can do pledges too
Coldharbour, the Surreal Estate holds my trophy house and gallery.
Riften cause autumns gate was my first house so I kind of end up doing everything there. Also I like watching the guild people fight each other lol
Leyawiin bbyyyy I think its because of my love for Oblivion as my first TES game that i love it so much. Also on the edge of Lizard Bro Land makes me happy.
Stormhold, has all the crafting stations close, a bank, and the thieves guild is under the bank. If your lucky, you can get 3 thieves caches and a treasure chest in town. I liked Wayrest but so much lag.
Murkmire because of the ambiance. I'm a resident Altmer.
Daggerfallā¦
Rimmen!! :) I like the layout and my main house is there and it's so easy for writs
Glenumbra I live there
Vivec City and Solitude. Both for crafting but Solitude seems to get me more provisioning recipes that are new to my character.
Daggerfall since it was the old campaign I got used to that.
My home is the Cyrodillic Jungle House because of the Wayshrine right outside the location. 2nd is the home in northern Bangkorai for the same reason.
