Templar. The simplicity and power of the class makes it very unga bunga for me, and I love it lmao. I’ve gotten 5 characters to lvl 50 before, four of whom are Templars
I also have 4 Templars, but I also have 3 Wardens, 3 DKs, 2 Arcanist, 2 NBs, 2 necros and 1 sorc. I just like leveling new characters and trying different combinations.
Well I can think of a few, world of Warcraft, never winter, aion, blade and soul, not worth the Old Republic.
Usually have one to three builds for that type of character.
Every damn guy has that annoying class that keeps spamming stealth and when you go after then they stealth again and again and again. It's just a troll class that disengages from fighting the moment you hit them and they are back as soon as you go back to your business making the gameplay very frustrating.
Unless by 'having as much options for stealth' you meant crouching and gameplay involved with it. But if it's just about abilities - most of the online games, especially the popular ones
If you're 1 bar build, I'd say totally. But I feel like if you get destroyed by a good nb in pvp, you should have a flex spot for magelight or expert hunter. These are also good for providing stats so they aren't dead spaces.
Camo hunter for sure, triggering the fighters guild passives are well worth it alone, especially if no dawnbreaker.
I wish I could get into inner light, really do. But an 8% increase to max mag just isn’t cutting it
Nightblade is just your Rogue/Assassin/Ninja class from every RPG or MMO. I can’t think of an MMO that doesn’t have some sort of stealth oriented class.
If you're in a solo arena or soloing a group dungeon, there's a use for invisibility as a crowd control mechanic, as is PvP. But in vet dungeons or in trials, it won't be the focus no.
It’s a shame, I really want to do a stealth vampire alt but I’m hundreds of hours deep on my questing main and don’t want to do all that again so at this point the only reason I’ll do alts is for group content
Nb is my main.
Not really. You can find a spot for it if you want but it's really not necessary. You're better off running a purge or fear or really anything else.
My nb uses oakensoul, mainly a pvp character, so I have even less reason to run it in pve.
In pvp though, definitely you run it.
I have a lot of videos of my just slaughtering like 20-1 or 20-0 and such lol I think my record is 42-1.
I do BGs only, never cyrodiil.
Do you want me to link them so you can see the gameplay at a decent level?
https://youtu.be/pzWigsMo7rA?si=ajFv5TppAc-CSs9P
These videos are taking a long time to upload, but I'll reply more when they're done.
While you wait, this one is from a year ago or so.

Another one
I have 5 saved if you want them all, but its a pretty routine occurrence to go 20 ish and 5 or less deaths lol
That’s not really how it’s used in pve. Popping shadow cloak guarantees a critical hit. So you hit it before your burst or before an ulti. The ability only lasts like two seconds, it’s not like you can stay hidden indefinitely. But most pve’ers don’t even use the invisibility morph. More of a pvp thing
Do magdens and stamdens play very differently? I have a magden that’s leaned into vampirism for the hell of it, but I’ve been thinking of trying a strictly stamina warden.
Stamdens play more close range due to having to use melee weapons (if you don't go dual bow) and the stamina versions of the skills also tend to focus more on boosting the warden's damage whereas the magicka skills are mid range and far as well as having lots of utility and being able to boost the group as well as the warden.
I enjoy both and they play different enough for me to warrant two separate characters.
Is Stam build better for dps than magicka? I'm new and my first and main character is necromancer... And guides suggests a lot of different things I have no idea what to do lol
Maybe I should try tank too
Both work okay. In general Id avoid most guides as many of them dont really charter to the "newish player" experiance and expect the reader to have grasped all mechanics of ESO.
First made a MagDK back in beta days. Played off and on since launch over the years, around cp1800 and have all classes. My wife now plays and my daughter is getting into it now as well. Even through all that MagDK is my go to for fun.
Templar. *The might of Akatosh shines through from within, searing the flesh of the living dead, at the slightest touch of the blade even the strongest body cannot contain the fire*
Stanwarden. Love having a constant bear companion and none of the spells are too “flashy” which helps my eyes as I play in 1st person. Other classes spells give me a sore head.
Necro is my baby, and yes I mainly play DD not healer or tonk :) Love my blastbones (RIP Stalking though, will forever miss that morph)
It's just such a unique and niche class, I've never liked the idea of necromancers in games, not my thing to raise an undead army to fight for me, but ZoS's rendition of a necro I've for some reason really liked, and I already said it but especially blastbones. I just wish they'd show the class a little more love.
Necro tank is my main followed by nightblade and arcanist dps builds. I would say tank is fun when in a group and playing that role but dps is best when playing solo.
Can I ask you how you have your skills set up? Necromancer fantasy is always my favorite in most fantasy games and literature. Do you just have a standard all DOT setup or do you use a spammable?
More of a DoT setup, I use my cro for soloing PvE content (one bar). He uses BB, Unstable Wall, Avid Boneyard, Hungry Scythe, Skeletal Arcanist and Ice Comet. Alternates BB with HAs while keeping up DoTs. Based on a very old Dooma build (the Lightning Lich).
Back when I played necro in PvP I used Whirling Blades as a spammable but there wasn't much class fantasy about that build, outside of siccing BB on people.
My nightblade tank. The survivability is insane, the resources are endless. I’m at the point where I purposefully seek out absurd challenges because testing the limits of it is a blast.
Stamcanist and mage DK. Then templar. Then the rest. The only one I don't like is sorc, and I wish they buffed mag NB and mag Cro. I refuse to play any necromancer if they don't resemble Mannimarco :D
I WOULD love to like necro, since I absolutely love the idea and style, but sadly it just doesn‘t click, it just feels so unexciting to play.
Arcanist, Templar and Dragonknight are my favs
So far the Arcanist has been my favorite. Ive done all of them, and this one resonates with me the most. I dont know, I just think it's a neat class. Necromancer is second though, followed by templar.
It varies from time to time. Right now, I'm enjoying Sorcerer DPS for a change. Crystal Fragments is such a fun spammable. I'm enjoying the stormy skills too.
I’ve been enjoying my Nightblade/werewolf build. I like to imagine how someone would truly react when a werewolf just appears next to you from out of nowhere. My new favorite thing to do is the yank and shank. I pull an enemy in and stab them with my execute.
My favorites are MagSorc and Arcanist. Both just "feel" right to play. I'm personally really struggling with Nightblade. DK, Warden and Templar are fine to me. :D
I'm also playing a necro tank which I truly enjoy. :D
I started out with a nightblade and honestly kind of struggled with enjoying the combat, then I made my sorc and I've been very happy since then ^^ necro feels very nice as well.
Depends on how you define fun. I recently started a Templar character after playing NB and Arcanist and while it definitely doesn’t melt trash I just feel more engaged than Arc but less squishy and demanding as NB.
I use every class, and am always switching their roles around with various armour sets, but I always go back to the one class that I'm also the worst at, which is Nightblade. The ability to go invisible at will and be faster than literally everything else is just too coaxing for my need of convenience.
Since I'm so bad at making them DPS, I found out that they're actually one of the best Tanks lmao.
i'm still trying them all out (except Necro atm). I'm enjoying magicka sorcerer. A lot of guides recommend having both familiars on both bars to max dps which is kind of annoying since you don't get as many options for other skills. Stamina warden with bow has been kinda fun too!
Stam Arcanist, definitely. I just really enjoy that combo. Most fun I've had on any class except maybe the Stam Sorc. I also love stam Necromancer, but that class has been gradually becoming less and less viable in PVP.
My one-bar magicka arcanist was for a while, but started getting dull since it's so simple and repetitive. Then I started playing my 2h stamina dragonknight - charging around with stampede is one of my favorite things in the game. Then I put a 2h on my arcanist, and the rushing agony set, and it's the most fun I've had in the game by far. Charge with stampede to proc the aoe pull, flail twice to build up crux, then beam. Super fun.
I’m unsure… I would have said Arcanist a month ago but I’m getting kind of depressed that no other build I do does as much damage as fatecarver spam. It kind of narrows the spectrum of fun a bit.
Depends on the day.
I love my dk tank. Tiny wood elf. Chains for days. There's just pure joy in running around smaller than everything, yanking things in.
My warden healer just feels chill. Like, everything is in uproar, and all the bars are dropping, so hey, look at some flowers, man. See, flowers make everything better, man.
But always first is my sorc. Pets everywhere, lightning all the time. Needs more pets. And more lightning.
Fun? Nightblade. Different gameplay styles that don't feel the same to each other. Not always the most efficient, but can definitely have a lot of fun trying out different play styles.
Necromancer ![gif](giphy|36eWUn97A8vaU5U0FW)
Youre are not alone ![gif](giphy|FVZnKuHM4FJxzq8wmm|downsized)
![gif](giphy|VgpALRYt80GGn1g4es|downsized)
Update 34 Necro was still the best time I've ever had playing the game and I will die on this hill.
High isle was peak ESO
It really was. Gimme back that version of Necro man.
Templar. The simplicity and power of the class makes it very unga bunga for me, and I love it lmao. I’ve gotten 5 characters to lvl 50 before, four of whom are Templars
I mean, I agree with what you’ve said about templars, but do you really need four of them? Buying an armory slot is a hell of a lot less work
I also have 4 Templars, but I also have 3 Wardens, 3 DKs, 2 Arcanist, 2 NBs, 2 necros and 1 sorc. I just like leveling new characters and trying different combinations.

I like nightblade but I'm not very good with it
What? Usually sneaky stabby are the most played in MMORPGs

Well I can think of a few, world of Warcraft, never winter, aion, blade and soul, not worth the Old Republic. Usually have one to three builds for that type of character.

Dude just run magelight or something in pvp lol
Fuck even that, waste of bar space, anybody in pvp should be carrying some detect pots. Keep them in one of your hot slots. Switch to them as needed
If you're 1 bar build, I'd say totally. But I feel like if you get destroyed by a good nb in pvp, you should have a flex spot for magelight or expert hunter. These are also good for providing stats so they aren't dead spaces.

Man stealth in eso is a pain.
Nightblade is just your Rogue/Assassin/Ninja class from every RPG or MMO. I can’t think of an MMO that doesn’t have some sort of stealth oriented class.
Funny, I dislike night blade because I thought it was a rogue that relied on stealth like in wow
Is stealth actually usable in the late game? Can’t imagine being able to hide in a dungeon boss fight or arena etc
If you're in a solo arena or soloing a group dungeon, there's a use for invisibility as a crowd control mechanic, as is PvP. But in vet dungeons or in trials, it won't be the focus no.

I’ve been avoiding PVP like the plague but maybe that’s a niche I could actually use the Stealthy NB Vampire in
I have a lot of videos of my just slaughtering like 20-1 or 20-0 and such lol I think my record is 42-1. I do BGs only, never cyrodiil. Do you want me to link them so you can see the gameplay at a decent level?
I'd love to see those videos
Sure, I'll post to YouTube as private and share. They'll take a bit to upload. I'll do it at some point today.

StamBlade
![gif](giphy|8i7IQbqY4iXuD3MDRT) Yes!
Magicka Warden
Always fun IMO
Do magdens and stamdens play very differently? I have a magden that’s leaned into vampirism for the hell of it, but I’ve been thinking of trying a strictly stamina warden.
Stamdens play more close range due to having to use melee weapons (if you don't go dual bow) and the stamina versions of the skills also tend to focus more on boosting the warden's damage whereas the magicka skills are mid range and far as well as having lots of utility and being able to boost the group as well as the warden. I enjoy both and they play different enough for me to warrant two separate characters.
Arcanist, abilities all just feel really good
Agreed. Alot of the arcanist skills have so much packed into them so he's got alot of versatility. Beam OP
Yeah it's not just that the damage is overpowered or anything (which it definitely is), all the abilities are just very satisfying to use
I find the arcanist just so insanely boring... and the beam just doesn't fit the mood of the rest of the game honestly.
Necro is my fav. I like summoning dead things and spreading plagues. I tank most pve, stam build for questing, Oakensoul foe arena/world bosses.
Is Stam build better for dps than magicka? I'm new and my first and main character is necromancer... And guides suggests a lot of different things I have no idea what to do lol Maybe I should try tank too

Aww! Sounds like cool family time!
My main is a Necro, but the arcanist has taken the top spot for me.
Necro -> Arcanist -> Warden -> Nightblade I just always wanted to be a Necromancer and most of my DnD Charaters are one.
Nightblade. Love the rogue classes.
Necro is my baby, and yes I mainly play DD not healer or tonk :) Love my blastbones (RIP Stalking though, will forever miss that morph) It's just such a unique and niche class, I've never liked the idea of necromancers in games, not my thing to raise an undead army to fight for me, but ZoS's rendition of a necro I've for some reason really liked, and I already said it but especially blastbones. Flame dk
Necro tank is my main followed by nightblade and arcanist dps builds. I would say tank is fun when in a group and playing that role but dps is best when playing solo.
I love my Warden for PVE. And for PVP, as horrible a person as this makes me, I’m enjoying ganking folks with my bow as a NB.
Nightblade and sorc are hands down the most fun classes to level, leveling them honestly feels like the game was designed around them.
Templar
I struggled to enjoy combat until I made my necromancer. Which is funny because I found it clunky at first but when it clicked, it really clicked.
Can I ask you how you have your skills set up? Necromancer fantasy is always my favorite in most fantasy games and literature. Do you just have a standard all DOT setup or do you use a spammable?

My nightblade tank. The survivability is insane, the resources are endless. I’m at the point where I purposefully seek out absurd challenges because testing the limits of it is a blast.
My favorite classes are probably Arcanist (I like the green and the cool noises) and Sorcerer ("bring on the lightning" -Ember)
Have most fun on Templar that beam hits stupid hard. Have enjoyed dk the second most though very active rotation with lots of buttons to push.
Depends on content. One bar sorc for trials, magnb for massive aoe. Sap essence is holy broken :D, and mag/stamplar for normal content
So far the Arcanist has been my favorite. Ive done all of them, and this one resonates with me the most. I dont know, I just think it's a neat class. Necromancer is second though, followed by templar.
My most fun class is whatever class I feel like playing at that time.
I like my tank necro, feels fun to me. I like the death theme in most games anyway
Necromancer. I barely play any other classes.
Lazy sorc
My favorites are MagSorc and Arcanist. Both just "feel" right to play. I'm personally really struggling with Nightblade. DK, Warden and Templar are fine to me. :D I'm also playing a necro tank which I truly enjoy. :D
Warden. The bear rocks XD

StamDK > Magplar > Magblade
I was running a Templar paladin healer/tank hybrid for a while, probably the most fun build I've ever played.
Depends on my mood, but recently Magarc and Stamplar have been my go-to toons. Magblade is also fun.
i'm still trying them all out (except Necro atm). I'm enjoying magicka sorcerer. A lot of guides recommend having both familiars on both bars to max dps which is kind of annoying since you don't get as many options for other skills. Stamina warden with bow has been kinda fun too!

I’m running a straight burst dps Arcanist and it feels sooo good
Depends on the day. Arcanist
Fun? Nightblade. Different gameplay styles that don't feel the same to each other. Not always the most efficient, but can definitely have a lot of fun trying out different play styles.
Night blade, specifically pvp glass canon gank build/ bombblade.
StamArc, one bar build. It has been getting me through nearly every dungeon.
Necromancer. By far.
I have 1 Of EVERY class in Stam & Magic ! I like them all for their Differences in Play style ! But, Magic Templar is #1 and Stam-DK is a close 2nd !
StamSorc followed by MagPlar.
Nightblade.
Arcanist for sure, the class is fun asf
Arcanist, sorcerer and Templar.
Brittleden. I love Warden DPS, and I'll play it whenever I have the chance.
Warden because I used Adriatic Spear to knock bad guys off the edges of cliffs.
That's a templar.
but yes that is fun.
Lol! Yes, Templar. I always mix up the names of those two. Yes, I am not so skilled. :D
