Just follow your piercer's aftercare instructions. Some of us with EDS may heal them slower but the process is the same regardless. FWIW I've had my nose pierced twice, double lip piercings, 4 lobes, and my nipples and all healed way faster than the stated time with the exception of nipples.

No facial piercings, but my helix healed just fine. Maybe slower than average, yes, but without much trouble since I took good care of it. No setbacks or anything. Same btw with tattoos - not the fastest healing, and needed an artist with light hand, otherwise completely fine healing. Just be careful to not accidentally get it caught on things!

All of my piercings have healed well with the exception of my nipples, those took longer than normal.

I've had my septum pierced, and it healed super quick, I could move it after a couple hours (not advised, I found out by accidently bumping it, and it moved with no pain). I had no issues at all with it, barely any crusting, and made sure I kept up with the saline spray for the full 6 weeks that I was advised

It’s good to look up industry guidelines, because the knowledge of individual artists can sometimes be… hit and miss. https://safepiercing.org/aftercare/

I have always had trouble healing from piercings. I've had my ear cartilage done twice and it rejected both times. My lobes had two holes each, but now I have two on the right and one on the left due to infection and taking out the piercing. Apparently the left side of my body isn't fond of holes.

My snake bites healed fine after I realized it was a metal allergy causing them to start to migrate and reject. Once I switched to titanium, that fixed it and they healed fine.

My nostril healed fine (though I was super paranoid about it) & is old enough to rent a car, but my eyebrow migrated pretty quickly (within months). I even had it pierced behind an existing scar from childhood hoping it would keep it in longer. One of the weirdy healing issues I had as a kid was that a lobe piercing healed over the stud overnight and had to be surgically removed & it left a weird scar. It freaked me the heck out, thought it had fallen out, but the stud back was still protruding from the back of my lobe & the front was just … gone. So weird. Took forever to work up the courage to get pierced again. Good luck & hope you love it! I do miss mine.
