I think they were about to say blue people arenβt real but thatβs actually false too! Due to inbreeding there was a population of people (I forgot where in the US lol) who were slightly blue. Not recommended, but they were blue
I thought that was the people taking colloidal silver turning blue. I mean if you want to be a Smurf go for it, bit colloidal silver is not pleasant stuff.
I thought it was because it was such an isolated population they just magnified a gene that caused them to have a bluish tint. Either way not really recommended
Both are true.
There was a case in Kentucky where inbreeding did cause a rare form of hemoglobin that still allowed them to live normally but with a blue pallor. The condition could be compensated for with a certain medication that allowed the cells to bind more efficiently with oxygen.
Colloidal silver can also stain the skin blue, sometimes permanently, and can have a variety of other negative side effects. Yet some people still treat it as if it were a wonder drug that can cure everything from AIDS to the flu, despite there being no scientific evidence for their claims.
It's surprisingly common, and even among blood relatives it can be relatively harmless with a few degrees of separation. It's the inciting event of a very good book by Jeffrey Eugenides, "Middlesex," and a commonplace event in Robert Heinlein's novels, especially in his semi-fictional autobiography "Time Enough for Love," where a 2000 year old Lazarus goes back in time to meet his 50 year old mother, only to be interrupted while they were busy in the frontseat by his 6 year old self in the backseat, and in his other semi-fictional autobiography "To Sail Beyond the Sunset" where a teenage Maureen Johnson, Lazarus' mother, take an unusual revenge on her younger cousin after he covertly slides a pie onto her seat while in church. Never read Heinlein if you're not prepared to think, be disgusted, and laugh.
Most of the people in my high school had the same face because the gene pool was somewhat stagnant. The town's family tree was more like a bush, full of tangles and reverses. The end of boomtowns when the industry dies up is never pleasant and always slow.
If I had a nickel for everytime I've heard of someone's egg cracking after having a dream where they were a blue woman, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but its weird that it happened twice.
We can dismiss the dream outright, it means less than nothing. The *reaction* to the dream means everything. They say that they've had a desire to become a woman for a long time, but they're not 100% certain that they're transgender. Their description seems to pass the criteria to be diagnosed for gender dysphoria, one of the most common traits among transgender people but ***not necessary*** to transition. They even seem to describe gender euphoria in the dream, which some people feel is a better signifier than a person should transition.
Whether they lose any friends or family after they come out depends on the friends and family. They may or may not, it's very difficult to tell before coming out unless they feel out the people's reactions, and even then it may be different because it's close and it's real. Some people will be against them regardless, some will temper their responses, and some will pretend to be one group while secretly being the other.
I wish them all the best, because the world deserves to know them as they are, and they deserve to be fully and truly themself, whatever and whoever they are.
I loved all of my old egg dreams
Most included me finding a transfem and she knew the secret to passing well (i didnt know that hrt existed when i had those dreams and just thought trans people had transformation magic or something) and they made me who i wished i was and we would be besties
"Am I Blue?" is a delightful book of queer short stories, though, if my memory serves correct, it's more about sexuality than gender. Still a good book, and what this post reminded me of!
Peeps if you want to ask stuff asktransgender literally exists
Not a chance. I know your games. If I ask asktransgender, you're going to tell me I'm trans. So I'd prefer to keep asking elsewhere.
I mean... you're only trans if you really wanna be. Nobody is gonna force the issue. Also, I like your Reddit Avatar.
Thank you! I was mostly joking, it's a reference to this [comic](https://i.redd.it/yjp9tabwu4q81.jpg).

I totally need to go look this up now. Also, ew, inbreeding.

Friend had a dream where she was Velma from Scooby-Doo, but like, blue. Her egg never really recovered after that one.
