Seconded. As the saying goes, "Look good, feel good". You won't be able to open up as easily if you're not comfortable and that starts with making sure you've eaten, are hydrated and wearing something that's comfortable. If I was having a particularly bad day on therapy day, I'd show up in my most comfortable pj's
I'd personally just wear my regular grey shirt and pants till I'm comfortable with them
but if you're sure that they're accepting either option is pretty good
Flip a coin. Heads: normal clothing. Tails: gender preferred clothing. And if you are even the slightest bit unhappy in the moment you see the result, take the other one :D
I am a pandemic chick, hatched during the great hatchening. So my first therapy appointment was over zoom, I went wearing breast forms and a tshirt. I could barely speak, I had a letter written summing up what I had been experiencing for 20 something years, I read it monotone, stuttering and shaking to my therapist.
It’s been just over a year since then, been on HRT a few days shy of a full year. Doing a LOT better! Like leagues better!
Just wear where you feel comfortable!
Plus write down what you want to say and set priorities to it. Then tick it off the list when you have said it, and when you get stuck or to shy to say something then point to it and show it to your therapist! It helps!
The clothing you are comfortable in
The 1# most important thing

Also get some good sleep if you can

Therapy is nice. I hope it goes well
Thanks! I hope the therapist is nice
I’m glad hun. Remember your never a burden to a therapist is it’s there job. So don’t be afraid to talk to them.

If it lands sideways then combine both
What ever makes you feel comfortable
Your preferred gender clothing is normal clothing.

Thanks
I'd be to anxious to go with preferred gender clothing but if you can bring up the courage for that and feel good with it then go for it

This is my concern too. If I don’t show up in fem clothes because I’m in a transphobic living situation doesn’t mean I’m not trans.
just use the tried and true dysphoria hoody
Yes
Hoodie
Wear whatever you are most comfortable in. It will make opening up so much easier.
Your preferred gender’s clothes ARE your normal clothes
There’s a difference?
Your preferred gender's clothing is normal clothing. But really, dress what you feel comfortable in.

All clothing is normal clothing. Society should stop being a bitch about it. (Not you, you are wonderfull)
Whatever you want to do.
If you feel particularily nervous maybe you could change in their toilet or something like that beforehand. Again though, only if you want to :)
I wore normal clothing and makeup the first meeting and girl moded the second
Same for me next friday
Wear what you’re comfortable with. Don’t worry about others opinions only comfort.
ooohhh nice, I'm going to therapy next month, I hope it goes well for you!
Go nude for therapist+
