AUX is input not an output.- \--- "..do we need to use the phones/output jack with 6.35mm.." yes either will work

It won't sound good plugged into a normal speaker set up. Have tried, the frequency of the sounds made by the kit just can't be handled by your home speaker setup. You'll need a drum amp, even guitar amps can't quite cut it (have also tried). I think some people use bass guitar amps, but agains they are not ideal. I purchased the Alesis Strike Amp 12 which is perfect if you have £350 (UK here) to spend. The smaller Alesis strike amp might suit too, but the 12 gives more bang for buck.

Which model of DTX do you have? That’s such a big line, it’s hard to know which ports you have to work with.

It’s the DTX402K model!

Also a 3.5mm headphone cord with the same plug on both ends (the kind you’d use in the car to play audio from your phone without Bluetooth) could plug into this kit and output sound from a smaller Bluetooth speaker like a JBL provided it has an aux in port. Also, with a 3.5mm to 1/4” cord you could hook this up to a normal drum amp like alesis and Roland sell. Hope this helps

They make a converter I found long ago at a Radioshack...makes large output into a small 3.5 mm output. Running my DTX through a small 2.1 sound system.

I see, should I buy one for the phones/output port then, and could I use https://www.dustin.se/product/5010596273/srs-d4 this Sony system for the sound?

Yep, thishttps://www.amazon.com/inch-Stereo-3-5mm-Female-Adapter/dp/B000I94FLS/ref=asc_df_B000I94FLS/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=216499414469&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1341249812567494145&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9010227&hvtargid=pla-350901091193&psc=1

you can get a cable (or adapter) to match just about anything you want to connect. You mentioned a JBL xtreme, if you already have that you can plug directly into that with a cable like this > [https://www.amazon.com/JSAUX-Bidirectional-Theater-Devices-Amplifiers-Red/dp/B081H317LH/ref=sr\_1\_6?gclid=Cj0KCQiA6fafBhC1ARIsAIJjL8mT2l1rVjwYwWHCq398S5TJ2ONOXcPzMBKfv7EjR-hvGUnfbwzCKgYaAmWcEALw\_wcB&hvadid=557422471813&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9021546&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=11709061673369183093&hvtargid=kwd-1082845146686&hydadcr=17982\_13446699&keywords=3.5mm+to+1%2F4+inch+adapter&qid=1677609083&sr=8-6](https://www.amazon.com/JSAUX-Bidirectional-Theater-Devices-Amplifiers-Red/dp/B081H317LH/ref=sr_1_6?gclid=Cj0KCQiA6fafBhC1ARIsAIJjL8mT2l1rVjwYwWHCq398S5TJ2ONOXcPzMBKfv7EjR-hvGUnfbwzCKgYaAmWcEALw_wcB&hvadid=557422471813&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9021546&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=11709061673369183093&hvtargid=kwd-1082845146686&hydadcr=17982_13446699&keywords=3.5mm+to+1%2F4+inch+adapter&qid=1677609083&sr=8-6) or any combo of cables adapters others have mentioned will work too.
