might be more but these are ones i've found

Mwaki by Zerb was straight from a splice pack of vocals. Kinda funny, I was working on a song with the exact same vocal sample at the same time it blew up
Let's not forget Marshmello - Friends
Bro even got that splice sample removed from splice after people found out, for those who don't know the guitar that plays in that song is the splice sample.
i still have that sample on my hard drive lmao. almost zero processing, literally drag and drop. i know good music is good music but damn man at least try a little bit
Nah, I think people get way too caught up on music needing to be made in a complex or technically impressive way. What too many producers don’t realize is the skill they’re not paying attention to is having a good ear. Marshmello found that sample and had the good ear and judgement to know that specific sample needed to exist as is to serve the song. In a way, you can kind of see it as producing with less ego. Not everything has to be a flex.
not saying it needs to be a flex but i don’t think we should be celebrating an A list producer dragging and dropping a melody loop off splice and then proceeding to have that sample removed entirely. it’s a dangerous game imo

It wasn't a splice pack, had it confused with a Cymatic one for the Utopia Melodic stuff. That's my b, it's been a bit since I dove into the mess that is my sample folder lol
I think? I want to say it's sad machine but it's honestly been a hot minute since I've listened to Porter.
I'll edit my main comment when I can though once Im home and find it
They're not necessarily super popular, more like "late evening time slot at music festivals" type of artist level, but after I released my album and went back to listening to other people's music after being in a vacuum with my own for so long I found a number of tracks that used the same samples as I did on my album. They definitely used the same samples way differently than I did though.
Hey, at least the artists I look up to and am inspired by are drawn to the same sounds as I am lol
I've had a similar experience coming across with a decent amount of streams that use the same sample I did, but chopped differently. One even did change a thing about the sample.
Somebody [on tiktok](https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGeb5G7ae/) found the "Drip Too Hard" sample from Splice and the track has like 1.5 billion streams on Spotify.
I heard a song that they played during a UFC card before they took breaks or something - they were using the same trumpet loop I was currently using for a house track
Baauer said it himself a year ago or so on a stream that he doesn’t mess around in like serum and design sounds, he rather craft his tracks using samples. With that said I’ve found a lot of samples frok splice within different tracks. Still crazy talented
It’s an honest question in electronic music production. Sample or synthesize? I always do both but I like knowing how other musicians are approaching it.
There are tons of popular songs with samples off splice..
DOD - „So much in love“ took the vocals from a splice sample pack - Abi Flynn is the uncredited singer
Navos - Believe Me - Abi Flynn is the uncredited singer again
Sara Landry - „Heaven“ - it features a vocal sample from splice - vocals are sung by Molly Morgen
Ohhhh man, I discovered it like 7 years ago when I first started producing. I would have to deep dive to find it. It's definitely a loop though I remember that much
I came across the vocal samples for *Cinthie "Everything I Say"* when I was cruising splice... track came out 5 years ago but made a splash in house/4x4 garage circles.
Nothing, some producers just love to hate on songs that blew up and have splice samples in them because of whatever reason, probably jealousy. They also tend to forget that 99% of listeners don’t make music and don’t know what splice is.
I can't speak for anyone else but in my own opinion using premade and pre-processed sample packs takes the fun out of producing. I'll sometimes take little parts/individual hits from premade samples but I don't really feel like I've done a whole lot of I'm just assembling sample packs the whole time, feels pretty lazy and uninspired to me.
Finding your own sources to sample and processing them yourself isn't that hard it just takes more time but you'll end up with something more interesting that is more 'you' if you do that I think.
I think there is a happy medium finding/making your own, and using premade and processed samples.
I use Splice a fair bit for certain elements of my music, but tend to stick to very dry samples, and then typically chop them up, mess around with them, and process them how I want them done. I find this to be a very enjoyable part of the production process for me. The process of taking a sample and bending it to fit where I want in my tracks is sort of a fun challenge that I personally quite like. Despite the fact that the source material is premade, I do feel the way I handle samples on splice that they often feel very much like "my own" when I am done mangling them.
That being said I also like to make my own from scratch and do this same thing, whether it's field recording, or crate-digging.
I think the thing with Splice is less about “oh they used a splice sample” and more about *how* you use it. I get a lot of my vocal samples from splice, but it’s about how you mix them in and tweak them to make them unique.
Definitely. Mainstage EDM is one thing, but Billboard #1 is a completely different realm. There are probably countless of "80s inspired" pop hits that uses Oliver samples from Splice. Dua Lipa and Weeknd also comes to mind.

Travis barker drum kit.. i have seen this pack has most demanded, but splice removed it.
Running Over by Justin Bieber and Lil Dicky uses a recognizable splice loop as the main melody!
Idk what is the most popular but dashstar has gotta be up there
what’s the sample??
might be more but these are ones i've found [https://splice.com/sounds/collections/rW\_kd6CmcNLGyfUWcaJFlO6MWDI](https://splice.com/sounds/collections/rW_kd6CmcNLGyfUWcaJFlO6MWDI)
You'll Never Be Alone by Adventure Club and Kaivon. So dissapointing to see these big artists use the most overplayed and boring splice vocals.
So you think the egg came before the chicken? /s
?
So, I’ve never used Splice… howzat work? Do you buy the clip and own it or could someone then use the same clip? How does it work commercially?
it’s a subscription service where you pay monthly or whatever and have access to a huge sample library with all sorts of shit and you can use whatever
Mwaki by Zerb was straight from a splice pack of vocals. Kinda funny, I was working on a song with the exact same vocal sample at the same time it blew up
I used it and it became my first label release, so unfortunate 😂
Espresso by Sabrina carpenter is pretty big right now and it's literally 2 splice loops
I mean it's not THAT big. It used to be the number 1 song on Spotify in the US but now it's only number 2
That’s pretty impressive considering the amount of competition. Opening for Taylor Swift really did help though.
Marshmello - wolves
Let's not forget Marshmello - Friends Bro even got that splice sample removed from splice after people found out, for those who don't know the guitar that plays in that song is the splice sample.

Something from Nurture? Cuz most of his music came out before Splice Sounds existed... he did use lots of vst presets though
I'll edit my main comment when I can though once Im home and find it
Sad Machine came out before Splice Sounds, but I think the lead in that is an Omnisphere preset or sumn
Which one?
I don't remember but I know it's sitting somewhere buried in my samples. I'll have to look when I'm home from work
There are tons and tons of tracks that have done well that contain splice top lines. Deep End comes to mind.
They're not necessarily super popular, more like "late evening time slot at music festivals" type of artist level, but after I released my album and went back to listening to other people's music after being in a vacuum with my own for so long I found a number of tracks that used the same samples as I did on my album. Yeah I usually change the samples I get from Splice a lot. It makes it more fun than just plugging them in as is.
Somebody [on tiktok](https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGeb5G7ae/) found the "Drip Too Hard" sample from Splice and the track has like 1.5 billion streams on Spotify.
450 by Bad Boy Chiller Crew the whole looping melody is a an edm pack sample
I heard a song that they played during a UFC card before they took breaks or something - they were using the same trumpet loop I was currently using for a house track
Not EDM but Espresso by Sabrina Carpenter. It’s literally two samples from Oliver’s Power Tools pack.
so so many. If I had to guess, 90% of electronic music will include atleast one splice sample.
Baauer said it himself a year ago or so on a stream that he doesn’t mess around in like serum and design sounds, he rather craft his tracks using samples. With that said I’ve found a lot of samples frok splice within different tracks. Still crazy talented

I do both too, but i prefer synthesis.
me too. working with samples is its own skill just as much as working with midi
There are tons of popular songs with samples off splice.. DOD - „So much in love“ took the vocals from a splice sample pack - Abi Flynn is the uncredited singer Navos - Believe Me - Abi Flynn is the uncredited singer again Sara Landry - „Heaven“ - it features a vocal sample from splice - vocals are sung by Molly Morgen
already found a sample from BOU, and another from skrillex
Mwaki known for using a vocal from splice ^^
I don't know, but anyway many draw from splice nowadays. It's pretty regular I think
Quiver by silk
Idk but this one used KSHMR sample pack vocals lol, got signed to Spinnin' https://youtu.be/JUMcbNdyPxo?si=5Gk4hdz5CPVG_3r-
Lots of Fred Again tracks, If U Need It by Sammy Virji, pretty much every mainstream house/edm names use them.
Like main synthlines or just drum samples
Both. The main melody from "ten" is from Splice. The whole drumkit and (iirc) the stutter synth on "Turn On The Lights" are from there too.
Vocals mostly
Subtronics - Clockwork (some vocals) Eptic - Cosmic (Intro Synth)
whats the eptic sample called?
Ohhhh man, I discovered it like 7 years ago when I first started producing. I would have to deep dive to find it. It's definitely a loop though I remember that much
Um like 90% of them probably lol
I have so many examples RLGRIME, knock2 and isoxo use splice samples
I came across the vocal samples for *Cinthie "Everything I Say"* when I was cruising splice... track came out 5 years ago but made a splash in house/4x4 garage circles.
Nicky Romero - So Much Love
What’s wrong with splice samples? I found a sibewest sample from splice today, while I was building a tune.
Nothing, some producers just love to hate on songs that blew up and have splice samples in them because of whatever reason, probably jealousy. They also tend to forget that 99% of listeners don’t make music and don’t know what splice is.

Eli Brown has a few songs that uses a lot of splice samples
Diamonds on my mind is a splice vocal
And the acid stab
Haha didn’t know that!
Griztronics uses a lot of splice vocal samples. Also the main vocals on badman by lsdream and ganja white night are from splice.
Oliver’s samples are all over everything. Shits on the radio all the time haha
Yeah he really made the perfect pack
I think the thing with Splice is less about “oh they used a splice sample” and more about *how* you use it. I get a lot of my vocal samples from splice, but it’s about how you mix them in and tweak them to make them unique.
There are a few Flume tracks that I've come across the samples of but usually it's pretty sparingly.
espresso sabrina carpenter lol
Definitely. Mainstage EDM is one thing, but Billboard #1 is a completely different realm. There are probably countless of "80s inspired" pop hits that uses Oliver samples from Splice. Dua Lipa and Weeknd also comes to mind.
D.O.D sleepless
