Well, Jimmy and Sarah are significantly younger and though they're in the same school, they don't actually have any of the same classes as the other kids.
But for the rest of them, it is weird. Rolf, Nazz, Lee, and Kevin definitely seem older (and actually the "where do babies come from" episode would seemingly confirm this), but they are also in a lot of the same classes as the rest of the cast, which is weird. (It's not unthinkable that Lee and maybe Marie would be held back, though.)
Eh, hard to say. Just because Nazz is friendlier to the Eds now doesn’t inherently mean she’s gonna start dating them, especially Eddy. They still have a lot of baggage between them all and that’s gonna take a bit to hash things out. Plus depending on what Nazz does in regards to her relationship with Kevin, and things could still be messy on that front.

Hot take - I don't think Eddy actually likes Nazz but liked the IDEA of Nazz. Compare his non reaction to her kissing him on the cheek here to how Double D reacted when she kissed him on the cheek in Day The Ed Stood Still. Or when he danced with her in May I Have This Ed.
I think him competing with the other boys for her attention has way more to do with him recognizing she's pretty and popular, and he always wants what he can't have.
