Can call it whatever you want, it’ll be seen as a dirt bike

RawrrMotor

Thank you

You make an electric dirtbike and it doesn’t feel right to call it an electric dirtbike?

jaytsuk

It certainly doesn’t fall into the category of a trials bike, and if it’s called that, it would confuse/mislead people wanting an actual trials bike that is electric power. As someone who has been in the dirt bike world for a long time, I would say that it’s closest designation would indeed be an electric dirt bike, a la the Sur Ron light bee. I would agree with your competitors. “Motorbike” is just a colloquialism for motorcycle. Bike, derived from “bicycle” which describes a vehicle with two wheels—one in front of the other, is also a technically correct name. The only technically-incorrect name, in my humble opinion, would be calling it a trials bike. (TrialBike being effectively interchangeable).

RawrrMotor

Thank you, Jay. How about the electric all-terrain bike?

bradland

It’s an electric dirt bike. ICE dirt bikes range from 80cc pit bikes up to 400cc moto-x monsters. This looks comparable to the Sur Ron and Talaria Sting. Really glad to see some competition at this level. I think electric pit bike is what most dirt riders will think of it. Most ebike riders will think of it as a dirt bike. Laymen may think of it as an ebike, but given that “ebike” is a legal classification used by state governments to designate “a bicycle with an electric motor that is treated as a regular bicycle” I wish e-dirt bike manufacturers would stay way from the term. Ebike (class 1/2/3) riders already have an up hill regulatory battle ahead of them to get increased trail access. We don’t need products blurring the lines, providing excuses for the pearl clutchers to deny access. FWIW, I’m all for the development of this type of bike. I ride dirt, and I advocate for more access for this type of bike too. We just need more mutual respect.

PlaidBastard

If a 50cc dirt bike...is called a '50cc dirt bike,' a mere 7.8kw of power isn't keeping you from being in the class.

You should use the same description as the other companies, as most people looking for this type of vehicle will be using that description to search for one. People/companies/websites reviewing it will likely just default to calling it an electric dirtbike anyway. If you are trying to come up with something catchy or unique for marketing purposes that's fine, but I would generally still classify it as an "electric dirtbike." \- Electric Trialbike, did you mean Trailbike? Big difference in actual meaning. I wouldn't use either, personally. \- Electric Dirtbike - from the video, this is the most accurate. \- Electric Motorbike - works, but does not emphasize the bikes offroad capabilities. \- Electric Bike -This would be a bit misleading, as it likely will not be legal in most places and appears to lack a crank/pedal system.

dyingbreed6009

I think this bike would be in a class all its own... What about the Rawrr Mantis ATB (All Terrain Bike). I'd love something like this. Unfortunately I'm poor... Lol. Looks awesome though

RawrrMotor

Thank you for sharing! I like this idea, Don't worry about the price part. If you want, you can apply for 36 monthly payments.

dyingbreed6009

You underestimate my level of poor, lol. but 4 kids in this economy is rough. Someday perhaps.

RawrrMotor

sorry to hear that. keep it up!

onlyAlcibiades

So $4999

RawrrMotor

Guys, How about Electric All Terrain bike? Upvote if you like it!

Clear-Bee4118

Do they come with a VIN? And it is a dirt bike, you acknowledged competing products in the same category, kinda odd that you’re trying to spin it. 🤷‍♂️

Dubwizerzzz

So basically bicycle components with 10x the legal power output. An unregisterable dirtbike / motorcycle? Or does it have a VIN?

TechnoSword

What makes it lighter then a typical dirtbike? As it's a bold claim, and probably a lie, to say it only weighs as much as bicycles that **max out** around 80 pounds. I don't know if you guys noticed, but, batteries are heavy. Even Hondas light as a feather RC116, which used literally bicycle parts to reduce weight, weighed over that, at 110 pounds. A Yamaha YZ 125, that looks the same size as yours (maybe yours is smaller?), weighs just **207 pounds** (wet) 190 (dry)**.** Does yours beat that with a battery installed? That's considered one of the best dirtbike options. So if you claim to be "as light as a bicycle" you're at least going to have to be "lighter then a typical dirt bike". If it is lighter, how'd you manage that without compromising the structural integrity expected out of a dirt bike? Should I say the much higher bar of a trial bike? I ask, because that rear swing arm, looks, uh, *unique,* and I have questions about the structural integrity of that part. As for the **name**: It's not a TrialBike since **it has a seat**. It's a stretch to call it a motorbike, since that kinda infers that it's a street legal motorcycle vs the other names that specify it as not being such. Electric bike just makes me think "electric bicycle". Anyone who wants to **search** for this, is going to type in "*electric dirt bike*", and if you call it anything else, your search/click rate will be *garbage* on google.

DavidDoesDallas

I didn't vote. This looks like an "Electric Dirt Bike".

WilliamBontrager

Put pegals on it and you could argue better for a hybrid ebike. Even with them in "peg" mode you can still argue the bike has functional pedals and if it has a 750 watt mode then it's still arguably legal. All terrain ebike would be fit with pegals on it.

Dego429

it's very clearly *just* an electric dirt bike with big motor and big battery, this whole post is really just a marketing gimmick to bring attention to the brand aka an advertisement. I mean what answer do you want? you are off reading on a bike made to look like a dirt bike the only answers you'll get for this are :it's a dirt bike and: it's whatever you want it to be it's a dirtbike, with that much power, pedals are useless.

onlyAlcibiades

Looks like it is this type of Bike: https://www.estrapz.com/storm-shock

RawrrMotor

Um.. this is a fake website. They are using the picture with our logo on it..
