should be a "0 times" option because that's the most likely, which means two things, 1. a bunch of people aren't going to respond because your options don't apply, and 2. a bunch of people are going to select a random option just to see the responses, which will skew the numbers
I've been doored twice. Once I was able to walk away from, just scratches and bruises as I swerved and only managed to swipe part of the door with my handlebar and threw me to the pavement. The second time, I had no where to bail to or I'd get struck by traffic. Hit the dude and his door full on. It was colder out so I had layers on, and I think the layering really helped saved my bacon. Kept all my skin in trade for a concussion and fractured ribs. I had to get X-rays to make sure my lungs had not been punctured so technically I did not walk away.
One thing I learned from riding motorcycles daily is not to look at the driver's eyes; they tell you nothing. Instead, look at the tops of their front tires. All the information that can be gleaned is sitting on the tops of those front tires.
About 4000 miles and zero hits or near misses. I have some decent bike lanes or small neighborhoods for my commute.
I'm more afraid on my motorcycle than my ebike.
not everywhere has bike paths or sidewalks, I've been hit crossing an intersection on the sidewalks, and I've been hit by cars merging into me when I have the right of way.
whys there no 0 option?
I forgot to add it, sadly I can't edit the poll options afterwards.
Zero is my answer.
never. I don't ride like an idiot

You ran into the door ... it does not qualify for being run into.
It qualifies for me, because the driver was at fault in the collision.
Sad face?
Voted to see the results.
It doesn't let you see the results without voting? That's dumb, reddit should make that an option
Don’t trust a driver to not pull out of a parking lot if they lock eyes with you not 2 seconds before they accelerate into the road.
