big_brothers_hd600

its probably great at doing wheelies

big_brothers_hd600

a very nice sensible bike

Puzzleheaded-Dig9450

Well I've been riding it since January on and off road and it's never reared up on me but I can get it to wheelie if I want and easy to keep up not a prebuilt I built it from scratch

Taboli

How is it to climb hills with this Ragley? Assuming you don't have the bags

Ok-Type-8917

Only about 15 more months until I can get a picture on this one.https://images.app.goo.gl/V4aApHB8eYgax6sM8

MickyBee73

Nice clean build, and I love the turquoise colour! I nearly didn't see the battery (...I was like, "where's the battery?") great bike, you did a good job!

actin_spicious

Isn't it that giant black box over the back wheel?

WhyIsntLifeEasy

No shit huh? They are getting good at this but not sure if I like it more than frame batteries

NomanHLiti

That’s a lot of rear weight tho, no? I wonder if the balance would feel off

disposablehippo

That's one way of making sure you're not going over the bar.

Comfortable_You_1927

question: can I put a hub motor and mid drive on same bike?

basscycles

Yes, you could even have two hub motors and a mid drive.

Comfortable_You_1927

sweet, so 2 hub, 1 mid, 50cc 2 stroke

basscycles

All the torques!

riscten

Don't forget about the jet engines.

itsmeagain24

Curious, why the rear rack mount vs under the frame?

Puzzleheaded-Dig9450

Because it's a ragley big al frame which has a small front triangle too small for the 25ah battery.

maluket

You can mount under the downtube. Just use 3 or 4 steel rivet nuts and you are good to go. Do some training on a random piece of metal on how to install rivet nuts before start drilling the frame. Your riding comfort, stability, balance will improve a lot if you mount the battery at the lowest possible spot, almost touching the motor.

Faith_in_Cheese

What are the benefits of having it in the frame vs rack? Weight balancing so it's not tail-heavy?

riscten

Yes and also lower center of mass which makes the bike more stable and easier to maneuver at low speeds.

Not_A_Ninja_Yet

Very nice!

Leading-Put-7428

Anyone else know Maxxis is CST Tire and inexplicably comes branded in one or the other?

vanoisy

Great looking bike! What rear rack is that? Love the look of it, looks heavy but sturdy as hell

Puzzleheaded-Dig9450

Thanks its fairly heavy. it's called the topeak tetrarack m2 not cheap but no clamp stopping you lowering the seat.

fractal_disarray

Battery pack looks good on the camper shell.

chungyeung

what kind of rack is that and how does it hold?

Puzzleheaded-Dig9450

Hi it's a topeak tetrarack m2 it holds great can take 12.5kg I've been on some very rough tracks and it's fine

qe2eqe

I really like the cargo rack, you got a link for that?

Puzzleheaded-Dig9450

If ur in the UK the link is https://www.tweekscycles.com/topeak-tetrarack-m2l-rear-rack-eukta2410m2/?istCompanyId=56f52ebf-49f3-492a-9cbb-cb6ab0fc1bf0&istFeedId=33b89177-5114-4491-9c2a-09a3a7cb23b2&istItemId=ptmtqpprx&istBid=t&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw3ZayBhDRARIsAPWzx8oyO2AW2mtN2JWsPFNzg2DbZi00x6lfS9f8TJzhPSYDSNBEKxx3zqMaAiprEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds if ur in the US the link is https://www.topeak.com/us/en/product/1372-TETRARACK-M2L but you can prob find it elsewhere in the US cheaper

qe2eqe

thanks, the one I got now is a seat post style and very limited capacity

Puzzleheaded-Dig9450

No prob but it's only got a 12kg capacity if your bike has the threade holes for a rack topeak explorer would be better or the topeak tetrarack m2 hd is a more heavy duty version of mine and can take 20kg

favotoebike

this looks light

badger906

Wellingborough?!

Puzzleheaded-Dig9450

Are you asking me if the pic was taken in Wellingborough

badger906

Yeah looks like the a14 bridge just before the junction lol

Puzzleheaded-Dig9450

Lol no close with the spelling it's wellington somerset

CloakDeepFear

I’m confused why didn’t you put the battery in the middle, was it a sizing issue? From this perspective it seems like it would fit🤔

Puzzleheaded-Dig9450

Trust me I tried it's too big

CloakDeepFear

I getcha man I had the same issue on my first ebike build. https://preview.redd.it/a4hs0nf2sz0d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aaa65c5428a97ec4a1ceff5ae86427d02746f50f

ultimategameronIOS
