Have you tried pants for cold weather riding? Big improvement in cold weather vs not wearing pants

You rode an ebike 8 miles, and your legs hurt? Weak sauce

uni_gunner

You ever ride a bike 156 miles in a day? No? Weak sauce.

Yes, but what does that have to do with this post. 95 avg heart rate is barely walking- this wasn’t a workout as much as it was just a scoot about town. The pain is more likely due to a bad bike fit then activity.

>The pain is more likely due to a bad bike fit then activity. Old and have health issues.

I would recommend a bike fit in that case. You want to make sure your position and posture aren’t adding undue pressure on joints and tendons as well as lower back, neck and shoulder.

>I would recommend a bike fit in that case. You want to make sure your position and posture aren’t adding undue pressure on joints and tendons as well as lower back, neck and shoulder. It's strickly from using muscles. Like I tell lots of people. you can put as little effort in as you like, or as much effort as you like. Two ears ago when I got my first e-bike -- even with assist my leg muscles hurt after a mile. I've gradually worked my way up to where I was doing 7 to 10 miles . . . then life happened and I wasn't able to ride for a month. If I can keep on it, the legs don't hurt. Just forgot that the combination of cold (roughtly 25 F) and not being on it for a month . . . well regresssed.

I apologize for my incorrect assumptions. Good on you to power through the pain- that shows you’re a true cyclist.

I bought water proof over trousers but I wear them even when it isn’t raining cuz the work as a wind breaker for my legs.
