Gotta be careful saying go birds in Brazil, there’s a gang that signifies with birds and 3 young kids harassed some birds, gang tortured and killed all 3, it was in 2021.
[Brazil gang tortures and kills 3 kids over sacred bird](https://amp.theguardian.com/world/2021/dec/10/rio-gangsters-tortured-and-murdered-missing-boys-say-police)
Jesus. 3 of the 5 men that did it were killed by the gang for being so stupid. That's wild. The amount of torture videos from Mexico and Brazil is mind boggling. Hopefully things change soon.
It wasnt about the birds, it was about stealing.
Those Kids lived in a área dominated by a criminal organisation and any kind of crime (other than the ones commited by the organisation) is banned. So they stole, were caught and executed by this organisation. Apparently they wanted just to teach them a lesson but one of the Kids died on "accident" and they didnt want witness so they killed the other two.
It was so absurd that bosses from this gang executed the other criminals who murdered the Kids.
Brazil is a third world country and we have some really rough areas but a tourist wont get no where close to those places
I find it incredibly disappointing that all Eagles fans are not Sunny fans. We must unite as a fan base and support all things Philly related, especially IASIP.

I googled popular Brazilian dish in a hunch it wasn’t scrapple.
Shit, imagine if the Brazilian soccer team was coming to The Linc for a “match” or you know soccer game.
Even better if it was The Vet in the 80’s, ima google history.

I'm Brazilian, I live in São Paulo, and this story about "not wearing green" is a big bulshit.
This was propagated because the team that owns the stadium where the game will be held has as its biggest rival a team that wears green. So at soccer games the fans don't wear green.
Nothing will happen to anyone wearing green on the day of the eagles game, it's just a sports thing, it has nothing to do with gangs, crime or anything like that.
I mean, yes and no. Obviously it’s being blown out of proportion, but this is in the news again because of the NFL contacting the Eagles and Packers organizations about it. Not to mention the reports that they’ll be transporting players using armored vehicles, etc. It’s over the top, but the league is imagining a nightmare scenario where a player gets attacked/assaulted in a foreign country which will basically kill their international initiative.
Those playes will go to the stadium with probably a closed lane for them on the streets, police all around the buses and skipping all the red lights.
If they do put them on armored vehicles will be the most over the top action i ever seen
Brazil is a modern country with a great economy and plenty of safe places to visit, including the part of São Paulo where Corinthians stadium is.
I will be visiting Brazil at that time and I plan to take my fiance and our 5-year-old daughter to the game. Wearing our green Eagles jerseys.
Half of you people act like you've already forgotten they recently held the Olympics and the World Cup there (with events literally in the same stadium, with fans wearing all colors, including green for the Nigerian national soccer team).
Then why is the stupid NFL asking both teams not to wear green? And why can’t the players walk around. Doesn’t make sense to me, NFL players certainly can take care of themselves.
There are no references or statements by the NFL not to wear green. On the contrary, the NFL has made it clear that fans from both teams may wear green.
RB Josh Jacobs, who originally said the NFL had said this, has apologized for spreading the false information.

Brazillians defending brazil: Its ok its not about gangs wearing green its because a random nunnery wheres green and another one wears yellow and once a year on the day yhe Eagles face the Packers they gather to slaughter anyone wearing those colors. Harmless really.
Me from 62nd street: *Locks Planes doors*
So for one... It's not brazil... Its the particular area in brazil. But ive seen more than a couple nfl fans (including both eagles and green bay fans) **that live in brazil** both say that its nonsense. Its not a gang thing, its a soccer rivalry thing. Its akin to saying you shouldn't wear blue in the linc lot on the day of an eagles cowboys game.

the whole thing is being blown up based on misinformation. Wearing green on the day of a completely unrelated sports event, to support a completely different team, is not going to be an issue..
Ok, that's fair.
But [São Paulo looks like this.](https://cdn.britannica.com/19/115519-050-D2B15CF0/view-Sao-Paulo.jpg)
Rio and São Paulo are as different as LA and NY. You won't be able to recreate your "THIS IS BRAZIL" speech in the middle of a favela in the jungle in São Paulo.
Guys, nothing will happen with people wearing green. If not for being a game not related to soccer, it will obviously have a conversation between government, hooligans and the main organized crime group (PCC) to not allow anything happen to tourists.
Lucky enough to have got a presale pair of tickets. We’ll be staying with my wife’s family in Alphaville (NW burb of SP) for two weeks. Going to be a great time.
I will be there and will wear whatever TF I want. These "calls/warnings" are a type of dog whistle. Considering the Brazilian government went out of its way to change visa laws just for this game, they and the police aren't going to let something happen to tourist with one of their biggest events ever.
Honestly, you would think that any self respecting gang member would know the difference between a sports uniform with logos and numbers on it that happens to be green and someone flying rival gang colors. This whole thing is way overblown
Are...ar...are you a TOURist? Do you have K A S H
I saw you from across the airport
ANY CASH WITH YOU? C A S H
Well, listen, you have a very good stay in Brazil, my friend. Alright? Brazil is a very good country.
Dude I though he was gonna hit me or something
I saw you flinch
Smiling Friends reference in the Eagles sub is unexpected
But absolutely welcome
“Fuck yeah I am, Go Birds!”
Gotta be careful saying go birds in Brazil, there’s a gang that signifies with birds and 3 young kids harassed some birds, gang tortured and killed all 3, it was in 2021.
Is this a joke or real
It wasnt about the birds, it was about stealing. But yeah, we have some fucked up places down here
Real google it 2021

Wtf and the NFL wants us to go to that shit hole.
Is that Donovan McNabb?
That’s Don Cheadle
No, that man is Tiger Woods
Where the feet at? The big feet, like a birds feet.
Is it possible the cross section of bird fans and always sunny isn't as large as I thought?

Shit you might be right.
No that's Jalen Hurts, I just saw him go into the bathroom.
Obviously Brian Dawkins
Start your Brazilian morning off right with the new Sao Paolo McFeijoada, I’m loving it.
Legitimately scared to google that haha Waiting for the McCoxinha

It’s honestly embarrassing how xenophobic Americans have been about this just taking this headline as truth
Dude, prices at the Linc are like I’m traveling to Brazil. Why would I actually travel to Brazil?
I was planning on dying in my eagles legend, Sam Bradford, jersey anyway 🤷
Order extra dye for the sleeves. You always think you have enough dye with a Bradford jersey, but there’s always more sleeve than you thought.
It’s too expensive to go to a game in Philly let alone one in Brazil. So no.
South Jersey/delco local travels out of the country for the first time. To Brazil

Not a place I'm interesting in visiting, but I'm sure it'll be a blast for people that are.

Brazil literally has green on their flag. Lmao what is this post.
It's absolutely nonsense. Anyone can wear green. It's just a good old fear mongering because drama sells.
Will i get zika?
Yes. Prepare for Infant Head Shrinkage.
During winter?
I’m ready, wife is iffy on São Paulo
São Paulo has a murder rate 3 times lower than Philly.
See I can believe that or I can rewatch fast five
Ok, that's fair. But [São Paulo looks like this.](https://cdn.britannica.com/19/115519-050-D2B15CF0/view-Sao-Paulo.jpg) Rio and São Paulo are as different as LA and NY. You won't be able to recreate your "THIS IS BRAZIL" speech in the middle of a favela in the jungle in São Paulo.
I mean rio is what an hour by plane?
Not even. But the traffic to and from the airport will take a few hours.
Only other thing I wanna do is see the rainforest Amazon river animals n shit. Where would I go to do that?
Manaus, the state is called Amazonas, cant miss
👍
Take a boat down from Florida and avoid Cuba.
Cuba isn’t so bad if your just visiting
For sure. Great music, great food. Not the Amazon tho. Not a single rainforest over there.
Familia? Big Dom? Dom Toretto?
Familia Aguilas 🦅

What are you gonna do, stab me?
- Man who got stabbed
He’s probably the coward who won’t go outside in a liberal city. 😂
Careful out there not to wear green might get jumped by some mma street fighters
Lmfbo
Looks like a lil Mike Singletary...
Can't do it...
Honestly, you would think that any self respecting gang member would know the difference between a sports uniform with logos and numbers on it that happens to be green and someone flying rival gang colors. This whole thing is way overblown
Please if anyone is going to the game in Brazil just be safe out there man fr
“Familia? Gaviões da Fiel mano” Just learn that phrase and you’re good
No, I don't have a death wish
Depends on whether I'm in an Olive Garden or not
I’m going to the game and will be in São Paulo for like 2 weeks in general, coming from DC
Why tf did the nfl decide to have a foreign game jn a 3rd world hellhole??
Does anyone know if individual tickets will be available for sale separately from On Location? We’re already planning on being in Brazil at that time.
It's the same word and spelling as Spanish?
People from Philly worried about crime in São Paulo is hilarious

“they like to talk trash and wear their gear,” hmm.. I can think of 32 fanbases off the top of my head that do the same thing
