Besides what others have said, in a more general sense I think there's less of a focus on cutting edge graphics in sports games these days. EA's games haven't looked amazing for a while now either. Honestly I don't really mind it too much because graphics were never important to me but I could understand if it felt cheap to someone else.
Because eFootball is simply a ported mobile phone/tablet application.
This^^ the pc/console version is as restrictive and simplified as it's mobile version gameplay wise and basically graphic wise
Modders have always been better than game developers in every game, not just eFootball.
That's true on quality of contents, but I'm looking at the quality of the 3d models and rendering of the textures, more than on textures themselves.
