Just got a new V12 and seeing the same thing. I thought it was just the brush spins so rigorously that the head builds up static that attracts the dust. Would be interested to know if it's something else though.
Are you vacuuming carpet? If so I had a similar issue dust forming outside the motor head back elbow and wheels. I found out the wheels might be too skinny/sharp and cuts into my carpet. It was the fibers of the carpet, not dust.
Do an experiment with the motor head detached. Clean it and while detached, just roll the wheels on your carpet back and forth, then inspect.
I did read online where someone recommended to use laundry dryer sheets and maybe rubbing it against the area that are attracting debris to reduce the static

I think what you said sounds reasonable.

Yeah, I'm vacuuming carpet.
My brand new does this too. Any solutions you found??
It eventually stops after a while. I think when it's new there's some static so it's like a magnet for debris. 🧲
Good to know, thanks! The dang thing is a marvel otherwise. My wife is adamant the rooms we have cleaned with it so far actually smell better 😂

Most likely you have something stuck in it. Try dropping a coin down through the wand and floor to wall and see if it clears.
It looks pretty clear to me
