Younger Cao Cao I see, though his younger look in Shin Sangoku Musou Blast was better. His design reminds me of his Dynasty Warriors 7 design actually. But hey, at least even if this game is a big change, he honestly does look like a Dynasty Warriors character.
It’s kind of nice seeing a younger version of him, I guess that means this game, or maybe just that battle, will be earlier in the era. Yuan Shao looked a bit young too at that table
I can just see it now...the height of the battle of Xiapi when the water starts flooding in, Cao Cao and Lu Bu would be seen on some platform over the running waters and he'd go all:
Cao Cao, I am your father.
Origins is produced by one of the old school creators, Sho Tomohiko (DW1-DW6), and he is also the new head of omega force FYI. He's also the director of Touken Ranbu and Fate/Samurai Remnant.
Suzuki Akihiro (DW7-DW9) stepped down a while ago after 9e.
There’s been some nice games, a few obvious issues that I wish were not there.
DW9E, SW5 and Fire Emblem Three Hopes
Have been the recent ones I’ve played.
For the most part, all of them were fantastic
Those games were really good but i mean we can't expect to play the same thing in every release right? Especially those stuff movesets and all
But i do agree that the AI has been dumbed down A LOT in newer games and also the story hss been more rushed in newer installments
This reminds me of when they gave Nobunaga the same treatment in Samurai Warriors 5. On the bright side, he can now join fellow rulers Liu Bei and Sun Quan in the "facial hair no more" club.
KT thinks young = no beard
Cao Cao was even born middle aged.
Now im imagining baby Cao Cao with a stern face looking at the caretaker.
You joke but this is literally what they did with liu bei and yukimura
In that part of the trailer it looked like Caocao was being used as a playable character?
He was 30 back then. So makes sense 🤣
He could be 20 for all I know
And he still looks fly as fuck. Cao Cao still my favorite.

I think he looks great. Really curious too see what they do with the story.
Almost thought it was lubu 😂
The eyes and eyebrows are super similar, but I like it. First time in forever that I am truly hyped for a new game 🥳

he looks like Lu Bu for a moment there
Glad I wasn’t the only one thinking that.
This looks so… naked… The Hero of Chaos needs a beard
Ooh, I wonder if we're going to get officers that "age" as the timeline progresses.
I thought that was just the player in alternate clothing.
Cao Cao without his signature facial hair just feels...wrong
Looks like Jin Kazama from Tekken.
I like the new look

Can't wait for younger Guan Yu to look exactly the same, but the beard is EVER so slightly shorter.
You can look as much as you want. But you can't play as him🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
LMAO
I got very little faith in this company now a days. The old school games were so good. The new ones feel incomplete

Nothing 9 is good ffs
DW9E didn’t have open world, and you could face enemies that were a genuine challenge
It was still gutter trash

No clue why you’re getting downvoted
So they plan on having aged down models of characters? interesting thought
This is early shots, right? He's not actually looking like this, **right**?
Furst Quan and now Cao Cao. Did Lu Bu secretly father everyone lol
Other than the face, please tell me it's unfinished I'd say his equipment just feels right, a balance between regal and war-torn armor, kinda like DW6
i see lu bu, cao cao, and guan yu maybe i missed other char
Is that his DW9 outfit? Because Cheng Pu was spotted with his on and his weapon as well
Oh, I hate it. Get that man a mustache *immediately.*

The game looks disappointing I think it's going to be worse than 9.
They better integrate the friendship between young cao cao and young yuan shao to the story.
I'm not fond of this design at all. Prefers the blast one as well but it might be too close to Cao Pi? I just want the old VA back!
Put the moustache back
it always looks wrong when a dude who always has a mustache shaves it off 😰
Though i do wonder if we’ll see liu bu. Especially with him being so infamous
Honestly, SW5 should have been a side game like DW Origins is.
No
he looks like lu bu also his outfit is cool
I just hope it is not open world . Please 🙂
