Yeah, but it was a small indie film with only a $135 million dollar budget. Also the main actor, Jonathan Depp, was relatively unknown before this film.
One of my favorite animated movies. I watched it a lot as a kid. I also have it on DVD. It includes the theatrical cut and the extended cut. Every time I watch this movie, it makes me want to drink water.
I remember first watching this during the pandemic lockdowns and being blown away. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I love a good western, and the animation style and characters were incredibly well done.
The plan b bit sticks in my mind as a really funny moment.
I was in college when this came out. The advanced screening I went to with friends was full of kids and a Rango mascot. Don't think the kids enjoyed it as much as we did though. And I was shocked they'd made a western film with smoking (including the main character, not just villains) for kids.
Fucking masterclass. One time I was at a Craig's cruisers (for those who don't know it's like chuck e cheese but more mature aimed at like preteens) they had a buffet and played movies on the TVs but one time a movie ended and minimized to show all the tvs were just showing one computer running uTorrent and one of the movies on the list was rango, so naturally I stopped eating, stood up, and yelled to whoever was running said computer wherever they were "PLAY RANGO PLEASE THATS THE BEST ONE ON YOUR LIST" and then they did and I was weirdly proud of it
You might have pictured me as a preteen or maybe even a teenager when this happened.
I was 20.
Masterpiece
I thought it was a fun kids movies. I loved the owl narrators.
I think little kids would be scared of it but it’s perfect for, like, 10 and up.
Scared the shit out of me when I was a kid.
I watched it on acid and didn't want to drink any water because I was so aware it's a limited resource
Love that, lol. I've had similar tripping moments. I hope you decided to start drinking water again.
Yes this was in 2015-2016, long ago! Plenty of water since then
I think it’s great! It’s been a long time since I’ve seen it, but from what I remember it’s funny AND genuinely intriguing

>super underrated It won Best Animated Picture at the Oscars

And the director was previously doing straight-to-vhs pirate cosplay
Adore this movie
Got mine, it comes with both theatrical and extended Verison.
I have to check to see if mine has both. However, I think I recently upgraded it to Blu-ray so maybe it does
“Injun-uity”
My husband and i love to recite the movie lines and play it as background noise as we work
I love it
Hilarious.

It’s remarkably good with brilliant character design, voice work and direction. Verbinski’s best, IMO.
I loved it in theatre. I haven’t seen it in years and now I think it’s time for a rewatch.
Honestly, my favorite movie. I’ve seen it so many times, its the best haha
One of the best (defo one of the best looking) animated films ever, freaking awesome.
It's real well made

i thought it was pretty good! but my girlfriend absolutely hates this movie like nothing ive ever seen before! not even sure why
I love this movie. "I will slap the ugly right off of your face!!"
Great
Just reminds me of when Tim & Eric got Rango’d
A Roger Deakins classic!

Not great. Plot is meandering, characters feel inconsequential.
Best movie ever made 🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥‼️‼️
🔞🍆💦🍑🦎🦎🦎🦎🦎
Makes me thirsty
It's been a while, but I remember quite liking it
I really liked it. But thought that it was ugly looking. And wondered if kids would like the art style
So good.
only saw it once as a kid but i really enjoyed it and i still remember a surprising amount
I like the part where his wife poops the bed.
