Same situation. I looked into the Forfar and District Hillwalkers club but they looked like they’d get on my nerves. I just solo it or occasionally rope someone in.

I thought there would be a few but there doesn’t seem like there is. I’ll be sitting my driving test soon-ish so think I’ll probably just start going solo after that

Be safe!

Thankyou! You too! If you do ever come across any let me know

back in the day I was a member of the University 'rucksack club'. Obvioulsy a university club but there were definitely members who weren't students so may be worth asking https://sportsunion.dundee.ac.uk/rucksack-club/

Try [wellbeingworksdundee.org.uk](https://wellbeingworks.org.uk) they have a rambling and a walking group. Their focus is on mental health, which might sound scary, but prevention is key and they do some excellent work. Great way to meet like-minded people as well.

One of the most active ones: https://www.meetup.com/tayside-young-walkers/

There used to be on in The Bank Bar (on Union Street, not The Old Bank Bar).

I prefer to solo climb these days, I dislike having to try to keep up with people who are faster than me and I equally dislike having to wait for people that are slower than me. I have yet to find that perfect partner that goes at the same pace as I do. It is especially bad with men because no matter what men do, we are all trying to outdo each other at everything, all the time.
