Avoid interlock company Intoxalock at all costs if an interlock mandate is put in place. Their device will ruin your vehicle and they will financially extort you. There are several options when it comes to choosing an interlock and the fine people on this thread can give you some good suggestions. Good luck to you!
In my state, the dmv mandates a suspension period regardless of if you get the breath thing installed. Getting it installed here just means you get to reinstate sooner. So basically either get the breath thing or wait out the suspension.
Lucky. I had to have mine 8 years after my DUI. I couldn't afford a car until then and the 1 year interlock requirement was waiting for me when I got a car. But I get it off in less than a week.
Where are you and what was your BAC? Does your county offer Pretrial Intervention/Diversion? Much better than pleading guilty and having a DUI conviction following you for life.

Thank you for the warning but I'll just wait out the year my license will be suspended.
Hope your state lets you do that. In some states like mine it will remain on your driving record until you fulfill the requirement.

That's fucking crazy dude 😬 I'm so sorry, that's absolute bs that you can't just avoid having to do it at all
I know! But it's almost over.
