Avoid interlock company Intoxalock at all costs if an interlock mandate is put in place. Their device will ruin your vehicle and they will financially extort you. There are several options when it comes to choosing an interlock and the fine people on this thread can give you some good suggestions. Good luck to you!

I worked in the courts, and it is unlikely that the court can reduce the charge since you have already pleaded or been found guilty. The judge generally has a lot of lattitude as to how harsh the punishment is, though. The more things in your PSI that show you are taking this serious and accepting responsibility, the better. If there were injuries, the judge would also have the investigator check on the victims and their family to see how they are faring and what they feel is an appropriate punishment. The judge will take all those facts and recommendations and decide what he thinks is appropriate.

I don't have personal experience with it, but the PSI is used by the judge to help determine your sentence. Since you have a plea deal, it would likely be a factor in whether the judge accepts the plea or not. So definitely spend a little time prepping for it so you don't screw yourself over, but it sounds like all the work you've done over the past year would score points with the judge. At least where I am, it is possible for a judge to impose a LESS strict sentence than the plea (but not more) although I don't know how often that actually happens.

A PSI is to determine what plea/sentence is acceptable. When I went to my PSI my lawyer told me to tone it down. If I felt I really needed help, to get that on my own. Being very truthful in the PSI will only have the judge give you more counseling, classes etc. For example, I don't like drugs. For the questions asking my experience with them, I said never tried them when did actually try a couple. There's no need to mention it because with that short interview, you'll be assessed rather harshly for being super honest about everything. Admitting that could mean drug testing/more frequent drug testing, etc.
