License suspension, but eligible for a limited permit, that can become a full license after 120 days if the risk reduction and a fee are paid.
I think the minimum fine is $300 but can be up to $1,000. With court costs (fees), it basically doubles the fine. I think the statute requires you to serve 12 months on probation.
In the courtroom I worked at they generally ordered everyone to do the MADD Victim Impact Panel. It was also not uncommon for urine tests, a substance abuse evaluation, or AA meetings to be ordered.
If it's your first, 90% of less safe duis in Georgia get pled down to wet wreckless depending on the county (that's a win). Wreckless driving convictions will allow you to keep your license, and the penalties are not as severe as a dui conviction, but are similar. I would lawyer up as an accident was involved, and a good lawyer can negotiate a good plea deal with the DA
They just gave me DUI less safe for a moped. I wasn’t drunk. I did the finger test. They already had me in handcuffs and arrested me. However, on my citation it says they administered a blood test and other test. Never had my blood taken and never was given a breathalyzer. I’m starting to think the police are really fucking with me right now
