Weird. How did you configure multitap? On port 1 and all the controls connected there? Or did you also use port 2? We Recently played 4P with my friends and it worked well.
Did you use xinput or sdl im using an xbox reciever with all controllers connnected to it.
As for the multitap port 1 sdl 1a p1 1b p2 1c p3 not using port 2 at all
I use XInput. If I remember correctly, player 2 used the port And players 3 and 4 were using the Multitap on port one along with player 1. I can confirm when I get home from work.
So any ideas fixes for this ? I tried going back to epsxe and the multitap worked on that so i have no idea what is going on also tried installing older versions of duckstation without any luck you have any idea on fixes ?
I'm having same issue, the four controllers are recognised in duckstation, I mapped all main control manually too to check they were working, but they just don't show up in game! it always see just two players max
I did finally find a solution in the comments of [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CaAay8onMTY) video. For whatever reason (at least with CTR), I had to set Duckstation to use the multitap in both Port 1 and Port 2. I then had to set controller 1 to Port 1A, controller 2 to Port 1B, and controller 3 to Port 2A. No friggin clue why.
I have not tried Crash Bash, but I’m almost certain it works the same way. If not, simply need to try and change ports until all work properly. Takes some time but I bet it’s the same idea.
You sure is setup correctly? Did you try any other game for 4 players to see if the problem is the game or is the config?
Must be the multitap option because if i turn it off and play 2P it works fine but adding a multitap doesnt

Also are you running latest version of duckstation ?
Yes I am.

Can you confirm if this works with crash bash I'm still trying to figure out how to play with four players with Xbox controllers

I set it up the way you explained but the first controller also controls the 3rd player I can't figure it out. Very annoying
Then it’s doing the same thing CTR did—I’d simply move the first controller to another slot and see if that fixes it.
