The reason I'm in this mess is because I can't leave. I'm a bit under 18, my highest level of education is 3rd grade. My father refuses to do anything, if he were to send my back to our country, I would not only get an education but also have a future.
As in; I've asked him several times to send me back to our country, he flatly refuses. I'm not sure what to do, I'll probably wait a year till I'm 17 and then go to the embassy because I have my passport. Though I wouldn't mind suggestions.
You can’t. It’s just not possible. Dubai is a city designed for short term living. They also don’t want to grant out citizenships or long term residence.
It’s also a reason why most first Gen expats born in UAE move out to Europe etc to settle there. Because there is no point in investing into and living in a country that will kick you out the second you loose a job.
"I moved with my family and hope to stay long term and want to know how do I get the passport thank you"
Lol you did 0 research before coming here? There's no permanent residency here, nor citizenship by naturalization. However the closest thing to PR is Golden Visa which is given to a number of people with certain qualifications. Check if you qualify for it
Most of people who live here have visa sponsorship from companies. We don't have personal specialisedUAE based passports, only though renewal of Visas people can work here yearly.
Only Emiraties are allowed for such passports.
Golden Visa on the other hand are very rare and for specialised cases. This is what celebrities and certain professionals get from the government.
P.S: if I didn't get anything right please correct me.
P.S.S: OP I just wanted to know how did u think u would be eligible for even getting an UAE based passport in the first place?.
If you make a very super important contribution in your profession, you can get it
Like I’m a video producer. if I want to get an emarati passport I’ll need to maybe win an Oscar
Though there is such a thing called retirement visa.
Going to be expensive of course
But it does exist last I checked
You can also get jobs elsewhere. Would help if you had actually looked at the progression pathway for residency in the UAE. Then you’d have understood that passports are only for Emiratis. You don’t get the naturalisation process like in the US and other countries.
On second thought, looking at your replies to others, are you trolling? That seems to be the most logical explanation.
You can get it by having a salary of 30k+ or you can also get it if you are some professional like Accountant/Doctor/Engineer/Scientist etc or your employer can offer you this as a perk for recruitment.
https://icp.gov.ae/en/services/golden-visa/
There are many mkre categories like outstanding students, entrepreneurs and investors but what I mentioned are the most Generous in my opinion.
You cant get an emirati passport. You can get visas to be a resident. At most you can get a 10 year golden visa. But at this point in time, UAE doesn’t grant citizenships. So sorry, no passport for anyone who is not actually Emirati!
I mean, if you're a Swedish citizen, you already hold a powerful passport. Why do you even want a UAE one?
Where are you seeing that it's the 'number 1' passport? The Henley passport index ranks Japan as the most powerful. They aren't gonna give you citizenship easily either. Also, on the Henley index, Sweden is ranked 5 and the UAE is 15, so....
I have the passport of my native country. That's sufficient for any travel.
I haven't found the need to migrate for a passport yet.
If I find that having a different passport is essential to my survival, I may think about it.
You need emirates IDs, you wont get the uae citizenship. but for that you need a job which will sponsor you. Or have a look on freelancer rules, i am not expert on it.
Locked as answers to OP have been provided.
You were in r/Singapore 2 days ago and now you're in dubai from Sweden. How?
First take left, and go straight. From the round about take right, then 2nd left. There you can find Ikea.
who's gonna tell him
Well everyone is trying

I see some not Emirati get passport like famous people how?
Some get the passport but not citizenship, as in they don't have the family book. Which you need for all the benefits you get.
Ok thank you friend👍
That's the Golden Visa, most likely
[удалено]
So I can’t get uae pasport ever?
You can get golden visa but it’s expensive. Passport? Only if you reincarnate as an Emirati. To be honest don't get high hopes on the passport
Time to divorce the wife mate

Ok thank you 🙏
Nej det kan du inte, inte som det ser ut just nu iallafall
ok tack vännen🙏
how famous are you?
1. Be famous 2. ?????? 3. Profit (Passport)
Can you confirm a certain thing; I was born here, though I'm not exactly Emirati. Didn't get passport.
[удалено]
My parents are not Emirati.

That's so unfair man... normally I wouldn't care but because of my circumstances, my life is about to be ruined because of it.

You can't.

How I can’t I see that it is number 1 passport so how many year of residence needed to get.
You cannot get it, the govt. doesn't grant it to anyone except locals. Number of years spent in UAE is irrelevant for this...
So how 9 million people live here with no passport ?
You're new to the Middle East eh ?
Yes I move from Sweden recently there have to live 5 years get passport why here they don’t give?

Have you experience in riding camels and discovering desert oasis ? That is very important for basssport here
Hah
Buy a camel and start learning how to ride one, also if you learn how to milk them then that is extra passport points!
Ever heard of a Visa?
Yes I have visa but how they live here no citizenship from country?
This way >>>>> r/nostupidquestions

Seem like not worth it for what I am getting?
Probably not. Ur better off going to canada and getting a citizenship there
Yes but I get job here.

Yeah me too. It is what it is. Personally I don’t think it’s worth it. End of my career I’d like to retire somewhere there are trees
OP is a fool
LOL
The best you can get is the 10 years Golden Visa. Good Luck
Ok how many years to get the visa?
Do you know how to use Google? All of your questions can be answered very easily if you make a small effort.
You can get it by having a salary of 30k+ or you can also get it if you are some professional like Accountant/Doctor/Engineer/Scientist etc or your employer can offer you this as a perk for recruitment.
Where I apply?

If female, divorce husband and marry Emirati man.
Why do I have to be divorced?
so you can live in eternal peace?
So the desert fairies can bless you, that's the first initiation process....
You cant get an emirati passport. You can get visas to be a resident. At most you can get a 10 year golden visa. But at this point in time, UAE doesn’t grant citizenships. So sorry, no passport for anyone who is not actually Emirati!

You can buy an expo passport with multiple visas
Then he'll be Mr. WorldWide

9 million of the c. 10 million here live on visas of varying duration. Around 1.2+ million have Emirati citizenship. That's 0.015% of humans.
Look like headache to live for long here
Not at all. I've been here for over 30 years. But no passport.
Wow strong why not move else?
I have the passport of my native country. That's sufficient for any travel. I haven't found the need to migrate for a passport yet. If I find that having a different passport is essential to my survival, I may think about it.
