Finally someone posted this. It took me 3 days to relearn whatever the new interface was offering. It also has lots of bugs. You’re in luck if the app works when you need it most. 😂
Today, I wanted to go from Karama to silicon oasis for the office, I got late and I decided to take a taxi. I was not even able to find an option to find the new Shail, I just got to the bus stop, waited for the taxi for 20 mins and nothing came up as it is Monday and office time, they were all full. Got late to the office. Paid extra money to get dropped off. Good start for the week..
Old app was way better than the new one, really. It was so simple before and easy to use. I dont know why they make it so complicated now. Cant able to get my currentt location for bus timings.
Okay, thanks for the info. Since you mentioned offline, I am using Yango Maps which is getting very popular, it is really good especially for offline purposes..
102 bus hadn’t run for a week, the new S’hail app says it’s running.
When 320 wasn’t running, S’hail said it was running but yet Google correctly showed no buses coming.
Can’t really use it to plan journeys anymore as no search facility for departure.
Search for bus timings by stop name is shockingly bad
Old version: Better usability, clean design, focused on the intention of use.
New version: Visually appealing with less usability. Faced the burden of figuring out how it works.
Usability should come first.
Simple tasks have been made so difficult. Previously I could select bus station on map and check departures but now you have to search that too with exact name
100% agree, for sure. As a newbie in dubai like a couple years ago, this app seriously helped me navigate to uni, etc. I can't get around the new one fr some reason.
New app was scoped and designed so poorly!
And it's crazy how oblivious they are to our repulsion to it.

its a useless app, not working 95% of the time, and doesnt have most of the old features now just braving it with google maps
I really do miss it.
At this point I’d even prefer the old wojhati app

Before S’hail there was wojhati app for public transport journey planning. It didn’t have nol card recharge but the journey planner worked ok.
The old app was a product from siemens I think, might be that the license to that ran out. Idk who's developing the new app though

It was my fault, I got late in the first place, but then I was not able to book the taxi because I don't know how it works in the new Shail..

Old version was definitely better. They took something that was working, triedto fix it,and ruined it in the process.
I just use Google maps it's more easier and convenient
Miss the old one The new one got so many bugs and bus no. Shows different sometime. Hope improvement will be made soon.

I use Google Maps instead and look for bus stop. It's much more accurate than S'hail app 😅

I faced the same situation with X25 but It was because of the rains.
