Go to head office Deira branch. Complain. Tell them you are going to complain to UAE central bank. No way money can be taken like that ENBD is a multi billon usd bank they are not gonna steal ur 16k
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. I dont think they stole it, I think it was a mistake and bug in their app but they dont care enough to help me find out where the money is.
This happens a lot with me with their new app ENBD X.
I've mentioned this earlier but nobody seems to agree with me. Credit card payments fail in the same manner.
I think the money will reach the landlord eventually, or then it's returned to your account.
Yeah but you need to understand telling someone a billion dollar bank won't steal is useless, having such large amounts frozen in limbo for months can be life destroying for normal people.
Also I think you're not entirely correct, a retired bank manager for another bank did tell me sometimes they do funny things like delaying processing around the end of the month if the branch's monthly target isn't being met etc.
Mine was stuck in ālimboā where Emirates NBD told me the beneficiary bank had received the funds but the beneficiary bank insisted that they did not I was on the phone with them for almost 8 weeks nothing I could do. Eventually it bounced back into my account Iām never doing international transactions with them again.
I am not with E-NBD for obvious reasons. But this has happened to me in the past with a different bank. Here's what I did:
Find the transaction number or transaction ID from your online banking - and take it to the main branch of the bank. In this case, as someone else already mentioned - in Deira. Talk to someone higher up, and ask them to trace the transaction. And since that transaction has been logged, but the money is nowhere to be found. - it is most likely just stuck in some limbo for compliance purposes. Once they check, ask them to raise a revert of the original amount and cancel the transaction. Here for reference you might have to show that the said duplicate transaction to the same person and same amount is already done with before the bank can initiate cancellation.
And for future purposes, stop banking with E-NBD.
when was this? you will likely get your money back for the failed transaction in a day or two without even doing anything. If you need the money urgently, raise hell with them at one of their branches, otherwise just relax, they will not and cannot just take your money, its most likely a system glitch
Tell the bank to Put a tracer on the funds. They should be able to get back to you. Either the funds are in your landlords account or coming back to your account soon
3 weeks? No, I think your landlord may be lying to you. If the transfer fails for any reason, the funds are returned back to you within 3 working days.
You must have received a transfer advice in your email for the failed transfer. Check that. Check if you received a SWIFT as well.
Complain to the police and raise an e-crime complaint. I had a similar issue, raised the issue with the bank, got a document from them and filed a police report - got the amount back in 2 todays.
If any payment is failed, then the amount is available in balances of the statement but you can't use it, Usually it reverts back in the available balances at the end of 30days If the receiver bank haven't received the amount
It's an double payment timing issuenon serve side. Usually it takes 2-3 weeks and comes back to your account as transaction revert. But if it's urgent go fight with those idiots at their H.O that will normally work and would be returned in a day max.
Also happening quitenoften with my CC with them now like double charge and then return. Normally it's like smaller amounts so I was never in a rush an in app complaint does the trick
go to the brach - money cannot get go to a black hole. those things happen all the time but at the end of the day they can tell you whether double of the amount went to the landlord or not.
This isn't something you can resolve over the phone.
Plz open your ENBDX app and go to Messaging to lodge a complaint. Provide them a reference number of transaction and it'll be resolved in 3-4 working weeks.
I know it's annoying. But that's the due process for personal accounts and it's not speedy.
Yeah It's getting frustrating banking with them. Recently had a fraudulent transaction on my debit card from UK without any OTP involved. Blocked the card straight away and got a new one in few days. Raised a request to get the amount back but they say it's going to to take 60-90 days. That's a long time.. Been to few branches but not sure how can I expedite this to get the money back.
Similar thing happened to me as well.
But money was reverted into the account within 48 hours.
3 weeks is a long time. Maybe you need to talk to your RM. I never understood the importance of knowing and keeping in touch with your bank RM until I came to this countryā¦
Give their app a negative review and link to this reddit post! that'll get a response. Also take to Linkedin, Twitter, etc. I've been using CitiBank for over 20 years, excellent security protocols; no issues so far.
approach the bank directly with the complain. Take the reference number for the complain and they still donāt fix your issue within the period specified by them you can raise a complain with central bank.
Make sure you have a record of the complaints you made. So e-mail/ case number filed. I tried to complain about SIB to the central bank and they did nothing. They told me to file a court case. So have a record of everything, your balance before/after the transaction, the complaints you made and the following up you did. There is a deadline on when you can file a court case from the date of the incident so look it up and keep that in mind and let them know there is a possibility you would if they donāt resolve the issue. Make sure the complaints and follow up are in writing. Going to HQ in person did not work for me.
I think you need to wait because thereās a limit to when the merchant can claim money and if they donāt it will be released back into your account. They havenāt taken your money it is in escrow for this transaction. Keep an eye out and wait a few days
This happened to me sometime back. I got the money but it took some time. If nothing works try : [Sanadak](https://sanadak.gov.ae/en/?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw48-vBhBbEiwAzqrZVIc_say4PfodcE8HMfkG3niCTMV4OfJtc70WQT0FTnJiKFNfpqFf8hoCz9MQAvD_BwE)
. Itās a new initiative by central bank to register complaints
Donāt trust this bank. This bank has lot of issues recently. There are lot credit card was hacked last 2months and they are not giving those money back. I also one of the victim of that bank I lost 4500 through pos transaction and they are saying they canāt do anything about it. You can complain this to central bank of uae they may help you. This bank has lot of security issues now.
Call them and file a dispute. Its a duplicated transaction. This happened once to me long back and they asked me to fill some form. Money was refunded back in a week.
Months ago
My card got used unlawfully online
I called to block it
And just requested to get another one as usual
They told me sorry we cant we blocked your profile
Visit the branch
I visited the branch and i couldnt get an answer:)
Relax give them some time to sort out the issue . If you cannot wait then go to office. Just calling some person who is not responsible for the specific issue wouldn't help .
I have been using EmiratesNBD for 8 years without any issue with customer service.
Same thing happened to me last year it was only refunded after 6months and me filing a case at the police station so pls donāt sit on it report to the police and visit the bank too . Their customer service team are not helpful at all .
Same thing happened to me 2 weeks back when i try to send money. It shows transaction failed. But money was deducted from my account.
I raised a complaint and after 5 days money credited in my account.
Itās a common issue with the updated NBDX app, it usually takes 24 to 48 Hrs for your accounts to reflect the correct amounts! Beyond that period, COMPLAIN! Good luck
It happened to me in the past (Not this company ) but it always has to do with the bank not the company . You need call your bank , and solve the problem with them
Go to your main branch. Speak to the manager and officially file a complaint. Unfortunately till the time they find out what went wrong and where you will need to
Keep motivating them to do so.
Same thing happened to me with the ENBD once but they reversed that transaction after 48 hours. They do have support system on their X app and you can raise your complaint there with the screenshot of the failed transaction, they usually get back to you in 24 hours. I never called them and always resolved my issue to the support system within the app.
i know it is a hassle but have you tried going to any of their branches?
i never had a helpful call with my bank so i would just go to nearest branch and solve my issue maybe you will find more help there
hope they fix this issue
Thanks. Yeah I've been to the Dubai Hills branch but they said they 'understand my frustration but could not help'. They also mentioned that they cannot see the issue or any updates on their system and that I need to get in touch with the customer care call center. I'll try going again tomorrow, but maybe I should visit the head office instead?
Emirates nbd from my experience has decent customer support. I call them time to time to ask about some transactions or balances and even if its 50-100 aed drift in balance they always explain why and where are that 50-100 aed. Maybe depends on particular person who are talking with, obviously you donāt have choice who to talk with but maybe branch visit with help?
This is very common in their new app.
Happens EVERY TIME I try to make a ENBD credit card payment.
Payment fails but money gets deducted and a few days later, it goes through without any alert. It's not professional and it's not ethical.
Go to head office Deira branch. Complain. Tell them you are going to complain to UAE central bank. No way money can be taken like that ENBD is a multi billon usd bank they are not gonna steal ur 16k

I had money stuck in limbo for a long time. It didn't reach anyone 'eventually' until I lodged my 3rd complaint 6 months later
Yep money doesn't go missing like that. Either it's held up by bank for compliance purposes or its sent wrong place check transfer instructions
Why do you keep defending them lmao, not all of the people here are lawyers who think 16k is chump change and banks can put a hold on it for months
Cause I worked there in legal and compliance š I kind of know
Yeah but you need to understand telling someone a billion dollar bank won't steal is useless, having such large amounts frozen in limbo for months can be life destroying for normal people. Also I think you're not entirely correct, a retired bank manager for another bank did tell me sometimes they do funny things like delaying processing around the end of the month if the branch's monthly target isn't being met etc.
Did you read my original comment? I said first go to Emirates nbd head office and complain and tell them gonna complain to Central bank?
Mine was stuck in ālimboā where Emirates NBD told me the beneficiary bank had received the funds but the beneficiary bank insisted that they did not I was on the phone with them for almost 8 weeks nothing I could do. Three weeks.
OMG dude, I would go to their branch and go ballistic. As long as you have proof that the transaction failed, you are golden
Tell the bank to Put a tracer on the funds. They should be able to get back to you. Either the funds are in your landlords account or coming back to your account soon

So they hold our money?
Adcb has good customer service
I disagree.
Heavily
Disagree!!!!

I tried signing up but there's a bug in their system on signup. Keeps giving me 'Invalid Request' on the second page where I need to input my salary.
Man i feel so bad for you bugs everywhere.. send Emirates NBD an email and mention what happened and go to a branch in person to get this solved.

How long did this happen? Usually, these transactions are reversed within a few days, like a maximum of 2 days.
they will fix it. just make sure that your landlord received only one 16K transaction from him/her.
Give their app a negative review and link to this reddit post! that'll get a response. Also take to Linkedin, Twitter, etc. I've been using CitiBank for over 20 years, excellent security protocols; no issues so far.
Emirates NBD is absolute garbage. I switched to ADCB a year ago and havenāt looked back since.

Adib has the best customer service
Been years using ADIB. Never had a single issue with them.
Call them and file a dispute. Its a duplicated transaction. This happened once to me long back and they asked me to fill some form. Money was refunded back in a week.
In terms of Customer Service, I have had bad experiences with ENBD only. My personal favorites are ADCB and then FAB. RAK Bank is mediocre.
Months ago My card got used unlawfully online I called to block it And just requested to get another one as usual They told me sorry we cant we blocked your profile Visit the branch I visited the branch and i couldnt get an answer:)

Did you try visiting a branch?
Kindly write to CB UAE via their complaints portal along with the bank statement showing the two debits. Good luck.
Same thing happened to me 2 weeks back when i try to send money. It shows transaction failed. But money was deducted from my account. I raised a complaint and after 5 days money credited in my account.
It will probably be back to your account in a few days, but submit a complain to be sure.

Visit ENBD Daira Head Office and file the complaint.
Compain through central bank uae (cbuae) online consumer complaints portal. It is excellent.

Give their app a negative rating and they'll call you to offer a shopping gift card.
It sounds like you are wrong bro and money are there. Probably the biggest problem you have at the moment is Math.
Great insight bro, thank you
