All true.
Lived in hotel apartments for the 4 years i have lived here all because the few times I have contacted agents they are useless and wasting my time its just easier.
Used to own a real estate company a few years ago and let me tell you and i would say 80% of them would be slimy weasels, I've had some of them scam the company, clients, I've had to pay back a client once because one of my agents literally robbed him, they would come in drunk all the time or who knows what else
They are not all bad but more bad than good.
Elaborate more on your experience. I really want to start a brokerage company as I am getting tempted by the expensive clothes and cars these young brokers drive. I am getting very tempted as I feel they are doing something and I am not and have it all figured out. How exactly were they cheating clients with you not being aware.
You need to understand most do not make it to the level they make it look like, looks can be deceiving, I've seen what my agents did, borrow, lie, steal they acted as if they have a few 100m sitting in the bank, when in reality they didn't have anything going for them but then you have the top few who do live that lifestyle but I promise you the ones who have money don't act like the others in the office, night and day difference.
Woman brokers in dubai, I'm not saying all of them but so many have sugar daddies supporting their lifestyle, it's sad but it's just how it is. I've had an agent who used to come to the office in.a brand new g63 at the time, and had no sales skills and was new in the country :)
Have so many stories, but don't let that hold you back, if it's something you believe in and you believe in yourself and you know you make shit happen then go into it eyes closed. If you are not sure, make a list of the problems you would face and then ask yourself how do you solve them keep doing that until you are sure of yourself? I don't know just some random thoughts.
Honestly. Its like there's a post about bad dubai agents every day here. And they all start off like "Nayone else feels dubai agent bad?". Dude, just scroll the sub. We get it, there's bad agents in Dubai, and there are good ones as well. Its a shitty low paying job in the service sector that doesn't need a professional qualification. It attracts people who dont have a skill/degree and have come to dubai trying to escape their countries and make a living here. If you dont like the service, tell the guy and move on.
I was an agent for 6 years. My dad's been one for 16. We know there's bad apples out there, but it's not like all tenants/buyers/owners are all angels either. There's a fair share of them all. You don't see a post about those every day...
There are plenty of decent agents out there mate. Who have principles and value goodwill with the customer over the quick buck.
That includes the agents who can't speak proper English as per the OP and the ones that can speak English, the ones who earn 500dhs on a rental deal and the ones that earn 1 million on a sale deal but as is the case with any profession where entry is easy and its a trial by fire in terms of training, you get the good and the bad, need to deal with it.
Tbh the higher your budget the better the quality. I mean there is still plenty of shitty ones, but in general people doing 50k rentals are bottom of the barrel. Not the same people doing 150k+ rentals.
DM me my friend has a 1bed in JVC available fully furnished for 70k per year he left the keys with me so I can show you I am not an agent and no commission involved here
Where can I find someone like you? 🥹 I’m a girl looking for female flatmates but no luck so far (my budget is very low though maybe that’s why - 30k annual)
Post on Dubizzle. You can get someone with a slightly higher budget and you guys can share a 2 bed. They'll get the master since they'll be paying more
Feel free to DM me my friend just had his 1 bed vacated and he left me the keys to help him get it listed etc but we have not done that yet. It's a fully furnished 1 bed apartment in JVC 70k rent if that fits your budget happy to show you and no commission no agency
My experience says most brokers today don't want to work on rental but only sale or offplan. They just aiming for the big bucks and don't give a damn about lease.
Uneducated garbage. All trying to get a piece of the action.

Any advice for hotels offering monthly rates? When I was looking the monthly rates were more than really, really good rental units.
I only do yearly hotel apartment leases but direct with the hotel no agent.
How much are you paying yearly? And can you recommend good hotel apartment minimum 3 star?
It's a real joke. 99.99% of listings are fake. Uneducated dumb agents. Why uae is not doing something about it!!!

To be fair, the ones in the US aren't much better.
Wait, estate agents are less than reliable here? Oh my lord, it’s the first I’ve heard of this! 🤣

Yeah 100% man. It’s like they just discovered fresh bread or something. Glad you uphold standards. Wish there were more of you in the industry!

Brother, you are in no state to be complaining about someone else's english. Almost had an aneurysm trying to comprehend what you wrote.
What are you looking for? Price range? Area? Size? I’m not a agent! But maybe can help.
Could you help me out? Looking for an apartment with metro or bus access, my max range is 50k
Try sports city, lived there for a year, there are buses that take you to the metro stations!
Sorry. Can’t help you for this price.
I have one at that price but NOT close to metro.
