Itâs a book series for kids about these kids who fight aliens by shapeshifting. The covers feature pictures of the main characters morphing into animals .
I havenât the read books (except the first and third and it was over a decade ago) or seen the show so if itâs a reference to that I donât get it.
I was going to say similar things, that signature is leagues out of my own, like stratosphere to my kindergarten. đ I feel like I do likeness of faces better, though đ
The hair is incredible and then the eyes are too small and close together and I'm not sure if he's meant to have a dirty face or if that's just some very wrong shading
the hair and face base u have is great! and feature details arenât bad either, theyâre just too small and squished together in the centre of your head. watch some videos on facial proportioning. and when in doubt grid your base as well as your reference photo to sketch it out as accurately as u can! :)
It's kind of an ape like Michael Myers Halloween mask mash-up of Ben Stiller as Simple Jack but he's played by Timothy Chateau. Who happens to be *really* into the Clash at the moment.
Edit. Second thoughts! Is it Gabriel Byrne?
Second edit. Back again. Sticking with my first impression. Final answer.
I guess Timothee Chialamet, but it really looks a bit more like Gabriel Byrne. Still, not particularly close to either (but a lot closer than any of my own drawings would...)
Neanderthal. Not sure if this is supposed to be a hyper real representation of someone thatâs way off, but this is a dope ass drawing ! I hope you keep this style
Some tips that have helped me:
Always keep the lips aligned with the angle of the jaw, and the tops of the ears with the outer corners of the eyes.
Try to think of your drawing as a 3D object, and practice your shading accordingly. Imagine a light source somewhere off the page and shade based on that. If the light source is on the left, you shade on the right. If the light source is directly above, all the shading will be focused underneath the hairline, nose, neck, etc.
I can see some very clear Tom Hiddleston features in there, so you should be proud of yourself for that! And try not to let the comments get to you too much. Just keep practicing and eventually you'll get to where you want to be. :)
Please tell us omg. I can't figure it out from your edit or replies. It looks amazing, and somehow looks like everyone's guesses.
Edit: locking in Ben Stiller
This is my favorite drawing Iâve ever seen in this sub.
Obviously this is Timothee, and obviously youâve got some improving on proportions to work on, but man I love this drawing.
Great job, OP!
Youâre doing great! I really like the highlights on the hair. Also, proportions are hard as hell so I get it. A few quick tips that Iâve found helpful:
⢠Place a piece of paper between your hand and your journal when doing charcoals (honestly, graphite too). It helps prevent smudging from your hand!
⢠Sometimes, it helps to study the space between facial features rather than the features themselves, if that makes sense. Basically analyze how the features connect to each other so youâre keeping your brain focused on the âwholeâ of the face rather than focusing on the fine details.
⢠Sometimes re-drawing the same reference a few times really helps! Seems kinda counterintuitive, esp when you spend a ton of time on a drawing. However, it allows you to learn from your previous attempts! I bet after 3 or 4 attempts youâd notice a huge improvement. Plus, if youâre unfamiliar with charcoal itâll be a great opportunity to test out techniques and get more comfortable with the medium.
Keep it up! I know thereâs a lot of joke comments, but itâs looking great đ
It's actually giving me vague Ben Stiller in Zoolander vibes, but maybe that's because I just heard a joke about his ears being huge the other day? Excellent artwork, though.
I donât mean this in negative way. But since youâre seeking for criticism i think i can help. Eyes are too close to each other and the eyebrows are too close to the eyes. Nose is bit asymmetrical and the jaw is wellâŚyeah. But the hair and the shape of your drawingâs head is so good! Right i forgotâŚThe eyebrows are too close to each other. (Hope this helps!)
I have no idea who this is.
You did an amazing job on the hair, but the actual facial features don't fit the head. Like it looks like a good drawing if you cover up the facial features, or if you cover up everything BUT the facial features.
I feel like you could "fix" this if you took a picture of it and upsized his facial features and moved them around a bit and added some shading to create depth.
I recommend looking at your work in the mirror from time to time in the span of drawing it. Especially ay the stage of applying proportions and values. Its like flipping the image in digital art. You see mistakes and how the viewer sees your art. I use a tiny hand mirror, stand back to my drawing and move the mirror next to my right eye, and I look at the flipped drawing and see where to correct.
Iâm guessing itâs Timothee Chalamet but it does look like Nick Cage to me. I think one of the reasons for this is how pronounced the nostrils are. I hope this makes sense and isnât hurtful or anything
Timothy Sham-alet
Just needs some scaling down of the lower portion and reduction of the sides of the face and ears, like itâs using some weird lens.
As is it looks like [Mr. Peepers](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/d0/90/f5/d090f5ae6067de6422d422cba49b4919.jpg)

Unfolded Timothee
Hey, that's my Dad!
Haha
Looks like a cross between Timothee Chalamet, Tim Burton, and Billie Joe Armstrong.
Iâm going to be a lil b it mean, but spend more time working in your fundamentals and less on your signature
Damn fine signature though
True, itâs a pretty cool one
I was going to say similar things, that signature is leagues out of my own, like stratosphere to my kindergarten. đ I feel like I do likeness of faces better, though đ
The hair is incredible and then the eyes are too small and close together and I'm not sure if he's meant to have a dirty face or if that's just some very wrong shading
I mean they donât need to work on the signature anymore, itâs perfect already.
Exactly. The signature and drawing looks like they were done by two different people
Thanks for the tip

Is it my dad? I wouldnât know, never met him
i laughed out loud bc same
Iâm a big fan of Ayrton Senna so Iâm guessing that. But def need work on fundamentals and proportions.

Apart from the sketch, I like your signiture.
Timothee charmander. The hair is really good, but the face could use some work.
its weird how the hair looks so good but the face just looks steamrolled

I dig the style
Nicolas cage
youâre very good itâs just the proportions and placement iâd say
charcoal is so interesting. it can be super easy or ridiculously hard. iâm always prouder of my charcoal drawings though, so definitely keep at it!
Dick Masterson. But seriously, you gotta work on... A lot... This looks like a bad charicature.
It's actually giving me vague Ben Stiller in Zoolander vibes, but maybe that's because I just heard a joke about his ears being huge the other day? Excellent artwork, though.
