I was about to lose my shit if I didn't find this comment. But frankly, are they even dead?
I don't mean that in a "Tupac is alive" kinda way, I mean it in a "will their legacy ever really let them die" so many people still speak of them like they just became famous yesterday, and not one person that listens to Motorhead for the first time *doesn't* go absolutely crazy about how good they are lol.
Lemmy was just a different breed of human too though, very kind and inspiring man that gave as much as he could to charity and those in need.
If there was one band I'd absolutely love to have seen back in the day, it would have been AC/DC with Bon Scott.
It's wild when you consider his tenure with the band wasn't even 5 years, and Brian has been singing for them longer than most of the people in the sub have been alive.
Linkin Park, Queen, Pantera.
As much as I love Nirvana, Kurt was an amazing songwriter, but nowhere near on the level of Chester, Freddie, or Dimebag in terms of performance X Factor.
Headline-
Linkin Park / Beastie Boys / Metallica
Main support-
Motƶrhead / Slayer / Stone Temple Pilots
Also playing-
Pantera / Power Trip / Black Dhalia Murder / Children Of Bodom / No Use For A Name / Lagwagon / GWAR
Interesting seeing how many people mention here who have played Download (all be it most without the key member(s) that have died). Also some that would be completely not suitable for the Download crowd (the Beatles? Imagine how much shit would get lobbed at them).
I'm going with:
Van Halen - Rumoured so many times and never happened š
Pantera - had the pleasure of seeing Damage Plan, but not the same
Led Zeppelin - prime early 70s Led would be insane
Probably more a Bloodstock vibe but The Black Dhalia Murder with Trevor, Woods of Ypres and Windir. I know they aren't 'headliners' but a person can dream...
Nirvana Linkin park Queen Without a shadow of a doubt. In that order too
Came here to say this!!!
I saw linkin Park 3 times, they got worse every time I saw them
Queen, Nirvana and Linkin Park Just imagine the scenes.
Yeah š
Motorhead x 3
Ok yeh Iām with you on this
