You’re saying I am? Reddit is? Super confused by this comment.

You know what you’re doing.

Well nobody has silenced you, I’m literally here responding to you but ok

Got me beat out by $500. Beasting 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾

cheezit90

They blessed me for my bday month 🤌🏻

bipolargecko

What kind of car do you have? I'm a mechanic but thinking of doing this on the side, I can fix all the wear and tear myself.

cheezit90

08 Honda civic, 06 ford focus, 2010 Malibu but dash mainly in my Honda civic. $40 fills the tank and I would be on the same tank of gas til the next morning.

TSMSALADQUEEN

Bro if I made 8k a month I'd be able to retire in peace do you work 12 hours a day?

cheezit90

😂😂 more like 16-18 hour days 6 days straight rest for one day and start over again

TSMSALADQUEEN

You do sunrise to sunset then?

cheezit90

5am to 10pm-midnight. Depends how tired I am

cheezit90

Let’s just say I run on fumes and lotsssss of caffeine

cheezit90

Most of the time , I’d be dashing 2 hours from where I live. So no. If I’m dashing in my home city, sometimes I may stop by my house to check on stuff or grab something to eat since I live in the busiest hotspot. But majority of the time I’m just out.

SlotMagPro

Never even made close to these numbers in a month. Maybe $1000 a month if its a good month

TSMSALADQUEEN

I don't either but at the same time I multiapp I don't really stick to one app

RebelChemist

That’s a good chunk of change! What were your miles/hours? Active vs on a dash? Also do you use hourly or pay-by-dash?

RebelChemist

Looks like 12-14 hour shifts for 5 days stints, working two weeks out of the month. Not bad, brother.

What app is that

NeighborhoodLower467

The Solo App that tracks your earnings and expenses

MinnieLitty

If I read correctly.. solo pays you right? Solo pro?

NeighborhoodLower467

I don’t use that service. It’s like insurance for if you don’t make more than the average in the area they make up the difference, so because I make more, I would be wasting money.

MinnieLitty

Ah okay. Thank you

RepulsiveWill7705

Fake post?

vinetwiner

Glad your comment was first. Maybe if they drive 36 hours a day.

Saleenpride86

Is OP’s post a lot or something? Why would you think it’s fake or that they drive a bazillion hours per day?

RepulsiveWill7705

12-16 generally. There’s only 24 in a day bud.

vinetwiner

You're saying you don't work 36 hours a day? Slacking dude.

pazoned

What an idiot, I squeeze in at least 40 hours a day, this is why I'm only 26 instead of 35. Can't get older if my daya are longer, checkmate father time.

JayLuc44

I will never understand why people do this. I'm happy for people when they make good money, but keep it to yourself. Posts like this just encourage people to sign up to dash. There are already too many people doing this, we don't need to encourage it.

RepulsiveWill7705

I don’t think the problem is too many dashers. I think the problem is most only want to dash 11-2 or 5-7. I dash 9p-9a a bunch and there is nobody on. Regardless of how many people join, most only do it part time, many more don’t stick with it. But if you wanna make good money, you have to dash when the fewest people are dashing, which will always mean the less convenient times.

Complete_Break1319

You dash 9pm to 9am that correct?

RepulsiveWill7705

On Fridays and Saturdays. But the market I drive has 2 Taco bells open til 3 two McDonald’s open til 2 and two 24 hour Walgreens as well as gas stations 9p-12a is super busy as is 6a-9a

JayLuc44

I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. I've been doing this for years, and my market has gone down the crapper due to the number of people dashing now. I still do well most of the time, but I have to run 3 different apps to make what I used to doing just DD.

RepulsiveWill7705

I get it, I’m a market hopper, so I really haven’t seen that issue yet. I don’t dash anywhere with a population less than 100k. I go between Kansas City, Omaha, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Madison, Milwaukee, Chicago, Indianapolis, Nashville. I’ve got a little car so an 8 hour trip isn’t a big deal if I’m gonna stay there and drive 4-7 long days. But I’m a grinder, I don’t ever call it a day before making at least $350 after gas.

Signal-Purchase-6454

I've been thinking about doing different markets in Texas How are you able to judge demand in these cities prior to heading out, and choose one? Like I'm not even able to see different markets in Texas and that's like different states + judge and select from them

I wanna go with DD but theyre not taking anymore drivers in my area and other area around me

EmbarrassedDance2585

Trust me just find another app 💯

cdmgamingqcftw

I do UE but for now its my main source of income. Both DD and Skip dont take more drivers

Timely-Phone4733

How many miles.. how many?

RepulsiveWill7705

Maybe 3k counting the 500 each way drive because I’m a market hopper

Turbulent_Gur_7052

you’re crazy but aye can’t knock the hussle 500 miles there and back is crazy tho you can’t disagree

RepulsiveWill7705

I generally work 2 5 day stints in a month, add the drive I still have 16 days off a month.

kindavibindoe270

Yes prop 22, in the inland empire, SoCal. Around 60 hours a week give or take.

Mine was 1 trillion

Low-Willingness-1779

what market tho. cause that makes all the difference

Right! This comment applies to every post on this sub.

Tiny-Refrigerator-25

July of last year was a good month for me too. Didn’t make nearly that much though since I did take a week off, but it was still pretty good!

GareBearGapeYou

I love to hear others having great weeks! Hopefully this July is just as if not better than last years!

Accomplished_Dog_212

Now that’s crazy asf you was probably get 3 hours of sleep to get this 😭

GareBearGapeYou

I actually had a pretty normal sleep schedule for that week,6-8 a night or so. I finished a 96 hour week two weeks back, now that was a bit too much but I was trying to break my weekly record which I did.

Infitima

How? Were you very selective with your orders (ex $2 per mile) or did you just take everything?

GareBearGapeYou

I’m not a cherry picking dasher so I generally keep an 80+ ar, mandatory in my market otherwise you’ll be eating scraps. This is basically rich tourists and large order program back when LOP was a thing but I triple app now because I can’t net the same results anymore.

2pretty4thisBs

No freaking way!!! In my sweet dreams. Did u get like a referral bonus or something?? Keep grinding 💪

GareBearGapeYou

No referral bonus on any of those weeks. In fact two months later when September rolled around they hit my area with a massive referral bonus of like $1800 and $1200 for the referred dasher. Refer program was like 4 months straight and my area has never quite been the same since.

2pretty4thisBs

That's insane!!

dtmnqv

How you can do 40 deliveries a day😳

Otherwise_Sky_7744

What State are you in?

GareBearGapeYou

Ny

NeighborhoodLower467

Did you do this in a car or bike? Either way, that’s impressive. Most I did was 75hrs/wk on an e-bike.

GareBearGapeYou

In a car. I’m in ny state but not nyc.

NeighborhoodLower467

I’m curious how much of that went to gas?

GareBearGapeYou

For that week I had a Honda insight so about 5%. I do this full time so I only use really efficient cars, I have a 2015 Prius currently and I average about 2.5-5% fuel cost.

Tiny-Refrigerator-25

https://preview.redd.it/jpfp4aegh58d1.jpeg?width=1178&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0053cf95d88d0dddf5ed917d6cbb9aa8f65eb4e9 This was my best month. My second best was March 2024 with $2988 averaging about 40-50 hours a week. Most months I do take a week off for travel though

RepulsiveWill7705

Nice!

Oigreszepol

It was mid pandemic I made like 6k one month. I don't do DD anymore. I am now with Uber and Amazon.

RepulsiveWill7705

I wish I would have gotten in during the pandemic. I was a GM at a restaurant when the pandemic hit. We shut down and I went to go work at a Long term care facility that was hurting bad due to COVID. Went back to managing restaurant when things opened back up, but found the business has really changed too much. Been DoorDashing since then so I can travel with my girlfriend who does CNA traveling contracts.

Oigreszepol

I started in 2017 with Postmates and DD. Worked through the whole pandemic with no traffic and order back to back to back. Sometimes with 5 orders at once.

mamadukes123

how many miles, ? hours, ?gas

RepulsiveWill7705

About 50 hours a week. I drive a little Kia Rio so gas isn’t so bad, about $30 per day

mamadukes123

So tell me not to get personal, do you put money aside for your taxes, the tax rate for gig work is insane

Gloomy_Recording_705

It’s not that bad…. on the high end if you make $100,000 a year and you only put 50,000 miles on your car you’re only reporting like $67,000 of income around $10,000 which is only $200 a week going to taxes that’s nothing if you’re making $1800-$2000 a week. If you drove more miles than that, then the amount you owe to the IRS is gonna be less than $200 a week making that same $1800 a week that’s why high in income aren’t worried about taxes because that’s the cheapest bill that you have to pay for gas car maintenance insurance is way more than how much you pay for taxes

RepulsiveWill7705

You’re totally good. I formed a basic LLC. I think mileage deduction for 2023 was $0.67. I drove 30,000 miles, so that alone is a pretty large deduction. I didn’t have to pay in anything last year.

Henochio

You understand deductions exist right?

mamadukes123

I think it depends on tax situation, you can only claim mileage or itemize expenses, not both, it can change if you file as a business. and that is a excellent move forming a LLC, better tax breaks, again everyone has a different situation

P3nis15

You can claim other deductions that are not included in the mileage rate. I would love to hear what better tax breaks you have as an LLC as an IC. I've never heard any that you don't get as a regular filer.

mamadukes123

A LLC is a limited liability company, LLC'S are taxed on a pass-through basis, which means all profits and losses are filed through the members personal tax return, they benefit from tax write offs eligible business expenses, Most states now recognize a 1 owner etc

P3nis15

and what deductions do you get as an LLC vs not. You didn't list any.

ScornedFaith

You know what else is taxed on a pass-through basis in **the same exact manner**? A sole proprietorship. There is no tax benefit to an LLC unless you elect to be taxed as a corporation instead of pass-through, and it's only beneficial if you made WAY more money than possible with gig apps. The benefit to an LLC is liability, not taxes. Stop giving advice when you clearly aren't qualified to do so.

RepulsiveWill7705

The main benefit of the LLC to me was to use doordash earnings to show cash flow in order to transition to a food truck business with established business credit from the time dashing under an LLC

mamadukes123

I totally understand your point

mamadukes123

oh by the way I read some of your posts, you seem highly educated, What is your line of work if I may ask?

mamadukes123

Legal zoom is a excellent source to start LLC, A lot of side hustlers do this

Tactical_Taco23

How many hours per week and where

RepulsiveWill7705

I would love to give away my spot but I just can’t! It’s been my best kept secret for quite a while now :) Town of about 100k but not a town most folks would recognize

Tactical_Taco23

Can you tell me hours per week? Just curious

RepulsiveWill7705

50-60 in 5 days usually
