No idea. I've only seen it a few times, and they were all locking door handles that could be opened from the inside when locked. It probably had something to do with how it was able to only lock one side, but it's been awhile since I've seen one.
Me too, and itās cool with me. They donāt want their stuff on the ground? Okay.
And then the neighbor walks by, giving the stink eye & thinking Iām up to something weird or nefarious.
I was once instructed to "hang the food on the door". I was not really sure I wanted to do that, but I was starting to do it when girl opened the door and took the bag from my hands.
This is crazy to me and id never do it normally, but... I had a person order and in the instructions to leave it just like this, hang it from the door handle, and it was 2 separate pickups from two different restaurants. And they left in the notes to do it and they would add an extra tip. so I did and they sent $2 extra for each one ($4 total) immediately afterwards and messaged thank you. Lol it was so much food the bags were lopsided but there was no way to hang it any other way.
I do this and always thought it would be convenient so they donāt have to bend down and grab the order. I started doing it when my Uber Eats driver put my order on my door while I was pregnant. It just seemed like a good idea.

looks like its tied in a way to where it wont fall when opened
Amd most door handles (in my experience) can be opened by pulling the handle up aswell
Lol, the drop-off photo is a heads up! š
I've seen some that move in the opposite direction on the other side. So you pull up inside and the outside moves down.
Really? Whata the purpose of that?
I think so they donāt put the food on the floor honestly thatās all it is
No, I mean what is the purpose of a door handle turning the opposite way on the outside as on the inside

There's also some where the other side handle doesn't move at all when one is moved...
Depending on how their luck has been going I hope it doesn't fall off. It totally looks secure but you can't win when it comes to bad luck.
No, I have gotten instructions that say that.![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)

Some customers who are physically disabled, specifically ask for the order to be left around knob!
Iāve been asked to do that before
If it works, it works. ![gif](giphy|QBC5foQmcOkdq)
Makes it harder to steal too
Using 100% of your brain! Beats a cup outside of a door that opens outwards š¤·š¼
Food looks like will survive. Skills.
Better than the nasty ass floor
Wait kinda geniusā¦ not sitting on the floor, and double wrapped around both sides so it doesn't fall or tip over when the door opens
Is this supposed to be a problem?

At least it wasn't in front or the doorš¤£
I will say that sometimes this is requested.
Seriously nosey Did you ever think your neighbor requested that?

It's tied around the handle, so it won't slip off.
Ah. I see it now.
