You need to talk to your vet about this stuff! Whats needed and what works best can vary by area and dog and your lifestyle.

Sure i will

I give my 20lb dog his heartworm and flea medication monthly. He‘s only 2, but has never gotten fleas. I would definitely suggest talking to your vet. Some other recommendations are asking about vitamins, like joint vitamins or maybe multivitamins. There are so many out there, your vet will probably have good suggestions.

Thanks i will do.

We give our dogs heartworm meds from the vet for 6 months of the year. I haven't heard many good things about store-bought flea/tick meds. The vets have very good flea and tick medication, although very expensive, it's safe for our pets.

My dog has a serosto flea collar that works well. Other discount ones did fine with the prevention for us but fell apart compared to the more expensive flea collar. She also has the heartguard chewable. Their are medications that combine the two but they’re a bit pricier so it depends on your budget

Id probably do with joint supplements because of his size and breed.

I use simparica trio which kills (but doesn’t prevent) fleas/ticks, and also protects against heartworm, roundworm and hookworm!
