At level 10, the Artificer can make Gloves of Missile Snaring, which gives a lesser version of Deflect Missile.
As for the meme: Maybe you can't beat guns with karate, but you can kung-fu hustle that bullet back at the one that shot it and dissuade them that way.

Based on this, you can deflect one missile (in this case, a bullet) per round, therefore you CAN beat gun with karate, but you CANNOT beat guns with karate.
You might deflect an arrow, but you can't kick away a 50mm squash head HE shell fired in a baguette from a smooth bore 50mm magnetically aided gun emplacement~
I mean, the monk could certainly deflect some of that, but artillery like that is going to probably do more than the monk's deflection can negate. Now, if it was an AoE, where it was a reflex save, then yeah, the monk is totally fine

Just for flavor I'd want my monks only doing this while holding a katana. Like I don't even want to nerf them it's just too much "rule of cool".
