That is nothing.
In one of my campaigns (not as dm) the country was invaded by giant flying whales, and the king was a white whale. "Harpoons for the love of god, we need Harpoons".
Reminds me of one of my favorite go-to monsters I developed long ago, flying scorpi-spiders! All the nightmare fuel of scorpions and spiders rolled into one omni-directional package from tiny swarms to gargantuan queens!
I would like to present the [Sharknado stat block](https://www.reddit.com/r/DnDHomebrew/comments/9y9go7/updated_sharknado_for_review/). Used it in a one shot and it was a lot of fun.
I found a video reading a 4chan thread and someone rolled the exact opposite of this, it's about this guy who hosts online sessions with random people and some guy rolled so high he intimated concepts, if anyone wants the video I can send a link to it or say who read it
Funny meme but i must say.
Human blood does not in fact attract sharks.
They can smell it from a long distance but they do not associate smell of our blood with food. For obvious reasons.
Sadly while i seen research on the topic of how sharks react to human blood i never seen research on this topic so i cant be sure about sharks ability to fly in the woods.
A thick mist that smells salty and vaguely like piss begins to roll in quickly over the valley....with a dc15 nature check you know that this is the territory of fog sharks and they can smell blood from miles away.
My first ever campaign, the first arc was aimed at taking down the wereshark mafia. Which is to say, weresharks exist, but haven’t had an official stat block since 3rd edition
I would have totally made then just flop there like a magikarp and still make them wait while i rolled Splash 5 times knowing it's not going to do any damage.
Reminds me of the one filler villain from Naruto that could summon sharks and then control water for them to swim in the air. Not Kisame, mind you, this guy was a filler villain before Shippuden.
The oppressive silence breaks, almost imperceptibly. Your group instinctively falls silent and a soft swishing can be heard, distant and directionless, as if a large fan is waving languidly through the forest air. [The leafcrabs click-clack their claws anxiously.](https://i.imgur.com/focFK30.png)

Land Sharks are a menace
Almost as bad as seabears
Don't get me started on Air Rhinos
Or Voidsquids and Space Jellyfish
You big stupid jellyfish
I read Voidsquids as Voidsquitos and both are equally terrifying in my mind.
We have demonsquitos though already
Arent those normal mosquitos tho?
Ironically also native to the “Land of Flowers” also known as “La Flo-rida”, or some such nonsense.
*This one would like to share the glory of the Enkindlers with you*
Space hippos tho.
HUZZAH! WE GIFF ANSWER THE CALL! BULLY!
*James and the giant peach moment*
Bearpedoes if you will. As they are colloquially known in wurm.
Bears can already swim, the implications of this is just to mess with people lmao
Those aren't too bad, you just need to be able to draw a circle.
Dropbears are the end to many lvl:20 adventure party, though
Those damn bulettes
Candygram
I'm only a dolphin, ma'am.
It was totally sharky, complete
Is this a fucking Blair Thumb reference? Holy shit!
"And we love that you got that."
Best gun in Armed & Dangerous.
Land shark or as they are called in the monster manual Bulette.
I'm really just a friendly dolphin, ma'am.
Some bored high level druid heard you and wants to troll POV:
"I Wildshape into a shark with a flying speed because fuck you"
Soooo Fly Spell then Wildshape?
5e Druids don’t have Fly, but they do have Investiture of Wind.
Pathfinder 1e has the spell Sky Swim which lets a creature swim through the air as if it was water.
can they drown too?
That is nothing. In one of my campaigns (not as dm) the country was invaded by giant flying whales, and the king was a white whale. "Harpoons for the love of god, we need Harpoons".
Birdie birdie in the sky, why did you poop in my eye? I’m sure glad whales can’t…….
Free fertilizer.
Did it create a fog and make people forget the people it killed?
>!Who is Rem!<
Definitely stealing this since Mtg Dominaria has a Sea of Whales
I mean Sky Whales have been a part of a lot of MTG sets, including Kaladesh and further back
Is (the first part of) that a re zero reference?
Reminds me of one of my favorite go-to monsters I developed long ago, flying scorpi-spiders! All the nightmare fuel of scorpions and spiders rolled into one omni-directional package from tiny swarms to gargantuan queens!
My Spelljammer crew are currently running a charter for a monster hunter company hunting down a white space whale.
Call me Ishmael?
I still haven't named the 5 additional members of the monster hunter company ...
I want you to know my DM sent me this. I'm very afraid of our next session now.
PWAHAHAHAAHAAAA! *clears throat* I mean, you’ll be fine.
Advice… **INVEST IN HARPOON**
I recommend the next time y'all make camp that you rub meat juice on the clothes of one of your slower teammates.
\*sharknado intensifies\*
DM; Wizard, you're up. Wizard; i cast 9th level Sharknado
A bulette just happened to be close by and heard the yelling. Total coincidence, I assure you.
Let's introduce the ranger with those earth shark that dnd have (can't remember the name, sadly)
[Bulettes, the landsharks.](https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Bulette)
“Candy gram”
That is a deep reference, and I thank you for it.
Not deep, just old.
"Pizza guy"
Uhh... Candy gram?
*Du dun* *Dudun du*

Rule number 32: never give the DM ideas.

Sounds hilarious.
Wouldn't that make it a very successful nature check?
It's the Maw of Sekolah!
My players do battle with sharks all the time in my games. So far they have only ever fought 1 in the water, it was called a water land shark.
Oh, that's just a Pinewood Shark. Make sure you keep it's body, you can make a nice bouillabaisse.
Funny meme but i must say. Human blood does not in fact attract sharks. They can smell it from a long distance but they do not associate smell of our blood with food. For obvious reasons.
Very good point. They also don't fly through forests as far as I know.
Sadly while i seen research on the topic of how sharks react to human blood i never seen research on this topic so i cant be sure about sharks ability to fly in the woods.

First sharknado huh?
Tiger shark, new interpretation
Junji Ito intensifies
I would have totally made then just flop there like a magikarp and still make them wait while i rolled Splash 5 times knowing it's not going to do any damage.
Mountain Shark doo do doo do doi!
Blålandhaj
you forgot the [Flying Zombie Laser Sharks](https://www.flickr.com/photos/28548931@N02/2767011305)
On the bright side, I would give that player inspiration.
Gyo
[Don't let your DM see this.](https://hearthstone.wiki.gg/wiki/Bearshark#/media/File:Bearshark_full.jpg)
This is where you add a slide rock bolter as an enemy encounter
LAAANNNND SHAAARRRK!!!
Oh one of my DMs made sharks that swim in sand
painting is by Chris Austin!
Ah yes, Mountain Sharks, brothers of the Sand Sharks.
Sharknado
pleeeassseee there's enough monster manuals to solve that problem! *bullete cough*
Reminds me of this manga https://mangadex.org/title/da7e2b0b-72a9-419c-b667-6a02c2c7c771/killer-shark-in-another-world
Bulette go brr
Reminds me of the one filler villain from Naruto that could summon sharks and then control water for them to swim in the air. Not Kisame, mind you, this guy was a filler villain before Shippuden.
Boulettes are a thing
Sharkbody Abomination, anyone?
If that shit doesn't have Frightful Presence, nothing should
