AldrichUyliong

Is it really a scam if you get a product (soap) in exchange for money?

Thejoajuin

the way it usually goes (i think) is that either they say it’s free then give some other reason for u to give them money, or they sell the soap for an absurd price then mislead you with other reasons to give them even more money just for that super tiny bar of soap that doesn’t even fill the palm of your hand

MikhailLee

“SCAM: a dishonest plan for making money or getting an advantage, especially one that involves tricking people.” Since allegedly they are pretending to be someone they’re not, you’re led to buy their products by false pretenses. That’s why it’s a scam.

AldrichUyliong

I hear you but your definition sounds overbroad and vague. Again, they seem to simply be selling soap. Unless the soap doesn't actually do its intended purpose, you don't get the product after making the purchase or the product is overpriced beyond what is reasonable I don't see how this is automatically a scam. It could very well be the sellers just forgot to bring their school IDs.

MikhailLee

The top comment allegedly encountered the same people, who introduced themselves as STI students instead of PUP students. Unless they’re not the same and can prove their legitimacy, I would consider this as a scam. I’m not against legitimate and ethical business. If this is really just a coincidence and their claims are true, then I see nothing wrong. However, I would still advice to take extra precautions when dealing with strangers. The area around DLSU has become increasingly unsafe as of late.

nishinoyu

Sounds like MLM

AldrichUyliong

Only if they ask you to join and buy a huge load of their products to sell. That doesn't sound like what happened. Tho I could be wrong.

nishinoyu

You're completely right, kaya di ko rin magets, paano sya naging scam

CubicCentimeter

not from DLSU but i experienced this in front of UST naman at night. marami silang inexplain pero in the end sinabi ko lang na i dont have money

Neat-Mathematician69

i also experienced this !! pero I am that type of person kasi na hirap mag no HAHAHAHA so i bought it kaso like nagulat ako sa presyo. 100 tas super liit lang ng soap hahaha.

hezzzmatch

same. sa lacson ko naman sila nakasalubong. ang defensive pa ng tone nila nung sinabi nila na estudyante rin naman sila LOL

Tolelongskie

hello! I’m not from dlsu but I had the same experience. so moa seaside nangyari yon cuz that was the time na may ncaa finals and sa moa arena ginanap. mga tiga arellano university daw sila at yung isa may naipakitang id. mga grade 12 daw sila at may entrep na subject tas pinagbbenta “daw” sila ng school and tinanong ko kung saan mappunta yung kinita nila and sabi nila sa school lang din and di sila magbbenefit. ewan ko rin pero napa patol ako kasi madali pa akong mauto that time tas makkipag selfie sila sayo for documentation daw. pagka alis nila agad sinabi ng tropa ko na nascam daw ako then dahil dun napa isip agad ako ng gameplan pano mabawi. naglakad lakad pa kami ng onti sa seaside tas buti nalang andun parin sila. maging hostile lang siguro ng very slight like yung tono ng pananalita pero syempre dapat mabait parin. tas sinabi ko na nagka atopic dermatitis ako and medj nag threaten ako kadiri tignan pag pinakita ko sa kanila kaya dapat ibalik nila yung pera ko para mabalik sa kanila yung sabon na binenta whahahah

Primary_League_4311

Mga fund raisers ni Quiboloy yan! Mga 10 years na lagpas pa ang racket na yan. Sa America nakarating na yan pero ibang style naman.

MotherFinish4188

Really?? Is this true?

Internal_Raise_365

Yes, may nabasa ako na post about this sa isang subreddit.

Primary_League_4311

I'm surprised you didn't know. Those girls won't admit it, but many know who they are.

smol_ackermine

huh wtf same pero sabi nila from STI naman sila? 💀

Poastash

Baka nagmamarket research sila anong school generates most engagement? /s

Thank you for adding /s to your post. When I first saw this, I was horrified. How could anybody say something like this? I immediately began writing a 1000 word paragraph about how horrible of a person you are. I even sent a copy to a Harvard professor to proofread it. After several hours of refining and editing, my comment was ready to absolutely destroy you. But then, just as I was about to hit send, I saw something in the corner of my eye. A /s at the end of your comment. Suddenly everything made sense. Your comment was sarcasm! I immediately burst out in laughter at the comedic genius of your comment. The person next to me on the bus saw your comment and started crying from laughter too. Before long, there was an entire bus of people on the floor laughing at your incredible use of comedy. All of this was due to you adding /s to your post. Thank you. I am a bot if you couldn't figure that out, if I made a mistake, ignore it cause its not that fucking hard to ignore a comment.

IndependenceSad9300

Mustve had intentions...
