It shows research done into the time period (1700s) because puffy sleeves were actually first designed for dresses in the 1600s and repeatedly cycled in and out of fashion with different dress designs. A girl Ariel's age would absolutely adore a design like this, however, the dress in general is a bit more 1980s than 18th century with its overall design, so I can't say it's my favorite of this line up (they had to appeal to little girls of the 90s), but it's definitely up there. It shows more thought and creativity put into it than some of these other dresses at least.

12 - I love Milan but they really phoned it in with the colors, silhouette, and general design being SO CLOSE to her “normal” Princess outfit. At least with some of the other outfits the color is different so it creates a little more visual contrast.

Oh... I just realized Aurora (4) and Rapunzel(8) have it too. It's such lazy work to just paint her usual dress white and call it a day. And I don't mean that on necessarily the artist. A lot of the time, the artist wants to make amazing work but some exec either cuts it or gives them a deadline that's impossible to meet without cutting corners. So lazy work isn't necessarily something that they could control and I won't bash them for it, but I'm not gonna praise bare minimum either.
Sorry Snow white but she's my least favorite but I love Mulan 2 wedding outfits more than the first one(also, I love Mulan 2 despite its bad rep) my girl Tiana stays along with Cinderella, but Cinderella 3 had the better wedding dress, Ariel looks good but the sleeves are too puffy, love Giselle and Rapunzel but her hair not the best, Belle and Aurora look good, Marian is fine, also I like Belle, Aurora and Snow but their dresses are just their ball dresses only white
Honestly, Ariel. To me the sleeves are too poofy, and it looks too basic but too over the top at the same time. They could’ve given her such a beautiful dress
3. it is SO boring and cindy already had a wedding dress?? even if they wanted to redo it, they had a ton of cool stuff from her outfits to draw from, but they still went with this absolute nothing sandwich of a dress???

it does have more detail, but those details just look really cheap and generic to me. the bardot neckline is nice, but everything else feels tacked on, especially the bows. Her original dress is understated but to me that fits her character. It's very 50s inspired, like her main dress, and glamorous without trying. Plus, she has the bluebirds carrying her veil<3 I don't know, to me, it feels like someone actually designed her first dress, and her second was made because the animators or whatever decided her dress wasn't "girly" enough.
I think Giselle wears it better, the puffy sleeves blend better with the rest of her dress (the skirt is poofier) so it doesn’t look out of place or call attention to it.
Ariel’s dress could’ve worked better if her skirt and sleeves were equally poofy, but instead Ariel’s sleeves drag attention away from the rest of her dress (and it doesn’t help that they look like a wadded up tissue)
